Beach house holiday rentals in Australia

We love staying at the Boathouse! Janene and Cameron are the most amazing hosts! As soon as we enter we feel relaxed! Ocean swims all day, beautiful beach, the most amazing sunsets! And the bed, aaah! Best sleep! The kitchen is well equipped for home cooked meals! While you feel like you have stepped completely out of the rat race, major stores are only a short drive away at Ocean Shores! 20 min drive approx to Bangalow and nearby Byron Bay. Brunswick Heads is only a 5 minute drive for some great restaurants, cafes, fishing! We’ve lost count of how many stays we’ve had at this special haven!

Such a cosy cottage! The furniture, fittings and decor have all been chosen with such a lot of care and love. We really appreciated the quality of the kitchen gear which made cooking an absolute joy. Its a lovely base from which to explore all the scenic and culinary delights of the area. The host was very helpful and friendly, and has clearly thought of everything that a guest could possibly need. I would definitely stay here again.

Christine and Brad's place was as described and very true to the pictures. It has a superb position waterfront looking North with 180 degree views of the Whitsunday Islands and the Mackay Northern Beaches coastline as well as of superb sunsets. Communication was excellent with all queries answered almost instantly. It was also very simple to access the property with clear instructions. Everything we could need was provided and the facilities were quite luxurious. This house suited us admirably for a visit to family in Mackay as we rented a car which we recommend. Its location is less than half an hour from the airport. Christine and Brad do a great job as hosts both in the presentation of this accommodation and making us feel welcome.

Perfection. Attention to detail- even in the kitchen…we had all the dishes and utensils necessary to cook like a chef at the house! There are even pantry items there- so check on that before running to the grocery store in town because we bought doubles in some things. I’m sure the selections in the pantry will vary. In addition, there may be garden produce ready for the picking!! Make sure and check with the host first- that will be seasonal, I’m sure. Beds are comfortable, showers have hot water, tub with jets is helpful after a day of sight-seeing. As owner notes, it isn’t hot, just warm…but it was still a good experience. Decks overlook bay/ocean- you get to witness the changing colors of the Hazards throughout the day standing over the bay. And if you are wondering- we saw amazing Aurora lights out over the water! Windows everywhere! Just incredible’views- there are no words. And you boy minutes from Swansea. Host has a book with restaurant suggestions. Grocery.❤️

we had a lovely weekend at SaltHouse. our little pooch enjoyed the fully enclosed yard, and the gas fire place worked a treat on the cold nights.

Aerie retreat is a perfect little piece of nature- stunning views, private, peaceful and romantic. The house is cosy and well stocked to cook meals. The hot tub and deck are gorgeous, even in the rain. We saw seals, in the channel, and wallabies and possums on the property. The stairs to the water are steep but worth exploring. The tinderbox forest walk is fantastic and nearby Blackmans Bay is also charming. Would return in a heartbeat.

this is the second time we have stayed here and I honestly have nothing to complain about. everything was perfect , again. We had everything we needed and more. Don't hesitate to experience this homely little surf shack for yourself, in the best part of Tassy.

Had a wonderful stay at Carmen’s residence in Cairns in early June. The residence is located about 25 minutes the airport by car as well as the center of town and the marina where you can catch boats for excursions. So, you’ll need to drive or rent a taxi/Uber. The house is located Inside a gated community estate and there’s a code that you’ll need to give any arriving taxis. The treehouse itself was absolutely gorgeous, with three floors, multiple rooms, a pool, and surrounded by lush greenery. It felt like we were in a forest! If you’re adventurous, you can even take a private path to the beach and nearby cafes—but be warned, it can be treacherous! Overall, this was a great find. And our hosts were proactive with messages and suggestions that were quite helpful. The only regret we have is that we didn’t get to spend MORE time here!

This property is the best holiday house I have ever been into in Australia. Top notched, meticulous design, warm and high end house.

Sadly only a quick one night stay but we loved every minute. Jacqueline has thought of everything and kitchen is well stocked to cook a great meal. We were happy sitting outside to eat & relax and enjoyed the butterflies & birdlife. Looking forward to a return visit, just needs to be longer. Thanks Jacqueline

We spent 7 beautiful place in Kim’s home. We were so close to town and activities down at the marina. The home was spotless and beautiful. It felt like home. So much space for everyone and activities for all ages. The pool was magical over looking the marina and the water. Kim accommodated for us with our baby so well providing services to ensure our little one was looked after. We had an amazing time and will be back for sure!!!

Fabulous getaway spot! Photos do not do this beautiful property justice. Spacious, amazing views and quiet location. Best place to relax and unwind. Beach was beautiful and so close to Arlie Beach to grab supplies. Louise was so prompt and helpful with all communication. Can’t wait to visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at Tim and Caitlin’s. The deck area is huge, with the view looking out to the fields just magical in the afternoon. Plenty of room inside, with a big table and couches and a kitchen with all necessary cooking equipment. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks so much for hosting us.

Stunning home for a weekend getaway with friends! The location and views are breathtaking - we even spotted whales breaching from the patio! The build of the house is 🤌🏼; everything is so well thought out and beautifully presented with sturdy furniture and ample storage. Kitchen amenities were great, the indoor and outdoor fireplaces were put to good use as was the hot tub overlooking the ocean. We were well looked after by the host whose communication was reliable and friendly and he even accommodated some extra needs for us. Would 100% recommend to friends and family!

Wonderful accommodation, the room facilities are very new and convenient, the view is beautiful, the lawn and beach rest area gave the children a lot of space to play, the Milky Way at night, many kangaroos and bunnies around the evening, adding a lot of fun to this accommodation.Overall, it's really great, and I believe I'll come back to this beautiful holiday spot in the future.

An absolutely stunning property, a view that is breathtaking every minute for sunrise, sunset, when all the local wildlife comes to visit and everything in between, an incredibly presented home with all the comforts you need and then some ! We had a wonderful weekend away in Peters beautiful apartment. Beautiful places to watch a sunrise, walking distance from local cafes and shops. We would love to come back some day!

I booked Anna’s beautiful home as a gift for some family members to spend a weekend away at. Anna was so incredibly responsive and helpful, and was happy to liaise with me even though I would not physically be there (so I could pass all the information on to my family members). One of the best places I've stayed at - very special location. Only issue we had was a contankerous TV remote which froze and required the unit be reset continuously - otherwise a perfect property.
