Waterfront holiday rentals in Balboa Island

Great overall. Clean, comfortable, with plenty of towels. This unit is right on the water, with a patio on the first level where you can lounge and watch seabirds and various people walk by. The only couple of notes to be aware of are one, the main living area has no window treatments for privacy, so don't walk around unclothed... unless you are into that kind of thing. Second, there is no water filtration, so you'll need to purchase your own drinking water. Also, cheap toilet paper that's rough on the rear end. Yes, I'm being nitpicky.

We had a wonderful time and would definitely book this house again! We loved it so much we wanted to book another day but someone else already had it booked. We loved the roof hot tub, the sand and beach being right on the house!!!

Will was a very responsive host and had great recommendations for the area. Just be aware that since this is an attached space to the next-door neighbors, the sound from upstairs is a bit prominent like footsteps/loud sound. Couple of knick knacks like the shower door and fridge door were to be fixed, but that was acknowledged to be repaired. Otherwise, I would love to stay here again.

David was an amazing host and very attentive to detail. His place was beautiful and very clean. He made sure we had everything we needed and was very communicative. The apartment is right next to the beach and in a quiet Neighborhood. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon.

The place was exactly as described and we felt incredibly comfortable. They had a cute set up and the pool was clean. The host were lovely and efficient. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back.

This was our second time staying in Jonathan's place and might not be the last (if he'll have us.) Great location. Wonderful neighborhood. Place was clean and perfect for what we needed. Can't recommend it enough!

I loved staying at Ollie's place more than I can express. It is a breath of fresh air, so beautiful, and so lovely. The breakfast was such a fantastic and delicious added touch and the pictures--as beautiful as they are--don't do it justice. The beach is also very sparsely occupied so you can really have a lot of room to yourself out there. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

The house was really easy to find. It was spotless and very comfortable. We loved the beach with the waves right next to it. We also loved the lagoon right down the street. Kyle was very responsive when I had questions which makes the experience even better. We will definitely be back.

A great location right on a fantastic beach, walking distance from local bars, restaurants, coffee shop (with fantastic baked goods), and breweries. There is a great bike path that runs along the beach. We vacationed with our children and their young families. The house had everything we needed along with all kinds of toys and games and a great sand play area off the deck, which is part of the beach.

Jennifer’s beachfront home was lovely! It was clean, spacious, comfortable and right on the beach. It was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my niece’s first birthday. It was so peaceful, we could hear the waves from the couch. Stunning views.

Location, location, location!! We loved our stay at this airbnb in Newport Beach. Being right on the sand just a few blocks from the pier and so many restaurants and shops was such fun. I worried about privacy with so many people walking, jogging, biking etc right past our front sliding doors - but I realized the glass is mirrored, so during the day no one can see in. At night there are full shades - so privacy was not a problem. The apartment looked just like the photos. It was very clean and had everything we needed despite how small it was. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Great to have garage parking - but beware - it's a small spot. I would definitely stay here again.

Staying at this spot is extremely peaceful. There is little sound so you can always hear the ocean. It's really nice being directly on the beach. Johnny was an extremely communicative and gracious host. I appreciate his help on every question which came up and helping us out troubleshoot issues during out stay. The unit itself looks like it does in the pictures. It's not a new unit and some of the windows need help opening/closing but for a beach bungalow style getaway with maximum silence, it's a good spot!

This is in a great location. The home has whatever one may need including an iron, steamer, dishwasher, grill, washing machine and dryer. Easy to walk anywhere in town. Nice front patio to relax on.

Definitely would stay again! Very clean and well appointed. I’ve rented a lot of places on the peninsula when visiting my mom at her assisted living. This was the most elegant and comfortable. The only issues I can think of were the absence of a how-to manual (we never could figure out how to use the overhead fans or perhaps they were broken) and the sound quality of the living room tv speaker is very tinny.

Words cannot describe how great Julie‘s home is. On multiple occasions an individual (and their cute dog) stopped to chat and share their memorable experiences residing, renting or simply enjoying this same location. Many people also shared how wonderful Julie and her husband are. The dog parade along the boardwalk is worth it alone. It is deceivingly large. The beds, linens, towels, and overall interior was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Julie‘s property. We would stay again and highly recommend anyone else to do the same.

This is the perfect little place right next to New Port Pier. It was clean and spacious. It was fun to be next to the pier with all the restaurants and shops. The beach is just steps away and they have a cute farmers market on Sundays. It was perfect.

This condo was very beautiful and the views from the living room and dining room were amazing. Our only thing is we didn't realize how steep the stairs were, and my mother couldn't climb them, so she had to stay somewhere else. Then we checked out. So, we paid for something we couldn't enjoy and that was sad. Not even a small portion of a refund was offered to us.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely studio apartment conveniently located just a short walk from the water. In fact, everything was within walking distance! In the future, whenever we stay in Long Beach, we will be checking for availability here first. The apartment was spotless and well maintained. The bed was super comfy, too! I drank my morning coffee on the balcony and just enjoyed the view. The building felt very secure. The clearly detailed instructions Nico provided made the check-in process stress free. And, when we did have any questions, Nico was very attentive and always responded within minutes. We had no issues with the parking garage and were confident our vehicle was in a safe location. Ultimately, this is one of the best places we’ve stayed under the Airbnb umbrella.

We picked this Airbnb for the convenience of being near the beach and other amenities. It was a perfect place for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay on Balboa Island. My family has rented many homes on the island. This rental was one of the best! Clean, comfortable, great view and quiet! Just what we were looking for!
