Hosts were great. Totally on top of every request we had. Good stuff. Quiet location walkable to beach break and short drive to 411. Recommend the place

We absolutely loved our stay at the Surfside bungalows! Guanico Abajo is such a cool little place off the beaten path if you really want to stay away from the tourist traps. There’s a surf break right out front of the property and Thomas and Linda have surfboards available for rent. There’s a couple little restaurants within walking distance and a fully stocked grocery store about a 10 minute drive away. We rented a vehicle for our stay, which was very helpful because it is a ways from amenities if you want to cook for yourself. The place had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. A cleaner came a week in which was a nice bonus and there’s a neighbour who will look after any laundry you might have. You can order pizza on Sunday nights from a local bakery, they also come by Saturday mornings with freshly baked croissants and other delicious pastries. There’s also a fruit and vegetable guy that comes by once a week so you can get local produce right at the front door.

wow, what can I say about Joanna's place,such a beautifully located home, in the middle of nature,even more beautiful than the pictures.the sound of birds and howler monkeys are all you can hear . the home is in the middle of a beautiful garden full of , banana trees, mangos, guaba's.we spent 2 months there and enjoyed the ocean view daily. was difficult to say goodbye. Joanna was a super attentive host, very quick to respond to any problems we had ,or any help or advice we needed.she made us feel like the home was ours...and thays how we took care of it, like our own. thank you so much Joanna🙏🏾✨I cannot even express our gratitude. as stated in the listing the home is around 15-20 min from playa venao,and a few min away from a small mini market in canas where you can get the nesecary,and in general is in a area far from traffic and noise, it's a place you can relax and be with nature. little peaceful oasis surounded by beautiful trees and the sound of howler monkeys. We had an amazing night at Agustin’s and Helena’s place. they were super welcoming and helpful in giving surf spot advice, renting boards and arranging an amazing horse riding trip with local friend Jaime. only regret is that we only had one night left and couldn’t stay longer. would 100% recommend to anyone in the area !
