Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

What a beautiful place to stay! Thank you Jerry for having such a well maintained apartment - including a full kitchen so we could self cater. The whole place was also so snug and cosy and the bed was super comfy. Perfect place to just relax after a full day exploring! Fab location with stunning views overlooking fells - quiet area, barely knew others were about. Apartment well looked after, clean and tidy. Bonus having access to the gym, sauna & spa. We went for a short break and it was lovely! The house was perfect for chilling out after a long day. Kitchen had a lot of things we needed and plenty of things to do even in the home! Perfect location, both towns either side of us with lots of options to eat and all within walking distance too. We were so glad we were able to stay here and hoping to be back soon! Lovely peaceful place, perfect for exploring the local area. The cottage was great and had everything I needed. Margaret even left a pint of milk on the doorstep for when I arrived. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family 😊

Thurnham hall is a great place to stay!

Colin contacted us prior to our stay to give us accurate details of where to go, and what to do. He gave us his contact number incase there was any issues, and told us to contact him anytime. His apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the photos do not do it justice.. and the views from the balcony were 100%. The location was perfect for what we was looking for. We would highly recommend ,and definitely stay there again.😊

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Located in a really good location, with restaurants and a shop within a very short walk of the accommodation. The cottage was beautifully laid out, the shower was amazing! The hot tub was perfect, and loved that it’s private and secluded so no one can see in. Would highly recommend the stay - just be prepared for slow WiFi!

The host met us and showed us around. Lovely personal touch. We were allowed a later check out. The house is stunning and in a beautiful location. Room decor and en-suites met everyone’s needs. Welcome pack was a lovely added touch with lots of high end quality goodies included. The house had everything we needed if we had forgotten anything. Hand soap’s, kitchen stocked with dishwasher tablets cleaning sprays, tea/ coffee etc The log burner had a full basket of logs. The outside space was amazing with chairs provided. Indoor games for children and families, plenty of crockery and glasses. All provided. The only one point might be a few more outdoor games or an upgrade on some equipment/ games for outdoors. This is a personal thing as we had children with us, and very much weather dependent. We were lucky and sun shone all weekend. Thank you to the host for providing such a fantastic stay.

Travelling from Australia, this was a great safe spot to keep our motorcycles out of eyes view on the way to the Isle Of Man TT. House was beautiful, spotlessly clean. Appreciated the fresh milk, and bread for a quick breakfast in the morning. Was surprised that we could get an Uber and had a great meal at the Fleece Inn and only cost £6 each way. Would be a great place to stay for more nights

Beautiful lodge, with everything we needed. Amazing place to spend Christmas, so relaxing and just what we needed. Can’t fault anything and would love to return ☺️

Stayed for two nights with my grownup children Had a great time, lovely location, did some walking to the cove and to Janet’s Foss Went to the pub which is just around the corner which was handy! The house was very nice with views out across fields We ate at the house both nights (we left it too late to book anything local) I found the large kitchen well equipped with all you need to cater for the 8 of us that were there. All in all a very pleasant stay, I would definitely recommend to others.

Lovely cottage in a quiet setting, about 25 mins from both Coniston and Windermere. The cottage is comfortably furnished with all the kitchen essentials for your break away. Steve was very quick to respond to messages both before the holiday giving us some helpful tips on places to go and during our visit as needed. We had a very relaxed time there with plenty to do in the surrounding area's.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

Great place all-round. Everything was just as described on the listing and Dornu, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. A great place to use as a base for your trip to the lakes :)
