Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Atami

Tucked into a fold of the hillside above Old Itoh, floats Ukiyoe House. With a hawk's eye view of the sea from Hatsushima on the left to Teishi rock on the right, it's a step back into retro Japan. The proprietor, Jiro, greets you at the entrance, attends to the evening bedding and ensures that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Stretch your legs as far as the crooked lanes of the old town past the shops of a once must-visit seaside village of fishermen and spas. Not to mention historical sites and a quiet black sand beach. This is definitely best kind of Air B&B in Japan !!

We only stayed there for two nights. If I have the opportunity to stay here again, I will do so. Great place to spend more time and do some day-trips and hiking in the area!

Mayumi was a great host that made us feel right at home! Her communication helped us a lot when we were lost or confused about anything regarding the amenities in the house. Mayumi’s great restaurant suggestions in the area helped us settle in easily and felt welcomed after a long day of travel!

Absolutely amazing place to get away. Very quiet, amazing views and the house had all the amenities you could need. Will definitely be back next year.

Fantastic stay. Only wish that I could have stayed longer. I will definitely be returning here for a longer stay next time. So peaceful and full of nature. Great host too. I’ll see you again next time :)

Beautiful home

We were slightly late on checking out, and the cleaning lady was super nice! Overall, fantastic experience. I would say one of the best views of Mt Fuji ever!

I really recommend it to everyone who comes to Omuroyama to stay at Grandpa's homestay!Grandpa is really very warm and kind, and the B&B is really beautiful. It was just right for four of us. There is a small room that is separate. If there is a man or a couple, you can sleep inside, and the B&B is very close to the attractions, so you don't have to go to Omuroyama in line! ⚠️: We missed the last bus because of the spark conference, and finally arrived at Yidong Station at 23:30, Grandpa also drove a far car to pick us up!I saw my grandfather holding my name sign at the station, and I was especially embarrassed.Finally, my grandfather helped us with the check in was already early in the morning and also recommended us the next day's itinerary. The next morning, Grandpa picked us up and drove us to Omuroyama, and later, because it was raining, Grandpa personally drove us to the Kinosaki Coast!Really special thanks to grandpa, otherwise it was really inconvenient, after all, we dragged three suitcases. All in all, if you want to stay in a warm, human-like homestay, and a convenient homestay, we really recommend you to stay at this house!!!!The Chinese are not deceiving the Chinese🥹

Great location. Tucked away from the busy areas. But right next to the train station, convenience stores, and restaurants. Good find.

The location of the house is excellent, close to the tram station, and there is the sound of the tram passing by at night, but it is not noisy. Unlike what was said in the historical review, I found that walking to the right on the main road next to the house, the wind festival bus stop, for about five minutes, after passing an overpass, I found a lawson across the road, where I can buy things.

We loved staying at Ben's place! It was quite accessible from the popular spots of Ito and Atami, and it was well furnished and comfortable. The hosts were also very welcoming, picking us up at the station and offering us local recommendations. Would recommend for anyone visiting!

I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the Kawaguchiko area. The place was all great and the location wonderful too. The host was absolutely lovely and picked us up from the station as well as letting us ride bikes around the area. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the opportunity arises!

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a quiet place. Minutes away from the ocean, and great restaurants, this place was also very clean and spacious. The host was also very responsive and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sites to visit. I would definitely recommend

It was a very nice stay. First of all, the boss carefully prepared the welcome card, and it can be seen that the two of them are committed to running the two hotels. The owner is Chinese, and he knows our needs very well, has prepared the usual temperature water, and I recommend a good seafood self-help. The room's facilities are new and clean, and the boss's enthusiasm makes people feel at home.Next time in the autumn, I hope I can still stay in such a good room.

We had a great time here. The apartment is small but has extra table and chair, so we lived comfortably here for 2 weeks. The free bicycles were game changing and allowed us to enjoy the city and the surroundings freely, we really loved to explore Numazu by bike. If we go back to Numazu, we would love to stay here again.

Very good place to stay! The beach is just a short 5 minute walk which we very much enjoyed. The view from the balcony is great. Not a whole lot of places to eat nearby but there is a full kitchen to cook with. We also stayed during typhoon and host was very responsive and let us stay an extra day as the trains were suspended.

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

My stay was very nice and cozy though the condo building felt quiet. Rei has great taste in design and furnishing to make her guests feel at home. Recommend to drive here so that you could explore around freely.

Stayed for three days and it was tiring to climb. Overall was good!
