Mama-San and Papa-San are some of the best people I’ve met. They are very kind and very personable. I felt like I was at home or at my grandparents house. They gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area. They treated us like family. I would go back in a heartbeat. They also have great food

I definetely recommend this place for everyone who plans to visit Fuji! It takes 17 minutes from kawaguchiko station by walk. K's house super clean, the receptionist are very friendly and helpful. The lounge is also cozy and very clean! You can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji while sitting in the lounge too🫶🏻

Lovely hostel in a great spot less than a minutes walk away from a stunning view of Mount Fuji, breakfast was recommended at a cafe at check in for a great price and was lovely food in the morning. Very clean shared spaces and a lovely place to spend a night near the mountain! Would highly recommend

Thanks for your hospitality!I used it for my graduation trip with college sync, but I relaxed without worrying about other guests! There is also a BBQ on the nice kitchen terrace, and I am very satisfied! The space like Europe is also very cute and we would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing time visiting Shimoda. We are from Southwestern Virginia and this was our first time in Japan. Our host helped us feel welcome and was patient with all of our questions. The room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Our host suggested a resturant that was within walking distance. It had amazing food and the people were so kind. The spot is also very close to a beautiful beach.

Tohru is a great host. If you wanna get a real Japanese Airbnb experience this place is for you.

I really like this place! Amazing location, kind staff, cheap bicycle rentals, super clean and very aesthetic vibe! My only complaint is that if there was AC i couldn’t find it and the place is a little expensive. I think it’s expensive cause of its convenient location literally on Honcho street where the famous pictures with Fuji-San are taken, so i understand. Regardless this is a very very nice place!!

What a great time spent in this place. Between the room that allows you to wake up facing Mount Fuji and the outdoor osen, the disconnection is total.

Beautiful onsen, clean with great views. Transportation to the important bus stops / stations as well as to dinner in town.

The room is the same as the pictures, very clean, the display is very thoughtful, I feel that the weekly rent will be more comfortable, Izu is very suitable for holidays. It's a ten-minute walk from Fuhu Station, pick-up and drop-off services are provided, and the response is very timely. It's also a ten-minute walk to the bus stop (uphill road) to go to Dashi Mountain. The B&B is really clean, the breakfast is delicious, the hot spring temperature is comfortable, and soaking in it is very refreshing. The host is very patient, has a good attitude, the bedding is very fluffy and soft, and the room is fragrant.It is a rainy day for two days to come to Izu, and the next day I find that the shoes have been dried dry. I look forward to coming to Izu next time, and I will stay again!

If you are concerned about the lack of reviews like I was before then theres no need to worry! This hotel room was the best airbnb I’ve been at before. However, would only recommend if you have a car. The room was brand new. Complimentary wine bottle, beers and snacks. Spacious, luxurious and modern. Warm foot bath on the balcony with a view (not breathtaking but a view nonetheless). Massive bath and toilet, with hotspring bath with adjustable water heat. And a sauna (although we didnt get to use)! Free parking with plenty of spaces. Self-check in easily. Only regret was not spending more time there. Although it is on the more expensive side being a hotel, definitely worth it to wind down from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Very quick to response, transportation extremely good, took us convenience stores and restaurants to get dinner. Before check-in, they took our luggage from togendai station and we could continue our trip without needing to head back to the hotel. The view was extremely breathtaking, The onsen was also very relaxing, I also like the fact we could rent a private onsen. Very recommended for couples. The Host is very kind and responsive.

A great, very nice host family. Maki's breakfast was very tasty and the onsen a great relaxation in the evening. Maki's husband even drove us to the train station on the last day, very nice! A beautiful ryokan!

I had an amazing time during my brief stay at Episode Izu! The lodge is a fascinating blend of North American architecture and Japanese hospitality that made me feel right at home. During my stay, I enjoyed both exploring the local sights—such as the stunning coastline and breathtaking Mount Omuro—and relaxing indoors, especially soaking in the hotel’s private onsen. Its location makes it a highly recommended base if you're visiting the Izu Peninsula!
