The perfect getaway. Stunning, peaceful property. Being welcomed by the sounds of the Guinea fowls and the rushing river made me so happy and calm. The accommodation itself was perfectly clean, homely, comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. The little touches like the lux bedding, the fresh milk and the torch by the door were great extras. And I really appreciated the close parking and the table and chairs sat by the river. Can't wait to return. Highly reccomend the host Madonna at The Granary. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

We booked at short notice within a couple of days & Sara & Matthew couldn't have been more responsive & accommodating to our needs, especially travelling with a 7mth old. The space was set in their beautiful house with picturesque surrounding gardens & with a spectacular view over the sands. We could easily come and go as we pleased with the private access to the accommodation. Sara & Matthew were very hospitable & friendly. It was easy to find with the information provided - a great gem of a location to explore the lakes & surrounding area - great value for money & would stay again in the future.

We loved our stay at The Annex. Our host Julie met us on arrival and was very friendly. The property was beautifully laid out, had everything you’d need. Extra touches such as milk, bread and home made flapjacks (delicious 😊) were very much appreciated. Would love to return!

Ellie’s place was the perfect place to stay - peaceful, spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved getting to meet the alpacas out the back too! Would highly recommend!

Great peaceful stay in beautiful location, opposite the marshes... a stunning sunset walk! Delicious breakfasts, Raphaela went out of her way to cater a tasty vegan breakfast. One of my favourite breakfasts in a long time! Thank you for a warm and friendly stay, would highly recommend :)

Helen and her family were friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely, homely, peaceful place to stay. The cottage is extremely well equipped and spacious. This was my second visit here, hopefully not my last!

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful flat, full of beautiful original features. It's so spacious and our kids loved staying in the castle! We had everything we needed and Caroline was great at keeping in touch. Many thanks Caroline!

Shepherd’s Heft was perfect for our long Bank Holiday stay, close to Hadrian’s Wall and a short walk into Haltwhistle. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage. Easy to walk out with the dog, and to park safely.

Absolutely loved our stay at Sonia’s cosy cottage! It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding fells—great walks right on the doorstep and only a short drive from Hesket Newmarket, which has a brilliant little pub for lunch or dinner (ideal after a long day hiking). The cottage itself was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was really well-equipped with loads of handy amenities, making it easy to cook at home if you fancy a quiet night in. Sonia was a fantastic host—friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was just right. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful, well-located spot to enjoy the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Would definitely stay again!

This was by far the best value for money Airb&b we’ve stayed in. Beautiful decoration, good quality furniture and appliances, super comfortable bed and a huge walk in shower. Some helpful recommendations from out host and a walkable distance from town for most people but we tended to go further a field. All in all a lovely last stay to our holiday. Thank you

The home is in a peaceful, relaxing area and was perfect for our family—including our little one and dog. We really appreciated how accommodating and welcoming everything was. Highly recommend!

Had a one nights stay as i came back to my home town for a school reunion, the Snug was the perfect place for me as i'm very picky where i park my car. This place was close enough to friends and the venue. The Snug was very well kept, very clean and perfect for my one night stay. Im already looking into future events in the town so i can come and stay here again.

Great Host and well kept and clean accommodation. Ideal for long weekend trips and close to nearby towns and only a stone throw away from the Cumbrian Kart Racing Track.

Really peaceful stay. The place is incredibly clean and has everything you need. Emma is also a lovely and responsive host. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the nearby areas including the Lake District.

Pamela was the most amazing host meeting us at the gate as we arrived. Beautiful surrounds, spotless accommodation with absolutely everything you could need. Keith and Pamela gave us great advice on what to do and see and even dropped us at the local pub for dinner. Amazing hosts. Such a beautiful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle. The only thing I regret about staying at Susan’s place is that I stayed for just 1 night. This is a very special place created by Susan and it needs to be a bucket list place to stay at. We loved our time at Susan! She is very kind, helpful and friendly and went beyond her way to help us during our stay! I can’t wait to go back there again. 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for special and unique stays and experiences.

We had a lovely stay at "The Byre". The location is very peaceful, cottage is well equipped with high quality items and beautifully decorated. I can't remember when I slept that well. We would love to come back in the future. Thx for having us.

Neil's place was so lovely, very welcoming, scones on arrival so delicious, breakfast with lots of variety, our room was so beautiful, very clean, lovely area & peaceful would highly recommend. Recommendations on our way to Edinburgh which were lovely much appreciated. Thank you would happily stay again.

Had a great night's stay! I got clear instructions from Jo on how to get there and how to check-in should they not be there, they even left me room to park a car on their drive. Jo was very friendly and accommodating and, when I arrived, showed me to my room which had access to the back garden. It was very cosy and had a private shower room and toilet attached. There was a ladder to my bed, which was fine for me but might not be suitable for someone older, but the bed was very comfy and I slept well! Jo had left some breakfast items for me and a kettle in my room to have a cup of coffee and some porridge before I left, which was a lovely touch! Overall, I would definitely stay here again! Andy was an amazing host, the rooms where very spacious, also had game provided that we could use. we asked if he had any binoculars and he managed to provided us some to borrow. over all we think this a 5 out of 5 place to stay

The most lovely stay at Town End Barn. I was only there for a short stay but it felt very homely and cosy, with so many lovely little touches. Everything has been thought about and everything you might need available. After a 26 mile hike it was a perfect place to come back to - and have a hot bath! So well located for exploring Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. Thank you Jo!
