Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Amazing stay ! House is very welcoming , extremely well equipt , cosy but also spacious and immaculately clean . Views from the sun room just stopped me in my tracks … breath taking ! - 20 mins or so and we were at Whitehaven where you can walk to st bees beach - 30 minute drives to both blencathra and skiddaw , which we were happy to tick off ☑️… our first visit to the lakes made even better with this lovely home to come back to after a day in the fells ❤️

We absolutely loved our stay here and found it so convenient for all the places we wanted to visit (including Scafell pike!) The space was immaculate and had everything we needed for our trip. Helen was so easy to contact and so helpful with directions and suggestions of places to go. I’ve already recommended this to friends who want to visit the Lake District :)

the Chapel House mews is perfect if you want a little peace. The pub is relatively close and proximity to Skiddaw very convenient with Keswick just down the road. Everything you need and it didn’t rain-perfect. Many thanks Stefan.

We had a wonderful stay here and made amazing memories. The surroundings were stunning, and we felt right at home. We loved the cottage and the little touches made the stay even better - the brownies were to die for. Rosie was a great host, and we’d love to come back in the near future.

Good location just outside Keswick, perfect with a car to visit various walking spots, lakes and close to Keswick. Lovely, clean and very practical place to stay, recommend the place to stay as a base to visit the lake district. Perfect for couples looking forward to weekend away as it is great value for money.

A lovely place hidden away off the A66, easily within range of Keswick and a great number of Northern Lakes Wainwirights. Comfortable and a haven away from some typical Lakeland weather!

Susan’s place was one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. The place is in an ideal location, two minutes walk to the seafront, cafes and shops. Everything you could need for relaxing stay. Also the local Co-Op across the road. The place is spacious and spotless. The lovely outdoor seating area was great, as we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather. All instructions clear and easy to access the house. Although we didn’t get to meet Susan as she was away, I spoke to her husband and he recommended a lovely Bistro called Stellas , which we booked for the Wednesday evening and both myself and partner loved it, the food was amazing and the host Graeme looked after us. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

A lovely, bright sunny warm home. Lots of character and a great location in Cockermouth (ease of parking a massive bonus). Hosts great to communicate with and highly recommended.

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

Our stay at this charming Victorian townhouse in Cockermouth was truly exceptional. The attic room was particularly lovely, offering not just comfort but also practical amenities like a workstation and a walking pad—perfect if you need to catch up on some work without missing out on relaxation. Communication with the host was seamless, and the thoughtful touches throughout reflected genuine care and personality, setting this apart from typical stays. This home truly captures the spirit of the Lake District and was the ideal base for our adventures. We highly recommend this home!
