Holiday rentals with a kayak in Yucatán Peninsula

This was our third stay at Casa Dulce and it will NOT be our last. Great location in Playacar Fase 1 with a private pool to cool off in after walking around 5th Avenue (about 10 minute walk) or spending the day at the beach which is less than 2 blocks from the home. Alizee sent an email before our arrival with restaurant suggestions as well as suggestions of things to do. The AC was a definite plus. We would turn it on before bed and the room was nice and cool for sleeping. Highly recommend this Airbnb location in Playa del Carmen

Honest review: it's fair to say it was a fantastic stay. Amazing sunsets. The hosts were very responsive both before and during the stay. The place is down a long and narrow dirt road but once you get to the home, it's true paradise. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spread out, and there is plenty of room for parking. This home is truly steps from the Gulf and there's ample patio space. I loved the thatched roof area with the table, which had lights for the evening. Wifi was strong. Things to keep in mind (some of which are out of the owner's control): having a rental car is a must, it's down a long road that is a fair walk from main road. Air conditioning is present in every bedroom, but not the main living space/kitchen, which can get warm in hot weather even with the large ceiling fans. There is not much beach in front of the home, and barely any in neighboring properties - it's not an area where you can go for long walks on the beach. Rent this place for a quiet beach vacation!

The property is beautiful. It's great for a family vacation. It was obvious that it was professionally furnished and decorated. Attention was paid to every detail throughout the property. We were not too happy with the town as there was no real nightlife and the town seemed to be pretty impoverished. Thankfully the property was so inviting. We spent a lot of time at the house enjoying the amenities offered by the house. We enjoyed being able to prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The pool house was so nice. We had beach towels available to us. We had a couple of minor issues but they were addressed very quickly. While we were not impressed with Progreso. we were very pleased with the property. Thank you so much!

This place was great. I was there with 12 of my best friends and everything worked out perfect staying at Daniel’s place; the house was a great size and the location was very convenient! We enjoyed being right on the beach, and the pool at the house was perfect for what we wanted. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, private home right on the beach! Walkable to downtown, convenience store, restaurants, etc. The ocean was perfect for swimming and the sandy bottom goes out far! Our pool was also very refreshing. Beach bags and pool towels were provided. The bedrooms are all very nice and large, all with their own well stocked bathrooms. All rooms in this home have great views of the ocean! The kitchen is also well stocked, with plenty of seating and open to the family room. We had several flight problems causing us to arrive a day late. Rene was so kind and offered to have complimentary yummy pizzas delivered to us! Both Rene and Sonia were very helpful with organizing transportation for us, and recommending places to go during our stay. I would highly recommend staying in this amazing home! Thank you again Rene and Sonia for your generosity, kindness, and making us want to come back and stay in your beautiful home!

Nice property right on the beach. Beach access was great and Tony, the on site helper, was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Maria Elena's villa is extraordinary. Very spacious, we all had the comforts we needed. Extremely well-equipped, everyone was there. Whether it's cooking utensils, beach towels, baby furniture, board games, sand toys, outdoor equipment, everything was there. The beds were very comfortable. We were 6 adults, 2 children and 2 babies and everyone had their space. Communication with Maria Elena was extremely easy and quick. She gave us several suggestions for restaurants and things to do. During our stay, we used the services of Jackie and Toño, the couple who takes care of the residence. They are remarkable and thoughtful people. They prepared meals for the majority of our stay and everything was great. I highly recommend using their service as they were really great, highlight of our trip. We will be back again.

This was like staying in our own private resort. The beach area was the most versatile and enjoyable of any home we e stayed in. Tons of different seating configurations, and additional snorkeling and kayaking gear. . And of course, laying in the hammocks on the extended dock was heavenly. The inside of the home worked very well for us. Nice seating in the living room and kitchen with amazing views of the water. Beds were comfortable, toilets and showers did their jobs. Plus roof top pool was a great treat. Finally the staff Marcos and his wife, were very kind and helpful if we needed something. And Marcel was excellent with communication. Aside from the very bumpy road leasing to the home (around 5 minutes of grief, but not unusual in areas like this) this was a perfect, relaxing base for seeing the Tulum area. (Note, it is much better to have your own car as the home is around 20/30 minutes drive to downtown Tulum.

