The owner was fantastic and very responsive, even took us to the local grocery store. The house is on the side of the hill in an incredibly quiet and serene location with complete privacy. The outdoor hot bath was incredible, too, and a great way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone staying in Atami.

It was a very good place to have a BBQ while looking at Mt. Fuji on the veranda.✨ The interior was also clean, and I enjoyed the extraordinary hammocks, a spacious living room, and a sofa on the veranda. I would like to stay there again.🎵

The beach is right there, you can see the sea even if you are sitting in the dining room, the stars are beautiful, the location was great!It was a family trip for three generations, but I would like to come back again. There is no microwave, so I thought that if you have small children, you need to be creative with your belongings.

The sauna, water bath, and natural hot spring were all pleasant to use!The description of the facility was also easy to understand, and we had a comfortable stay.

It was a very comfortable trip. The interior is also beautiful, and you can sleep in the tent. Children are very busy.The small house and slide in the garden were also playing happily. The location was also great because it was a convenience store and a supermarket around! The BBQ set was also easy to use.

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

Michael has a wonderful house, it is very beautiful and you can find a lot of cute details in the house. Michael is also a great host, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

My family and I stayed here for three days and two nights, and we definitely had amazing experiences here. We reached quite late around 7pm but Kyoko-san patiently waited for us, greeted us and gave nice tour around the house. Even the home owner and the other co-hosts were very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. For the next two mornings, we were blessed; greeted by the lovely Mount Fuji and the view from the house was spectacular ❤️ We came here during the Eid month, so we even had family Eid photos here! Such memorable experiences, and we would definitely recommend this place to others :)

Yuji was really responsive and easy to communicate during our stay. It was an old house but I think the owner already tried his best to maintain and clean it (it’s just too old and had some stain and rust on places). There were trees and bushes surrounded the house - beautiful but yes a lot of bugs, and luckily not much got inside. There was not much to do nearby but would be good stopby to rest for a night. Considering the price it’s totally worth it. I’ll still give it 5 stars in overall.

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. Love this beautiful house. We are lucky to have two beautiful day to see the full Fuji mountain from the back yard. The house is better than I expected. It’s spacious and has everything u need well prepared. of course most important is the huge backyard with the view of the Fuji mountain. So rare and beautiful. It’s a perfect getaway from the city life. I also really enjoyed the bathtub. Water power is great.

We spent a wonderful time! Rolf’s house is spacious, luminous and well equipped, with a great terrace and beautiful views of the sea. Rolf is a very friendly, flexible and reactive host. He provided plenty of information prior to our arrival and was easy to join during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Mitsuko’s house, and the view on the sea was amazing! The house is comfortable to stay for longer periods, with more than enough cooking utensils, cutlery and plates and cups for cooking. Definitely visit the local hotspring, and Manyo park in Yugawara for a relaxed day out. There are also some local busses for commuting to the nearest supermarkets.

Rumi was a fantastic host - for myself and my friends who barely speak any Japanese she provided great instructions for everything and even called us a taxi to get back to the station for checkout. The area and house is ideal, walking distance from everything, and we had the loveliest time!

It is the best house we stayed in Japan, the surroundings are very quiet, the house is spotlessly clean, there are marks that have been meticulously maintained, the landlord and his wife are very warm and kind, pick us up from the station, the check-out will send us to the station, we dropped a tripod, the host and his wife drove us to Kawaguchiko Station by car, we are ready to buy a gift, the host and his wife have sent us a trip stand, so we are very sorry that we did not send a crown gift.

Absolutely amazing place to get away. Very quiet, amazing views and the house had all the amenities you could need. Will definitely be back next year.

Cannot express how highly I recommend this place & Mizuno as a host. Beautiful beautiful scenery, stunning traditional home, and the location is great. We lost a bag and Mizuno was on top of it and helped us get it back within 2 hours. We look forward to being able to stay with Mizuno soon!

A family of three came to the seaside town of Izu Peninsula, the full Japanese style house let us have a real experience of Japanese life, the space of the house is very large, it is completely like a home in Japanese drama or cartoon, the bathroom goes straight to the hot spring, the hot spring has become very convenient, the kitchen pots and pans some lids are not specially matched, but there are many nice coffee cups, wine glasses, tableware are very complete, all in size.The tatami mat is thick enough to lie on and not feel hard at all, the surroundings are especially quiet, and the quality of sleep is high.The nearest supermarket is almost fifteen minutes by bike past, but the price is very reasonable and the quality is great.The sea is clear, you can see the fish, you love life here, it's perfect if you have a car.

It was still a good stay, we came to see the fireworks conference, walk to the fireworks conference about 20min, the walk to the station is also about 20min, there are two rooms where you can see the sea A slightly inconvenient place is that the nearby convenience store is far away, if you buy water at night, you need to go to the station's whole family.Everywhere else is good
