Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Yarmouth County

Lorette’s place is a tiny slice of heaven. I highly recommend staying here. The house is older but that’s what makes it so wonderful and have such great charm. The house was on a dead end which made it incredibly private and quiet. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful, bright rainbow and we’re treated to our very first time seeing the northern lights!! Rachel, Lorette’s sister was extremely friendly and helpful and they are both there for you if you need anything very responsive. I have to say it again I highly highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back. If you have children she had such a wonderful stocked location of toys, coloring books sidewalk chalk and for adults plenty of movies and games and crossword puzzles . The backyard was my favorite with the huge deck and the view of the field and path to the water with the beautiful pine trees at the end. I enjoyed every morning with my tea and the birds thank you so much, Lorette!!

Beautiful spot inside and out. The home is well equipped and spacious. Check in was a breeze and Shelly was very responsive. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms are large and had lots of towels. The back deck is lovely with a great view of the lake. Close to town.

What a beautiful stay. It was my first time in the area and at Acadia NP and I’m so happy I chose Jackie’s place in Winter Harbor rather than the busy Bar Harbor side. It was so peaceful and quiet in the evenings. There were also walking distance hikes in Acadia NP. There is a ferry on the Winter Harbor side to take into Bar Harbor which was a lovely scenic trip and incredibly convenient. There is a delicious seafood restaurant right down the street that was walking distance from the house as well. Jackie was so responsive and a great host. I would 10/10 book again.

Thomas has a wonderful oceanfront home with great views of lobster boats both anchored and preparing for their departure. The peace and quiet of this location is just extraordinary. The views from inside are spectacular and the views outside are equally stunning and breathtaking. The tide averaged about thirteen feet between low and high tides while we were there enabling the lobstermen next door to literally load traps on their boats next door. Really cool experience seeing those wonderful boats up so close. Might add that Thomas has a knack for creating a really relaxing atmosphere outside. Good vibes. Thanks Thomas!!

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

Our family of 5 had a great visit! The cabin is in a gorgeous location with a short walk down hill on a cute flagstone path to the beach. Our three kids had a blast picking up shells, turning over rocks, and finding beach glass. Although there are other cabins nearby, there are many trees that make the cabin feel so private. It was relaxing to sit on the porch and spend time outdoors. The cabin itself was recently renovated and is so very comfortable and cute. There were more than enough beds and thanks to good draperies over the windows (important when the sun rises so early!) we slept very well. We enjoyed relaxing at night by the wood burning fire in the living room. We like to cook most of our meals and the kitchen was easy to navigate and the newer appliances and lots of cookware made cooking easy. We had a wonderful time!

Ryan was fantastic! He was clear about everything that we needed to know up front, was super helpful when I had questions (even when I realized after the fact he had already given me the information I was looking for lol), and the property was absolutely stunning and so much fun for everyone! We went as a group of 3 moms and 6 kids five and under. We will be back! Nothing was missed in this place, everything you could think you would need was there! Fantastic!

This is our second time staying, and it is a perfect place to enjoy the ocean view - right across the street, visit friends and family, and chill. And eat lobster and scallops☺️. Thank you, Marie - Laure

The experience left nothing to be desired as we were looking for a remote spot and a place comfortable and spacious enough to stay inside during bad weather and Jeff’s place checked the boxes. We were the only ones in the 2 unit home. The view is very pretty and the wildlife is plentiful. The access to the water is down a dirt embankment which leads to mud flats at low tide. Beware of the tides if you can get the kayaks down there.

My family and I had a fantastic stay! It was exactly as described and the waterfront was so nice to wake up to. Having two bathrooms was great and all of the decor was fun to explore.

John & Marlene are wonderful hosts - available for questions & last minute problem solving, very friendly & welcoming. A few notes about the units: 1. They're on Rte 1, so you see & hear all the cars zooming by all day & night. This kept some of our party awake at night, but our unit also had white noise machines in each bedroom. 2. The bathrooms do not have bath tubs, just shower stalls. 3. Laundry detergent is provided.

This is the perfect location. A super short walk to restaurants and the action in town, tucked into a beautiful quiet yard overlooking the ocean and shore path. The space was great, plenty of room and everything we needed. Clean! Hot water! Comfy bed! We did get to chat a bit with the hosts who were lovely and made us feel right at home. The area is just incredible, a place I can’t wait to return to. Book this place, you will be so glad you did!