Miguel’s place is wonderful, it was beyond our expectations and even more beautiful than what we expected. It was all clean and put together, Juan who is the person in charge is great and very helpful. We will be back definitely as we had a very pleasant stay. Just worth notice if you need to get to the little towns surrounding the place I would recommend renting a car. Great great location

It is perfect if you want to spend a quiet vacation away from the city, the sea is quiet for swimming, to get there you have to follow the institutions as Google maps can take you elsewhere. The apartment is very spacious and with a beautiful view of the sea, it is a little neglected but that does not affect its functioning. When arriving there was no Internet but host was always attentive until sorted out. I would highly recommend it

Excellent accommodation with access to the private lagoon, you have all amenities to spend it excellent, grill, kitchen, table, kayak. Very nice, we will definitely come back.

The Treehouse is such a gem! My only regret is not booking a longer stay. The place is homey, lived in, and the private beach access could not be beat. Rubio, the caretaker, was incredibly attentive and so generous, helping us with the kayaks and always getting us fresh coconuts. It’s a perfect get away and I can’t wait to return!!

We loved our stay at Cristina’s cottage. Perfect little spot for the two of us with a cute rooftop patio. The cottage was very clean and well stocked for our visit. By far the best part though was proximity to the beach, which often felt like our own private beach! We would definitely stay again!

Everything is very good, very tidy, I just think it needs a fence since it is right by the road

We have been in 5 cabins in Tulumcito and without a doubt with Jorge we no longer want to try another one, we are sure that we will return, we were super comfortable, they really think of everything and supply all your needs! We were very happy and we are very satisfied indeed!!! They have a power plant, we always had water and we had an amazing time. Thanks Jorge for everything

we had some trouble getting there because the direction and location given an Airbnb were absolutely wrong which unfortunately left us Walking In The Heat with heavy backpacks for about an hour and a half, communicating with the host who thank God was very responsive and ultimately send a taxi for us. once they were there the place was super cute, I would say there are a lot of cabins in the houses crammed into a small space that isn't quite apparent on the photos but it was very quiet although we did pull all the curtains to have some privacy. some staff giving a tour walked right in front of our deck as soon as we got there to show off the lounge area which is several stair steps down from where this cabin is. unfortunately have to close all the curtains all the time because people are walking around everywhere right at eye level. all on all we enjoyed it I thought it was a great location for the value and would certainly come back again

Godfrey communicated with us in advance and arranged pick up from airport to a restaurant (he had a few recommendations) and then being brought from restaurant to the cabin He was very friendly and welcoming The cabin was clean , nice wooden floors, comfortable bed , quite, felt nice with A/C We were able to heat up our breakfast in Mwave and made black coffee

The cabin had a wonderful view to the Bacalar Lagoon. From the property, you could directly access the lagoon for swimming and enjoying its crystal clear waters. The place was very quiet and the hosts were always attentive to everything we needed, being very friendly at all times. The surroundings were extremely quiet, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the place. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay for those looking for a serene destination with an impressive nature. It is important to note that the road to the cabin can be a little tricky, with branches, potholes and slopes that can represent a challenge. Therefore, it is recommended to arrive in an own vehicle to be able to access without problems. Also, it is recommended to bring the food and insect repellent as there are several mosquitoes in the area. Overall, it's a great option for those who want to get away from the hustle.

I really enjoyed my stay here for a few reasons, the first and biggest reason was how great Stacey and her family was. I was coming out there alone and was on edge but Stacey quickly made me feel safe and comfortable. She also made me a great breakfast every morning. Secondly, If you love nature or just want a peaceful, private getaway, this is the place for you. I got to see spider monkeys and kayak on the creek, it was pretty cool. Lastly, The cabin was very clean and modern, and they provided everything you would need— I loved the shower! It was pretty far from everything, and the road getting out there is pretty bumpy so just be prepared for that, but everything else was great. I had maximum peace out there just journaling, reading, chilling, and spending time with Gods beautiful creation.
