Ham's Haus is the definition of hygge. Our stay at Ham's Haus was incredible. Claire and Jenner have created an amazingly well thought-through, well-designed retreat. It was the perfect spot for a three-day mini-honeymoon, with our dog, after our Minneapolis wedding. It was impeccably clean. The kitchen was well-stocked and made cooking fun. We spun ~20 different records on the record player while there; it was great to explore the curated albums they had prepared, and lovely to have them beamed throughout the whole house through the smart speaker Sonos setup. We also enjoyed completing a puzzle together by the warm fire. Our dog loved the heated floors, dog bowls, and massive dog bed. Lazy mornings, delicious coffee, and fresh breakfast were exactly the retreat we needed after a crazy wedding weekend. The primary bedroom was warm and comfortable and made sleep easy. We loved feeling surrounded by both comfortable luxury and nature all around us.

Ann and Cheryl were exceptional hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time in spite of blizzard in April! The house is amazing and the surroundings are beautiful. I would highly recommend. We will be back!

Caribou Cove felt at home the minute we stepped in. Very clean, free of clutter and oh, so homey! Everything is so well thought out and easy. Lisa took good care of us even though she was on her own vacation. We had to use WIFI for zoom meetings (great WIFI!) but once those were done, the laptops closed and we went exploring. There is so much to do! We were honored to visit with THE Betsy Bowen at her art gallery in Grand Marais. Sivertson's Gallery never disappoints, either. There is a pair of trumpeter swans on the lake who were inspiring to watch. I plan to return here with my family next year. I highly recommend Caribou Cove but don't tell everyone - I want to get my next vacation time booked, soon! Enjoy!
