Perfect location. Amazing views. Everything as advertised. We loved walking down the beach ( 10 mins ) to the local restaurants and bakery and using it as a base for hikes.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. A really lovely little bothy in a beautiful spot. Perfect for a weekend break. We were breaking a journey north but it would be ideal for a few days walking or cycling. Thanks so much Marcelle and Alan and the dogs!

Booked this last minute as let down by previous host. Booked at 5.50 in apartment by 6.15. Thank you so much Lauren as we were in the car with nowhere to go. Really lucky as now fully booked. It's a lovely apartment at the harbour. Private parking which is brilliant. Very comfortable quiet apartment which is immaculate. Lift if you need it. Great location lovely walks. Had a lovely relaxing time. Lauren is great so helpful and responsive.

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

A beautiful and peaceful house, within an easy walk of the supermarket and take aways. Also minutes from a little park overlooking the River Esk. Perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to break a journey to Scotland, or for a longer stay

Warm, clean & comfortable little cottage with everything that we needed. Ideal location for the town and surrounding area, however we did underestimate how busy the road would be at night.

We had a great stay and would love to return one day. We went as a family of 4 - with our 17 & 19 year old sons and all really enjoyed the holiday cottage. The stand out 'wow' is the beautiful garden that leads down to the river at the bottom....a very rare find. The cottage is in the heart of the village, so there's easy access to small shops and variety of pubs to eat in. We had mixed weather and so enjoyed local walks but were glad of the log burner and heating to warm up at the end of the day. There's still a beautiful view of the garden even if it's raining. The cottage was well equipped and homely - it was much lighter and brighter inside than we'd thought it would be. Great stay - Thank you.

Fantastic stay with dear friends in Ambleside. The house was beautiful, the beds were comfy, the hot tub was great, and it was only a two minute walk to the shops in Ambleside. Perfect weekend and we would all come back. Highly recommend.

We have had a lovely stay at the boathouse which was just amazing! The boat house its self is beautiful, clean and comfortable with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! It is very well equipt, plenty of towels, blankets and even robes. We loved the hot tub with views over the lake. The location of the boathouse was just perfect for us and the views were stunning! We took our own paddle boards and was so happy to be able to launch straight from the jetty to explore the lake. My daughter also loved feeding the ducks from the jetty. We have had a busy few days on local bike trails, hikes, paddle boarding, boating and having some lovely meals out in beautiful Bowness, but always looked forward to returning to the boathouse! We will definitely be returning! Thank you

A well loved and super clean cottage in a surprisingly quiet part of Arnside. The garden is a little gem after a long day out in good weather. Thoroughly recommend and friends say I’m pretty fussy.

Really comfortable cottage, very well equipped in a great location. Easy to get to local attractions and great walks from the door. Close enough to visit the lakes but far enough away from hustle and bustle. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.

We loved it. It was perfectly located for what we wanted to do, the view was amazing from the Patio breakfast and drinks. We were unbelievably lucky with the weather for late September, and didn’t need all the woollens that we had taken. It’s a steep hill to get to the place from the town, but very quickly got used to it. Overall. Super super happy with the place and if we come back to the lakes we would choose to come back here. (For the owners - many apologies for the broken glass, meant to replace but ran out of time).

Great location for us visiting family. Would be good for walkers /bird watchers etc as good coastal access . Lovely view from main living area.

The home is situated in a beautiful location, offering a relaxing and serene environment. The house itself was spotless, and it was evident that Lee had thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. Lee was always responsible and a friendly host. Our week in this lovely apartment sped by too quickly! It was beautifully decorated with cosy lounges and chairs and very comfortable beds. The kitchen had more than we needed and all appliances were easy to use. The location was faultless - everywhere was so accessible from here! Pubs, cafes and restaurants were just across the road - where we headed after long hikes each day. We felt very sad to leave and look forward to returning one day soon 👍👋❤️

Spacious place and good location for town and walks

Lovely and spacious apartment fully equipped for our weekend away. Perfect combination of rustic and modern aesthetic. Kitchen was fully suited for all cooking needs. Bathrooms and all other areas were spotless. living room was a cozy place to chill with plenty of space. Location is perfect as right in the heart of Kendal with nearby shops and restaurants if needed. It was easy to travel to anywhere in the Lake District from here. Check-in was very straightforward.

The space was very clean and comfortable. Great location to the Dock Park. Appreciated the milk, fresh fruit and welcome note. The one drawback of being run by a company left us with No flexibility on an early check-in and no personal connection. The messaging gave us responses from multiple people of the management team versus one homeowner. We did not ask for local recommendations as it did not feel personal. They were as accommodating as a managing company could be.

Julie was a great host. The cottage was lovely and stocked with lots of essentials which really helped. We ate at the onsite restaurant on one evening and it was delicious - highly recommend. The kids in our group loved playing in the stream and on the rope swings. It was a great place to enjoy some relaxed family time.
