Family-friendly holiday rentals in West Jefferson

We loved the space and it was perfect to go see a show at Beech mountain. Easily walkable to the mountain for the concert.

This by far the best place we have stayed in the last few years. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated. Had everything we needed. Morning came with a symphony of birds and sounds from the cows in the neighboring farm. Nighttime brought a chorus of tree frogs. The beds were comfortable the kitchen stocked and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Close to fishing and hiking. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

We did a rather long stay in the cabin for a little over a week and had a wonderful time as a family. Even though we had a ton of rain, we were able to watch through (what an incredible view!!!) the windows and enjoy the day spent together! We loved the location of the cabin as we could get to Boone and Blowing Rock quickly. I highly recommend this cabin for a trip to the area and will be sharing with family and friends!

This little cabin was in a gorgeous location! Right next to the snow tubing and not far from grandfather mountain! The views from the hot tub were amazing! Brought our two dogs and they loved it! The patio with the hot tub was fenced in so the dogs were able to hang with us while we were relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely would recommend and plan to come back!

House was great. Very clean and the host were extremely helpful and responsive.

We had a great stay at William's place. it was clean, peaceful and we felt right at home. The grill and hot tub made it a great place to relax, unwind, and cook out after a day out. Would definitely stay again!

My family enjoyed the cabin very much! They said the view was beautiful, and they loved sitting on the porch. Heather was very responsive and kind.

My husband and I had a great stay! We went for a peaceful time away, and it was exactly that. We relaxed and enjoyed our time away, went to the local shops and ate some great food. We would definitely come back!

This is our second time staying at this lake perfection. Already planning the next trip! The house is truly perfect in every way and has so many amenities that help to make it the most relaxing and fun stay! Wonderful location, well stocked home, best view and space to completely unwind!

I have lost count at how many times we have stayed at Liz’s place. It is truly our home away from home. We love everything about it. The location, the beds, the front and back porch to sit and watch the wildlife in the mornings!! Liz and Jason are the best hosts of any Airbnb I have ever stayed at! Thanks again guys! Walter gave us an amazing place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Very secluded and private, which is something we were looking for. We felt right at home when we walked in and wish we could take this cabin back home. Everything was very tidy, well organized and we didn’t have to go looking for anything. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because it rained a majority of the weekend, which we were bummed about, but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside and listening to the sound of the river, rain and frogs. Very peaceful! Being so close to the river it made it very easy and quick to run down and throw a few casts in the river. Thank you Walter for the very comfortable stay. This place is on our list of places to hopefully return to!

This was the perfect house to stay in for my graduation. It wasn’t too far from App and had everything we needed. Angela was responsive and timely whenever contacting her. The book in the living room was fun to look through.. I’m glad more people have been able to enjoy this space. We will be returning soon!

I had a great month long early spring stay at this mountainside studio condo with beautiful mountain and valley views. The unit was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and was perfect for my very simple needs. There are many on site and nearby (non-ski season) mountain hiking trails and quiet neighborhood road walking routes. I appreciated having access to the heated indoor pool and fitness room in the community clubhouse. Overall, a wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy the mountains!

Very comfortable lots of space very relaxing would love to stay again

This is our second stay at Nicole's place. Five-star accommodations - squeaky clean, super comfortable beds, and we appreciate all the extra amenities (coffee, snacks, spices, etc.). The deck is the perfect place for a morning coffee or evening meal. Can't beat the location as you can walk to town, the outlet mall, and the trails at Cone Manor Park.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

We enjoyed our stay at Abril and Christophers place. Location was great for access to the mountain biking trails.

Great home to stay in with family in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Property was very comfortable and clean. We would book again.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here. Be sure to enjoy the most stunning sunrises and sunsets from the balcony.

Great place, exactly as advertised. Cheetola in general is a great resort and Balsam is off to one side, giving you extra privacy with woods in the back. 15 min drive to App Ski, which is what we came for. The place does have a dated furnishing style but it’s charming in its own way. One suggestion for improvement would be the mattress in the main bedroom, starting to get a bit old. Also, there was ice in the parking lot and on the steps leading to the unit. But that seems to be a Cheetola problem, not Gail.
