Farmstay holiday rentals in Avery County

We had a great stay at the Plumtree Cabin, it was nice to journey through the mountains and find ourselves in a private Cabin next to a farm. We were also welcomed by a family of 7 deer each night of our stay. Very affordable and comfortable cabin. Will definitely keep in mind for future travels.

This by far the best place we have stayed in the last few years. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated. Had everything we needed. Morning came with a symphony of birds and sounds from the cows in the neighboring farm. Nighttime brought a chorus of tree frogs. The beds were comfortable the kitchen stocked and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Close to fishing and hiking. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Our stay in Sugar Grove was absolutely perfect for our son’s App State graduation; it was close enough to campus but also a world away. The house was cozy, but had plenty of room for everyone, and the surroundings were peaceful. We availed ourselves of the well-appointed kitchen, the numerous books in the house, and the lovely fire pit. Everyone had a great time and Jackie was very helpful with any questions. My mother-in-law even requested that we stay there again some day. Thank you!

I had an amazing stay at this cozy Airbnb—truly a serene and peaceful spot to get away and unplug from the hustle and bustle. The location is fantastic, especially if you love hiking, as there are great trails just a short drive away. Waking up to the beautiful views was such a treat, and the cozy spaces inside made it easy to relax and unwind after a day outdoors. The kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for preparing meals, which added to the comfort of the stay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to recharge in nature without sacrificing convenience!

Even though it was a short stay for us, I can’t say enough positive things about our experience. Simon’s hospitality was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. This was our second stay at Yeehaw cabin, something we rarely do as we like to visit as many places as possible. The cabin is well appointed and clean. We used the hot tub and the fire pit, visited Boone, Blowing Rock and had a great meal at the nearby Gamekeeper restaurant. Still, my favorite thing to do there is just relax on the deck and enjoy the view.

Morning View Escape was awesome. Tammy's house overlooks a big open field which leads to the river. It's very peaceful and beautiful! It was perfect for our young children to run and play. Playing in the river was a big hit, too! We'll be back :)

This is our second stay here - and we’d return again. Love this cozy space, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with a wonderful back deck overlooking the trees. And so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the towns of Blowing Rock and Boone. We prefer soft ambient lighting but believe the kitchen could benefit from additional lighting, especially for after dark - perhaps under the cabinetry.

We enjoyed the stay, the home was clean and it had all the amenities. If you go there in winter time , the howling wind at night could wake you up. Personally would like a tea pot for boiling some water . Overall the home was very inviting, clean and peaceful

We booked a six day stay and could have stayed another week. Nikki and Scott's cabin is warm and inviting. The decor is so cool and there are little treasures and surprises in and out. The drive to the top of the hill takes a little getting used to but if you want mountain views, this is the place for them. There is nearby Roan Mountain along with Grandfather Mountain, which is a must-visit. There is a lot to do here-visiting Ashville, nice restaurants in Banner Elk where Grandfather Mountain is located. The Campbell sanctuary farm is a form of entertainment in and of itself. We got to pet and groom horses, saw 19 ducklings that hatched from one elderly duck who apparently didn't get the memo that she was old, and visited the other myriad animals of the farm-ponies, chickens, a friendly goose, cats, dogs, and more. Just sitting on the porch overlooking the farm was so peaceful and restful. I highly recommend this beautiful sanctuary for a getaway. Nikki and Scott are great hosts!

Super clean, great location, very peaceful! Such a beautiful place to stay if you are looking to get away from. Situated great for hiking and exploring local towns. Lance was very friendly, tagged along everywhere with us and was very interested in the dogs!

If you are looking to disconnect it is hard to beat this place. The whole atmosphere is peaceful and the area is quiet and serene. It is also close enough to some small towns to do hiking, shopping, eating out etc. Hopefully we get the chance to go back for another relaxing weekend.

