Beach house holiday rentals in Balboa Island

My family and I stayed here for a week and it was one of the most enjoyable trips we’ve had. The house is just so cute! The hosts are incredibly responsive and accommodating. The neighbourhood is very safe and with friendly neighbours. Would definitely stay here again!

This Airbnb was by far the best one I have stayed in yet! It was the perfect location and an easy walk to shops, dining and of course the beach!!! The view was beautiful. The house itself was perfect for my family. It was stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the well stocked garage with bikes, beach chair, boogie boards and more! Matina was very kind and easy to communicate with and responded quickly to messages I left with her. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone and I hope to stay here again the next time I am in Newport!

The cottage was so cute and spacious for us. We are literally 2 min away from the sand. Beds were comfortable. The only thing that stood out were how thin the blinds were in the upstairs bedroom. At night. You can see the outside lights and see the lights on every car that passes by as well. On our first night the neighbors to the left of us were loud. And on our last night the neighbors that arrived to the right of were super loud . We had to close our front door at some point. Other than that. We enjoyed the space.

Thank you Savannah for a lovely stay. We were in the area for a funeral so it was nice to walk around Balboa Island & Peninsula in our free time, including an hour or two on the beach. Your place was clean, efficient, and comfortable. You had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for your timely communications, you made it easy for us to be there.

Annette’s place couldn’t have been more perfect for what we were looking for. My husband and I wanted a getaway that was relaxing, but in an area where there were restaurants, bars and close to the ocean, and this was it! The house was very comfortable and stocked with everything you can think of, including the hot tub in the back yard. We loved the special touch of Annette meeting us to walk through everything in the house.

Great place to stay for our Beach/Disney vacation. Just a block from the beach and 25 minutes to the parks. And everyone at HappiTravels was helpful— answered our questions and were there when we called.

This place was perfect! Very easy to get to main street shops. Beautiful view. Loved the 2 large couches so everyone cound sit in a large circle to talk with each other. Host was very fast answering any questions.

Can’t beat the views from unit #4, things were perfect and comfortable. Will definitely think about booking again when I am visiting family in Laguna.

We had a wonderful visit at Mai's place. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare our meals and we appreciated the amenities stocked (salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, etc). Rooms were as described and we found it very spacious for a family of 6 adults and 3 young children. Our family really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the Koi pond sitting area. The pool was very clean and we all enjoyed our time there, especially the kids. We made use of the BBQ and had no problems getting it started. Our only suggestion would be to update the instructions for the pool as it appears the host controls this via wifi and that is not stated in the instructions for use. Overall, we loved our stay and would not hesitate to visit again! Thank you to Mike & Mai for promptly responding to any of inquiries during the stay.

Enjoyed our stay at The Bright House! Loved how quiet and peaceful the neighborhood was, and how close it is to the beach and great shopping and restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay at Zev & Melissa Forrest’s place in Long Beach. The house was perfect for our group of three couples—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was ideal, within walking distance to the beach and the Long Beach Grand Prix, which was a highlight of our trip. The kitchen was beautiful, and the living space was perfect for relaxing after a day out. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Had a wonderful stay at DJ and Brandee’s home last weekend while my mom and I were in town for the Surf City Half Marathon! The house is gorgeous and comfortable with fantastic amenities - everything was as described. It’s a short walk to downtown and was perfect location for us to get to the starting line. The pool and their big comfy couch were perfect for our post-race recovery. The kitchen is awesome; I loved cooking in it. DJ and Brandee were fantastic hosts — always responsive and kind. Really appreciated their hospitality and highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Thank you!!!

Amazing location with the best floral surronded walk to the beach. Kids and adults loved hanging out here for our vacation.

We stayed here for our spring break with my 6 kids. Ages 23-5. We are not partiers just a family get away to relax and cook together. We booked this place based on the pool and it was worth it for us. The previous reviews were alarming about quiet hrs and it being strict but we had no problem and stayed in the pool till 945 at night. I did tell me younger 3 kids to be quiet at night to be respectful and they were for the most part but definitely got loud with their voice a few times. Great house no complaints beds were very comfy!

Sue’s place was perfect for my large family and I!!! We truly enjoyed being there and felt at home. The kitchen was very well equipped so we can make great meals! The area was phenomenal! If we ever came back, we’d definitely book here again!

never stayed on the bay side &I ended up loving it. beautiful &modern + huge front patio AND a back patio, perfect for my husky. barely left &already booked another visit in a couple weeks

We celebrated our son's birthday at this location and it was a blast. So close to all the restaurants and bars and a five minute walk to the sand! We love Newport Beach and you cannot beat this location. We will hopefully visit again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location, just a few feet from the beach, which made it super convenient for daily walks and beach time. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a day at the beach, which was a huge plus. Sean was a great host, very responsive and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming cottage in a great location. The space is very welcoming with a lot of natural light. The AC works great and each room has a ceiling fan. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was spotless. Jennifer was very nice and responsive. Check out instructions were clear and simple. We would definitely stay again :)

It is lovely house that perfectly fit all 9 of our family members. We had plenty of room to cook, eat, and hang out. It is a great location across from yummy and very catering Mexican restaurant and just up the street is the ferry to take across the water to the fun zone. It is also in walking distance to Balboa’s Main Street with restaurants and shops. We had so much fun, that we want to go again!!

This is our second visit and we love being right on the beach. It’s absolutely lovely. Plenty of people watching. Short walk to restaurants. Close to everything. It’s great and she is very responsive. Usually within minutes she responds. Thank you

It was a lovely location and very nice place. My husband commented on how large it was. It had everything we needed and lots of room. We brought our toys that easily stored in the garage, but there was also toys in there so not sure we needed to bring it all. The view out the front window was amazing and I loved the neighborhood in the early morning - quiet, peaceful with the kids all riding their bikes to school! If you are a techy, the WIFI was not strong - had to go to back patio for good reception. The only negative was the neighbors who came in Friday night - they did not honor the quiet hours of 11:00pm to 8:00am. We called the property manager the next morning who stated they would let them know, but it happened again the next night and we had to go over and ask them to quiet down. They did quiet down immediately the second night. We were there with our grandchildren who are four and 5 weeks old so the late night volume was something we were hoping to avoid.
