Holiday rentals with a kayak in Carleton County

Me and my family had a great weekend and made memories we will have forever! The place was beautiful 10/10 recommend & we definitely will be back!!

The home went above and beyond my expectations! From the moment you walk in, there’s lots of pieces with funny quotes around the house that give you a good chuckle and make the place more inviting. There were kayaks available, life jackets, and even a wet suit! There were board games and a room with a double monitor taking our gaming experience over the top. A fire pit right by the water making it a the perfect place to lay and look at the stars. The host was very friendly and extremely responsive, I would definitely book again! Lynn’s property is lovely and peaceful with beautiful views. Everything was as described and extremely well equipped, including the kitchen, which is the best equipped I have ever seen for an Airbnb. Communication was timely, easy and clear. I would definitely stay again!

Shaune and Danny were super host! They treat us like family. Cozy , super clean place, amazing view , great local town and it has everything you need to relax , cook , grill and unplug. Yet you can still check your email. My 3 Golden’s loved it and she was kind enough to let us have them! She left us the most delicious home mad jelly and dog treats. Recommend her place and other rentals 100% thank you! 🥰

Myself and my wife from Dublin, Ireland along with our adult daughter living in Melbourne , Australia spent 3 nights in Rob's cottage beside a lake in Lakeville Corner, New Brunswick, Canada. The cottage and surrounding area were exactly as described by Rob in his listing and for us it was the perfect location as we availed of the 2 kayaks provided via the property frontage straight onto the water. We also availed of the 2 bikes which we used along with a further bike hired in Fredericton( an easy 30 min drive away from Rob's cottage)on that town's network of off-road cycletracks alongside and near the St John's River. We also took a car ride to Fundy National Park visiting Alma and several stop off points for hikes etc. Rob's communication was excellent in all respects. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend Rob's cottage in all respects including in terms of location, cleanliness and facilties provided.

We had a great stay very close to the snowmobile trails and to town. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

What a beautiful, peaceful spot! The layout was perfect for having our family Easter dinner. I was in the kitchen but still able to interact with my family. There were also some lovely visitors on the lawn every evening after dinner! 🦌

This was our second time staying here. If you’re looking for a remote, rustic, peaceful stay - this is your place. But be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes. There were so many in fact that we couldn’t explore the property but the screened in porch with the wood stove was the highlight of our trip. We’ll book again. Mostly to say hello to the resident bunny who kept hanging around. We named him Roger in case you see him. Say hello from us.

our second stay at this serene cottage and couldn't ask for a better staycation! Responsive and helpful host and easy to navigate instructions. Everything you could need for a peaceful and fun lake front property. perfect outdoor seating areas, deck, kayaks and SUP board, BBQ and so much more! Thank you Shannon for the perfect get away! Very beautiful place - the view is breathtaking! The cottage is very nice! And the host, Line, is very responsive and friendly!

Rachel was so kind and even had a card and treat waiting for us once we arrived. Everything was perfect! Beautiful scenery and right on the lake. There are only two things I would note. There isn’t a microwave just and the shower fluctuates from hot to cold randomly.

It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend with a few friends! Right from the start we were made to feel welcome with a welcome basket with everything we needed for smores including fire starters and sticks in addition to nice handwritten note. We all loved the cottage inside with more than enough room for both kids and adults to relax or play games, sleep and eat supper. Outside was also great with the bbq, fire pit, propane fire table, especially at night with the amazing stars!), yard games and of course the beautiful lake especially with the leaves at this time of year! We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and a little swimming repeatedly including the last morning after the hosts graciously allowed us to check out a couple hour later! We, especially the kids, also enjoyed the visits from a very friendly pug the hosts had told us would likely drop by. All in all I highly recommend staying at Shore Thing Cottage! We will definitely consider coming back!

Superb hostess, very well appointed cottage from kitchen set up to bathroom. Excellent screened porch, great views of the lake from every window, loved the kayaks and canoes, firewood and fire ring, peanuts to feed the chipmunks- we can’t say enough about how lovely the cottage is and how much we enjoyed our stay!

This cabin is the perfect retreat when you need to get away! Cozy yet chic, it has everything you need for a relaxing weekend in the woods. We loved that we could bring our dog too!

Karen and Ben were the best hosts ever. They put so much care and attention to the little things that make a place feel like home. From the spare toothbrush and Ziploc bags to the tackle and rods. What was even more amazing was their rescue without hesitation. We were stranded in Fredericton with a flat and they not only picked us up that night but brought us around and back to town in the morning for our repairs. Gracious, caring, proactive and authentic are but a few words that can describe the hosts and lake house. Thank you for making us feel like we were staying with family.

Cari's place is the best if you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, relax, and unwind! The cottage is spacious and spotless. Cari was extremely friendly and responsive. We have stayed in short-term rentals nationwide; Cari's was the best so far!

Paradise on the Lake was just that….Paradise. From Kayaking to swimming, Paradise on the lake was exactly what our two families needed. A great place to unwind before back to school. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very cozy.

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Cozy and comfortable with a great view. We went for a fishing trip and this location was ideal. Allison was a great host, very responsive and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend and we will be back next year!

Jill and Sam’s place was lovely and was everything they described! They were lovely hosts and very flexible. Amazing views & lovely cabin. Would stay with them again!

We stayed here for a snowmobile trip up from southern New England and couldn’t have worked out better. The hosts were in close communication from start to finish and a log home by the lake was a perfect setting. Would definitely recommend.