Absolutely wonderful little place! Great stay for a couple and their pup! Bedroom: comfortable king size bed! Very roomy for a 1b1b apartment! Bathroom: the walk-in shower has beautiful green tile and bench! It is not really pictured in listing but it’s absolutely adorable! Living room: cute and comfy couch!! Kitchen: has everything you need for basic cooking! Plus a very nice grill outside! Patio: has a private hot tub and great seating for morning coffee with a view! Overall, the place was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted/needed. It was spotless when we arrived and we had no issues checking in. Highly recommended booking! Jen was also very responsive and there to help if needed. Till next time, Boone!

Lovely stay, area as beautiful and will certainly be there again!

This cabin was beautiful and just the right amount of secluded. We highly enjoyed the property with its waterfall hike and the farm animals. The location was close enough to dining and activities but secluded enough that we felt very peaceful and calm during our stay. We would love to come back!

My husband and I stayed at Lani's cozy A-frame cabin for our anniversary vacation, and we both cannot express enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. The setting is so peaceful, which was exactly what we were looking for. Lani was incredible from start to finish. She was so friendly and helpful, not to mention the farm animals are adorable! If you are looking for an easily accessible, private getaway with lovely accommodations, then honey stop the car! We will be back for sure.

My stay here was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and well taken care of. The hosts went above and beyond, fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, plush robes, great coffee… every detail was thoughtfully done. The place itself was perfect: private and peaceful with stunning views, yet still super close to everything I wanted to do. Whether I was out exploring or just relaxing in the space, it felt like a true getaway. Can’t recommend this spot, or these hosts, enough. I’ll definitely be back!

If you are looking for a quiet, well-equipped location where there is room for everyone, you’ve found your place. While a little quirky, the layout has all sorts of nooks & crannies for you to enjoy… multiple porches, multiple fireplaces, multiple seating arrangements. The views are just beautiful & the house is cozy & well-equipped. We were a family group of all adults in for graduation at App State. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the house more. Ann was a great communicator & we would definitely purely stay here again. There are a lot of steps involved to enjoy everything but also many options on the main floor of the house if you have mobility issues (we had older grandparents in our party and no young children). Ann’s notes about local shops & restaurants were detailed & helpful. Great stay!

10/10 Beautiful, clean, private home in Valle Crusis. Our favorite part was the idyllic views from the back porch! Hosts were extremely communicative. Be aware you have to take your trash to the local recycling center (it's close to the property).

Yvonne’s farmhouse is absolutely amazing! Exactly as described and was surrounded by beauty! It took me back in time when I grew up in Boone. Beds were very comfortable, couches and chairs were amazing, as well! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed! The farm fresh eggs, juice and milk (along with all the goodies on the bar) was such a sweet and thoughtful touch to this already amazing home! We had such a wonderful time here! Thank you so much for being an absolute amazing host!! 10 plus stars! ⭐️✨ ✨ 💜🤍

This cabin was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a long weekend trip. Rina was very responsive to questions and was flexible with check-in time as we were traveling across the state. The amenities were great and we made use of the outdoor grill, dining space as well as the fire pit. Thanks for a wonderful experience in our first Air B&B!

Very cozy farmhouse feel. We loved walking around the property in the mornings & enjoying the mountain air. Also really appreciated the amount of kitchenware that was available as we are a family that likes to stay in and cook on vacation. Would definitely stay again!

This was the best AirBnB experience I’ve had! The cabin is beautiful and well appointed; almost anything you might need was there. There were plenty of linens, cooking basics, dishes, and toiletries. The property is well maintained and gorgeous; it’s perfect for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were responsive and sweet before, during, and after. Could not recommend this stay enough!

We had an unexpected family emergency come up and had to cancel the trip only to find out, we actual would be able to make it. Kelly was great about the cancelation and even wonderful to allow us to book again. I don’t know where we’d end up if she wasn’t so gracious and understanding! The place is exactly the peace and serenity we needed. Everything was extremely clean, great instructions, and felt like a home away from home. The drive to Boone was so pretty it didn’t seem like we drove 20min! Thank you both again so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!
