This is a perfect little getaway spot! Steps from the beach, quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. Giannis is the nicest person ever, he provided wine and snacks and bottled water. He even picked me up from the port because the next bus wasn’t coming for hours. As a side note, you should really have your own transportation if you book this place. I wish I had rented a car in Heraklion, because taxis don’t seem to come to this area. But I was able to rent a car in the Athena Palace resort which is right down the road.

The apartment "veranda" was as it is described and definitely worth the price. We felt comfortable. Unfortunately, when looking for the apartment, we did not pay attention to the fact that there are few opportunities to run in nature in Ligaria. If you like to bathe in the sea, this is the place to be. You have to walk a short path down the mountain to the beach and then walk back up. We were very happy to do this. The restaurants nearby had good Cretan cuisine, also there the staff was very hospitable and we always felt welcome. Despina and her mother-in-law, who lives in the same building complex, treated us very, very hospitable.

We had a wonderful time at the accommodation. There were nine of us travelling and the place was spacious enough for all of us. The view was incredibly beautiful, and both the kitchen and bathrooms were superbly equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to visit the island of Crete, with nothing to complain about.

From the first moment as we were greeted by Magdalena and Vasiliss we felt at home. The hosts were extremely friendly and attentive with a great attention to every detail. The villa is very specious, tastefully decorated and comfortable with a large outdoor patio. The view is spectacular, we spent our evenings watching sunsets and moon rising behind the sea. At night you see the city line of near Heraklion, but the house is very quiet and peaceful. The pool is located near the house and has a restaurant opened late with a very large menu. There is a beautiful private beach down below with umbrellas and food delivery. The water is calm and crystal clear. The hosts were super helpful with arranging a rental car for us from a local company that was brought to our villa. The kitchen is well maintained and equipped, the host welcomed us with pastries, waters and wine. We were sad to leave this incredible place and hope to return soon.
