A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. I’ll be back next year! Thank you for everything, Lori!

Sometimes photos just don't do the real thing justice, and this is the case with this property. The property and the views are truly spectacular! The home is huge and has everything you could ever need to live for a week or more. The porch, especially the screened in portion are magnificent and the hot tub was a perfect way to finish up a great day. We had so many plans to adventure out, but found ourselves wanting to stay and enjoy the pristine yard or just sit on the porch and enjoy each others company, we didn't want or need to leave. Having coffee and watching eagles fly by over the river was truly spectacular. Judy is one of the nicest, easiest hosts we have had the pleasure to work with and truly appreciates your patronage. And Hugh's journal on all things Graywood is a lifesaver. Not only would we return again, but we look forward to it.

David and Valle’s house is welcoming, and it was just right for our family get-together. The kitchen is very well set up for cooking, and the counter is both beautiful and a great place for gathering and conversation. There are many lovely touches in the house. We appreciated the yard and gardens, and our dog loved the walking trail. The location is peaceful but just a few minutes from Portland. David communicated well and offered helpful ideas for our visit.

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

The house was beautiful and worked perfectly for our group! Check in was very easy, and the house was spotless when we arrived. My favorite part it was the yard - perfect for a big barbecue with a large group.

I was happy to return to stay at Deb's, this time around in the studio loft. It was very spacious and comfortable and included anything that you might want or need. It was a perfect spot for me to rest while watching ski races at Black Mountain for the weekend. Thanks for being a wonderful host once again, Deb!

Wendy’s place was really nice and the hot tub is very private.. we definitely got our usage out of it… Wendy herself was extremely kind and open minded. She didn’t rush us out come check out, instead, she encouraged us to stay a little longer and enjoy the hot tub before our long journey back home.. she gave us good tips about golden gems only locals know about 🥰 She did have a cool book to share reviews but I didn’t have a pen.. also we left grape soda in the fridge from Canada for the next person to try!! great stay for a relaxing weekend trip. perfect house for chilling but still drivable to Acadia. well stocked on the essentials, linens, and stunning views! host very responsive as well.

Visited Feb '25 Steep stairs {a delightful New England quirk} lead to a comfortable bed, quaint views out the window. Soft cottage core vibes. Eclectic design steeping in a life well lived. Wonderful kitchen, well stocked and easy to cook in. Shower pressure is adequate. Bathroom is clean and filled with an array of books and tchotchkes. Your eyes always have something to wander and examine. It's a maximalists dream. The book shelf in the living room is filled with old books some titles are expected due to surroundings and some are just plain fun. May I recommend a game of I spy Nina is quite fantastic. A spit fire. An attentive host. Hospitable and kind. She gave it a welcoming vibe. Meeting her animals was truthfully a highlight. They are even tempered and kind. Her horse is stunning & social. The donkey a goof. The mule is oh so friendly. Sheep a bit shy but non the less beautiful. Chickens? fluffy feet! The ducks were personable. The goats, joyful. Cat, adorable. Good workin dogs.

We had such a good time! Lots of space, kid friendly, well equipped kitchen, beautiful location by the water. Host communication was great. Hope to stay again sometime!

A beautiful and cozy space with lovely natural light and generous room to spread out. The full kitchen is equipped like a real home, with everything from basic pots and pans to whisks and even nut crackers! A great place for cooking full meals. A nice quiet location, even with its relative proximity to a regularly-traveled road. I'm sensitive to noise and was never bothered by sounds of traffic. Pettengill Farm is only a few minutes up the road, a beautiful place to walk for both dogs and humans and really easy to access multiple times a day. Mandana was always very responsive to communication, and when there was a glitch with Airbnb's fee calculation she was extremely helpful and approachable and took care of it immediately.

Wonderful stay, the place was in a beautiful location, walkable to Wolfe’s Neck Farm where we love to walk. My husband and I were there the first few days, then our adult daughter joined us for two nights. The place is small (described accurately) but the three of us found it very workable. The king bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of outside patio space to lounge and soak up the sun when it was out. This was a work trip for us as we were getting a property in a nearby town ready for sale. We didn’t have time to use the provided kayaks but hope to in a future stay. The hosts very friendly and accommodating, highly recommended this property.

Our stay at Margaret's home was very relaxing and comfortable. Pristine bathroom, kitchen and bedding. The lake view was so much more than we anticipated. It was serene, peaceful, and breathtaking. She went out of her way to answer questions for us about the area, and we left feeling like we just gained a new friend. Jeff and Donna

The perfect house! Beautiful and just like the photos. The location is perfect and just a short walkable distance to the beach. The home was roomy, clean, and had great amenities.

We had an amazing stay at Jason’s place despite a (mostly) rainy Memorial Day weekend! We still found plenty to do including inside the Airbnb, outside at the pond, and locally at all of the great restaurants/breweries/nature around. We also made it out to Acadia two of our days. I will say, the trip took longer than advertised (about an hour to get to the edge of the park), but was a pleasant enough ride. We also had our two dogs staying with us and we all felt right at home! Jason was a very responsive and helpful host as well - you can’t go wrong with this peaceful retreat on the pond!

We had such a great time staying at Emily's awesome retreat. It was our first mini-vacation with our dog and we were looking for some peaceful, wide open space to let her roam free. We absolutely got that with this home and thoroughly enjoyed the town, as well. Emily was super responsive whenever we did have a question and provided us with a great list of places to check out around town. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

Our stay at the beach house was great! You couldn't be closer to the water! So much fun kayaking, floating and swimming in the lake! House is much better than the pictures do it justice. For a 2 bedroom house its very big and spacious, beds were extremely comfortable. The no wifi was a little bit of a downer but there were plenty of board games to play. There is some street noise but not bad at all. Would most definitely recommend if you are looking for waterfront property. The access to the resort pool was a plus too for the kiddos!

A few times while wandering around midcoast Maine in late March, we were asked if this is when we usually came to vacation here. Yes, we are educators from the Southwest, and this was our spring break, so this is when we came to visit, but honestly, it is so peaceful this time of year. Especially Boothbay Harbor, and what we imagined while walking around the very quiet town would be a very different place in July! Our experience at Abby’s space was absolutely wonderful and serene in the spring. The thoughtful touches (thank you for the bottle of Maine wine and jar of blueberry jelly!) made it even more special. Thank you, we hope to be back one day.

Aimee was wonderful to deal with. Her place was absolutely beautiful. we definitely picked the right place. the sunrises were so awesome. Rockland was a gorgeous little town.

Property had amazing views. Inside was beautiful and very clean. Pond and river was nice. Host was quick with any question we had. would recommend.10/10

Home is very expansive with room for multiple families to reside together. Lots of games and activities for all ages. Amazing location within minutes to airport and short drive to downtown

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

We found the home clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room for all of us and we enjoyed the back deck very much. The kitchen was well equipped and although we did not do any cooking, if we had, everything was there for us. We really liked how private the home was. Had the weather been warmer we definitely would have checked out the pool. It is also very close to Thomaston, Rockland and Owls Head. So much to do in this area. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants a quiet retreat in Maine that is close to the coast.
