“My friends and I had an amazing week at Gary's apartment. We took a working vacation (work during the day/explore Portland on nights and weekends), and this was just a great stay all-around. Can definitely recommend. Apartment: The apartment is on the first floor of a renovated house. It had all the amenities we needed, everything was in great condition. The shower had good water pressure, the beds were comfortable, and we had no issues with noise or anything else. There is a cute seating area in the back, and we used the parking spot in the driveway (though we also used street parking with no issues). Host: Gary was a fantastic host! He was very flexible with our check-in, which was much appreciated. He thoughtfully left us flowers, fruit, chocolates, etc. which was such a sweet touch, and dropped off an extra umbrella on a rainy day. He was easy to reach, and helped us find/arrange the trip to a nice beach on the weekend. Location: We thought the location was really good. It's not in the bustling center of Portland, but an easy (flat) mile walk to most of the restaurants, and you can walk along the water. It was very easy to drive to, and does have a few cafes and restaurants right around. We felt totally safe, and walked almost everywhere.”

“Location, cleanliness, privacy, and convenience all combined in one great value. We had a lovely long weekend in Portland, and Carlo’s place was so convenient and nice to come home to every night after a busy day touring Portland. The space is very spacious, clean, and had all the amenities of a small full apartment including a kitchenette. We even took advantage of the patio one morning to eat breakfast. The shower pressure is strong (so important and never noted!) and the bathroom is clean! It was an easy 5 minute walk from downtown and we were happy to get away from the bustling port area every night to our quiet respite. Thank you Carlo for your suggestions and very prompt responses to any needs!”

“Our stay at Raven's Nest (the affectionate name for Ian & Suzen's lovely lodgings) was simply wonderful! The space is actually quite large and totally private - there are two bedrooms; the one bedroom, which we used, has two roomy beds in it, and the other has a separate bed and a little dining area with a two-person table, microwave, and fridge. There is also a little bathroom that has a shower with incredible water pressure. All throughout the living areas, there are a million little touches that create a homey atmosphere - art, knick knacks, and little notes explaining how to use everything and where to find essentials. The location is great; it is only about 20 minutes from Kennebunkport and Old Orchard Beach, and it is within 30 minutes of downtown Portland. Plus, my favorite brewery that I've been to (Barreled Souls) is about 5 minutes down the road! Ian and Suzen were great at communicating with us very quickly. They made sure that their check-in process was COVID-19 friendly, and they regularly messaged us to make sure that we did not need anything. The power went out due to the weather at one point during our stay, and they immediately reached out to let us know that they were connecting the generator and were already in touch with the electric company to have it back up and running. I would highly recommend staying with them, if you are planning a trip anywhere around Portland, OOB, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, etc.”
