I can’t express how grateful I am for this unforgettable stay. Nestled deep in the woods, the place felt like a peaceful retreat straight out of a fairytale: quiet, surrounded by nature, with the soft sounds of birds and leaves in the breeze. Every little detail was thought through with care and love, making the space not only cozy and beautiful, but also deeply welcoming. And then there’s the host, absolutely extraordinary. From the first message, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind, Mariana made us feel more like guests in a friend’s home than travelers passing through. Their recommendations, attentiveness, and generosity added so much to the experience. If you’re looking for a special escape, this is it. A place to breathe, to slow down, and to feel truly taken care of. I’ll carry the peace I found here with me for a long time.

Loved the farm with no farm smell and no flies and mosquitoes. Inside was very well stocked with condiments, toaster, plenty of coffee. So much to offer and very accommodating and very friendly and João spoke English and Spanish. So far the best place. Close drive to Convento de Cristo, Pegoes Aqueduct, Sete Montes Park. Absolutely highly recommend. Would be back if need be.

We stayed in the house next to Eric's house, who is very warm, extremely friendly and even fun with stories and life experiences from all over the world, and he welcomed us very well throughout the stay. He always respected our privacy despite sharing the outdoor space with us. The house is better than in the photos, super comfortable, with great conditions. We went with our dog, who was very well received by Eric's dogs and cats, without invading our space. The outdoor space is very pleasant, facing the river, with no fences and almost direct access to the river! Beautiful, isolated, unique space. As we went during the week there was no one on the river beach, which is very nice but quite small, even though it is right next to the house and it fills up with people easily. We'll be back! Thank you Eric! You're definitely a Superhost!

What a wonderful stay we had at Sonia and Rui’s house. It was very well equipped, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were both very responsive, helpful and friendly. The area is very quiet with nice neighbours. There are 2 balconies with a lovely view of the lake, a barbecue, and the house itself is very spacious. The village shop is a short car journey, which is well stocked. We travelled mostly to Tomar (approximately 20 mins by car) where there are a fantastic range of larger supermarkets and restaurants. The direct water access was absolutely fantastic for us, and we spent most of our time on the water/at the lake. The launch itself is a short drive away, but not an issue to get to. The access to the lake is fairly steep, but walkable/accessible. Our 3 year old managed this fine, and couldn’t wait to go swimming in the lake everyday. There is also a shared condominium pool, and was quiet during our stay. We were sad to leave, but will be back!
