Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Yucatán Peninsula

We historically been resort people in Mexico. Took a chance on an Airbnb and let me tell you - NO REGRETS. Do it now! Great value, amazing restaurants to walk to, safe and there is a great roof top pool with cash bar. You’ll have the resort experience with a much better value. Thank you to our host.

This place is excellent. I highly recommend staying here as its within walking distance to everything (beach, supermarket, and unlimited restaurants, bars, shops 5th Avenue and all the hot spots). The apartment had everything needed and more. We didn't use the balcony or the pool due to construction and dust everywhere, but other than that, it was excellent. You couldn't hear the construction from the bedroom, so it didn't bother us much. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable to me, but my husband didn't mind it too much. You can't please everyone with the bed, so it's fine. The room is really dark, so you will get some really good sleep in there. The gym is small, but had everything needed for a great workout. There is a sports complex right nextdoor too. Overall, I highly recommend this place as it has everything you need and more. we would definitely stay here again!

The building is beautiful, very modern and has great amenities like a gym and a rooftop pool with an amazing view of the sunset. The interior design of the apartment is absolutely perfect – incredibly cozy, and we felt at home right away. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and there was even a steamer for clothes, which was a great extra. A helpful addition would be a mosquito net at the window. During our stay in April, there were only a few mosquitoes, but in other months a net might be useful. It’s helpful to know that there are no restaurants, supermarkets, or free public beach access nearby, so it’s best to have a scooter or rental car if you want to avoid expensive taxis. We rented a scooter directly at the front desk of the accomodation (the scooter was 600 MXN per day). We would definitely come back – the beautiful interior design made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay and it was one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we’ve ever visited.

Gem! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. This Airbnb exceeded all expectations! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. But the true highlight? The swimming pool. The pool area felt like a private oasis — crystal clear water, comfortable lounge chairs, and just the right mix of sun and shade. We spent our mornings enjoying coffee by the water and our evenings watching the sunset poolside with a glass of wine. It was peaceful, serene, and incredibly rejuvenating. Our host was just as wonderful as the home — responsive, thoughtful, and full of helpful local recommendations that made our trip even better. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, recharge, and truly escape, this is it. We’re already planning our next trip back. Don’t hesitate — book it!

Host very responsive throughout and provided excellent directions. The location is the best in Playa with everything eg convenience store, pharmacy, cafe etc etc accessible within a 5 minute walk. Its also a short stroll to the beach. The unit was as described and it was hot and muggy this time of year but the a/c's worked very well. The unit was quiet despite some other reviews mentioning hearing the swimming pool mechanism from upstairs but we didnt notice that. The sound-proofing was good and the music from nearby clubs etc was also not an issue at night. The balcony was nice. The kitchen is not the most functional but we ate out and so it wasnt an issue. The roof and pools were nice and we spent some evenings there, it was never too busy, at least this time of the year. We had a car, and there is a garage in the building but parking is not the easiest because parking spaces were very teeny, so we suggest renting a smaller car if you intend to drive here. All in all terrific stay.

Andres was a great host—very communicative throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and easy. The location was perfect, just a block away from 5th Street where all the restaurants and shops are. We loved that the living room was on a separate floor from the bedroom—it really gave the place a homey, spacious feel. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you, Andres!

This place was breath taking, lots to do and if you are worried about transportation, don’t be you can literally walk to ATV, mopeds and bike rentals right across the street for about $40 a day depending on what you choose, we went to our excursions on our rentals. I recommend going to the beach club area for food. Gas stations are close as well as grocery stores, the actual property was amazing!!!!!!

Excellent location, clean, close to restaurants, 5 minutes from 5th Avenue, very comfortable bed and private location, good taxi service. Miguel was very attentive and friendly, I will return soon.

Great stay! Clean apartment, responsive host, and 5 min bike ride to town or 15 to hotel zone. Be aware, it is in an apartment building, so you can hear inconsiderate/loud guests.

We came to Kippal Cozumel with my wife and kids, and it didn’t take long to realize we had found the perfect spot for a family vacation. The apartment was spotless, beautifully designed, and fully equipped – but what really made the difference was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We truly felt at home from the very beginning. The kids absolutely loved the pool, the foosball table, and the pool table – it was hard to get them to leave. And we enjoyed the peace and quiet, the rooftop bar with relaxing music, and the perfectly timed, delicious margarita that made everything even better. It honestly felt like every little detail had already been thought of. The hospitality was top-notch and full of heart. Thank you for an amazing experience – we would absolutely love to come back again!

Great apartment in a nice condo complex. It’s worth noting that if you’re after beach time to note that Playa del Carmen and that coast gets a lot of seaweed from May thru August apparently, so be prepared for the smell and not using the sea much. The apartment is wonderful, well lit, very spacious and well equipped. The host is very responsive. The pool setup is great, added bonus having same shade over the pool. Staff at the complex are fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our stay here

Five star stay! From the welcome guide provided at booking to the communication throughout our trip this was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had to date. The Airbnb was exactly as described and the perfect location to enjoy Playa to the fullest. Can’t say enough good things. 10/10 wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting again!

Great stay! Only downside was there were only two shower towels and had issues with the AC kicking off during the day and in the middle of the night… Easy access to everything you want to do in Tulum!

This is Top 5 Airbnbs I've stayed in! Pablo was there for check-in and did a walkthrough, which was very helpful! There are a *ton* of amenities so it was nice to be made aware of everything. They've really thought of everything from the renter's perspective and what could be needed, top tier! It's in a private location so I felt very safe and it was very peaceful, both inside and out. I stayed on the bottom floor and didn't hear a peep from the person staying on the top. I entered my Bad Back era a few years ago and dread sleeping in any bed but my own but this was beyond comfortable and supportive, I slept like a rock every night! Julius and Pablo are beyond hospitable, beyond accommodating and understanding, I highly highly recommend this space!

Definitely a very good option to stay in Merida, a very nice area, the host is always very attentive and friendly, he even provided us with many things on the way to the accommodation, clear and precise instructions, 100% recommended.

excellent option to stay in chetumal, nothing like getting to a house to relax, great option for couples or families, the common areas very clean and safe. Highly recommended.

Boy, oh boy was this an amazing place! It truly felt like a destination on its own. It’s simply decorated but beautiful, CLEAN and very comfortable. I will mention that we went in June and it was 38C every day. So you stay to the rooms with AC (front room has no AC). It’s in a quiet neighborhood and a little bit of a walk to the main areas but LOTS of hidden gems around the neighborhood if you get curious enough. As two women, we felt very safe any time of day or night. I wouldn’t say the walk to the main areas would even be a problem if the weather was cooler. I spent about 2 days in the house due to a sunburn and felt so comfortable and happy. Truly comfortable and has everything you need. Karla is BEYOND helpful and kind and so sweet. She helped us with local recommendations and anything we asked her. I feel like I know her. She seems like a wonderful person, just as her house is! I would certainly stay here again and again. But next time I’ll go in a cooler month.

The location of the house is primo! We found the family environment safe and a perfect way to experience the island culture. We will definitely visit again!
