A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. Don’t think twice on this lakeside retreat! Awesome area with good restaurants and amenities close by. The views and the peace and serenity this home provides is incredible. Was surprised how clean this cabin was especially with being lake front. Couldn’t have been happier booking Peter’s place!!

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

Misty’s cabin was very cute, cozy, and private. We loved soaking in the hot tub and listening to the frogs and crickets at night! The bed is kind of firm and springy but was doable for a short stay. Would definitely recommend grabbing breakfast at the cafe 1055 across the street, we ended up stopping there twice and it was delicious both times. Misty had great communication during our stay as well!

Cozy home away from home. We enjoyed our time and very much appreciated the generator kicking in when the power went out (horrible wind advisory when we were there)

Cozy and quaint cabin in the woods. I was in the area for a work trip and this cabin perfectly accommodated myself and some coworkers. The surrounding area is beautiful and pristine. I love that the living room has large windows and access to a porch that overlooks the area.

Spotless and beautiful cabin over the lake. Hot tub was private and lovely. Needed nothing for our stay and host was super responsive to any questions. Would stay again!

My husband and I had a great 3-night stay at Liz’s cabin. It was an enchanting place to spend a rainy long weekend with all the warmth and coziness that one would want from a cabin in the woods. As others have noted, the location is superbly private and relaxing! We loved sitting by the fire, having our morning coffee on the enclosed porch and walking the pond-side trails right outside the front door. The cabin makes for a great jumping-off point, too, for lots of great things to explore in the midcoast including Odd Ale Wives, Oxbow Brewing and some great eats in Damariscotta. We really enjoyed our time. Liz and her husband were awesome hosts.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful A frame house. Qamer was a great communicator. Close to Freeport and a good place for us to take day trips around Maine. Would recommend!

Great cabin for my family of 4 and our dog for a quick ski trip. I have 2 boys aged 14 and 11 who loved the loft area. We stayed to ski at Saddleback for 2 days, so was in the cabin l for just breakfast and then evening. Is described accurately in listing. Enjoyed our time!

I was disappointed with the TV and the lack of directions on how to use it but besides that I enjoyed the stay and loved the bed.

Colby’s cabin was everything I expected and more. The location was fantastic so private and quiet, even during Memorial Day weekend I didn’t see or hear anyone. The cabin is two miles up a dirt road, nestled into the woods on the side of a hill it’s the perfect weekend hideaway. My camping car (2012 crv, 250k miles) made it up no problem in May even with heavy rain the day before. The cabin has everything you could need just pack food and clothes. This could easily be more rustic but a lot of work was put into the little touches that take this place to the next level like wood stove, well pump, refrigerator and stove, and clean comfortable furniture. Lots to do in the area check out mt blue, tumbledown and Webb lake. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Cabin is a rare find in New England since it was modern, pet friendly and secluded with its own hiking trail connected to a charming farm. The furniture, decor and lighting delivered an amazing glamping experience. But above that, host was sensational with local recommendations and exceeded all expectations to make our stay pleasant.

I had an absolutely magical stay at Camp Moonbud. It was just me but I could have fit the family. For starters, it’s on a beautiful lake. The house is cozy and lovingly decorated, high-end linens, well stocked kitchen, and spotlessly clean. They didn’t miss a thing. I was the last visitor of the season and the chill was setting in, mist coming up off the lake in the mornings, and the most beautiful evening sunsets. I can imagine what a joy it must be to be here in the height of summer. The camp is located near to great hiking (I hiked), good food (I ate), and not far from Midcoast or Portland. The proprietors – Amy and Dana - are unmatched. They are responsive and warm and engaged Mainers; they picked up a grocery order for me because I was getting in late the first night, left treats for my morning breakfast, and even invited me to join their Sunday morning running gang! Huge bonus. Left Readfield with a couple of new friends! Highly recommend this gem.

Spectacular place. We had everything we needed and the location was awesome and very peaceful. The hosts were very friendly and super accommodating. This place is a gem and we definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed here to be near Bates college for graduation weekend. We felt right at home! The cabin was warm and inviting... cozy, clean and safe! It was so secluded, with a gorgeous view over the water. We would love to return when we can simply stay in the cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Beautiful cabin in Sherwood Forest Campsite. Check in and check out were really easy and the cabin itself was very clean. Kitchen is bare bones but had pretty much everything we needed. Even had some firewood for us!

We had a great stay at Leah's cabin. The place was warm and cozy, and we enjoyed the lookout onto the beautiful frozen lake. Leah was very proactive and responsive. A great stay!

Lovely little place. Incredible location, literally 4 minute walk from door to getting in the water at the beach. But also quiet neighborhood. Really nice. There are three cabins in a semi circle with a fire pit in the middle. Each cabin has a grill, chairs, and a picnic table. Great vibes. Cabin itself is rustic, cozy, clean. Bed is very comfy. We will be staying here again. Fell in love with the area and the cabin. Highly recommend.

I had a great stay at Jon's cabin in Maine. The location was beautiful and the porch room windows provided a wonderful view of the lake. Thank you Jon!

David is an incredibly helpful and gracious host. He is clear in communicating how to find the camp, provided us help to make pizza dough (bringing us equipment!), had great cookbooks, had drink making equipment, and when my husband lost his hearing aids in the water, spent 30 mins with his snorkel looking for them. You can't ask for nicer host. The camp itself is well equipped and very comfortable. Did I mention it has A/C and a dishwasher? Conveniences not normally found when you're so close to the water. The well water was great and the beds comfortable.

Michael’s place is a sanctuary filled with local art and whimsical artifacts. Very pleasing space. Lots of outdoor seating areas possible and a stunning view across the path directly to the water. We had coffee on the rocks with the sun sparkling on the waves. Morning birdsong in the quiet of a peaceful setting away from all traffic. There are beautiful area beaches, and Portland is full of great food and fun including amazing farmers markets. We loved it!!!
