Beachfront holiday rentals in West Haven

My husband and I stayed here with my mom, 3 yr old, and infant and had a lovely time. The house had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t need. This place was no frills but right on the water, and the price reflects that. Stairs are a bit on the steeper side so just be aware of that if you have anyone with bad knees or children learning to use stairs still. Our host was wonderful and very responsive, we liked him a lot! The beach out front is a bit rocky, so water shoes are a must. But it is so beautiful and peaceful! Our favorite thing was going out during low tide with the kids, you can walk really far out and we saw lots of horseshoe crabs and it was so much fun.

It’s a great place to stay with your family. The host is super friendly and responsive. I absolutely love the amenities and the attention given to. Only thing I wish the inside voice levels were reduce; every time we spoke, we were able to hear one another even though we were in different parts of the home. But, it’s a very good and safe neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay! Such easy access to the beach was so convenient. You’re definitely better off venturing out after high tide to enjoy the most amount of beach and there are a lot of shells that make being barefoot challenging. We did arrive after major storms which could have contributed to that. The house was spotless with everything you need to be comfortable! We did not utilize the outdoor space but definitely would have if the weather was drier! Definitely would stay here again.

Jeff’s place was a hidden gem. It was private, close to the beach and town and the home was safe, clean and well designed. Jeff was kind and super responsive. There is a reason this place is always booked. I highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return!

A beautiful home and space. A very thoughtful host and well organized. The house was of supplies, cookware and dinnerware. Lots of soap, towels, extra bed stuff, and toothbrushes. Pack your own shampoo (we did!) The house easily accommodated 4 couples and we had no complaints. The deck and waterfront were so relaxing. The open concept downstairs was perfect for 8 people to not feel crammed. Excellent for reading, relaxing, yoga, etc. we loved this house and would book again. Very fair pricing too! Large drive accommodated all 4 cars with extra room.

We had the most lovely weekend at Carrie’s! The home was comfortable, cozy and so close to the beach. Our dog loved playing and splashing in the low tide and we all got the rest and relaxation we were seeking. Of note, the steep staircase proved difficult for our senior dog, but this style home is ubiquitous in the NE so that was definitely our oversight. Overall we had a wonderful stay and are already thinking about when we’d like to return.

The place matched the description perfectly and much more spacious than what one usually finds for a single bed/bath apartment. I enjoyed the stay and would return again. For me it was a perfect place to accommodate overflow thanksgiving guests over the holiday.

Beautiful and spacious home. If you want to relax , this is the house to do it. Beautiful views. The house has was much larger than I expected which explained why the cleaning fee was higher than usual. Host was very nice and accommodating. The house was well supplied with amenities.

Allana was very easy to work with. Always answered back quickly no matter the time. Open concept and everyone was able to be together. It was a rainy stay so had to be inside. No one minded. Nicely set up for games or conversations. Thank you so much!!

Our group of 6 has a great time at the home! The backyard is beautiful and has plenty of seating. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool because it was a bit chilly for May, but would be GREAT in the summer! Would definitely return!

Jim’s place was an absolute gem for my inaugural trip to Black Rock! The Loft is incredibly spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the meticulous cleanliness, attention to detail, and beautiful furnishings. Jim's communication was top-notch, making the entire experience seamless. One of the highlights was the extensive music collection, perfect for setting the mood during my downtime. The bed and furniture provided a level of comfort that made it hard to leave. Nestled on a serene, tree-lined street, the location couldn’t be better; it’s just a leisurely stroll away from delightful restaurants, charming shops, food markets, and more. I can’t wait to return for another stay whenever I’m in the area!

We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. The view of the water was everything and was accessible from nearly every room. The home was modern and easily accommodated our large group. Yet it was cozy and beautifully appointed with all the amenities you would ever want. It is ideal for children with every toy imaginable. There was a highchair and a pack and play for our toddler and child appropriate dishes. The kitchen was fully equipped and had 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers and 3 tables for dining. The beautiful pool and hot tub were in constant use. Mary is very thoughtful and assembled a ringed binder with important contacts and suggestions for dining, shopping and entertainment. Although there was no beach on the property there are nearby beaches. The towns of Guilford and (nearby) Madison are charming and well worth visiting. Mary was very accommodating and responded promptly to several inquiries.

We live in the neighborhood of Liz’s house and held a 3 day reunion of 17 old friends staying both in her place and ours. Yes, it’s even better than the pictures! Lots of large, spacious rooms for gathering, wonderful outdoor pool with tons of seating, exceptional kitchen where of course everyone tended to congregate. Am already thinking about a future large family gathering. Liz was a gracious, helpful and generous host. We can testify from long experience living a few houses away that the neighborhood, beaches and sound make a wonderful setting for a gathering. Very appreciative that Liz and family share their house with others this way.

We loved our stay! The private beach was perfect for our kiddos - far enough away from the water that they could play independently in the sand while we sat on the beautiful deck. The kitchen had all the items we needed (we even took a virtual cooking class while there). Dmitry was super responsive and helpful. The master bedroom was a beautiful place to watch the sunrise/sunset.

Great place; wonderful 2 bed place, clean, cosy and top end, one of the nicer places I've stayed. Alison was super easy to communicate with and the location was great for a Christmas break. Was very happy with everything!

We rented both apartments for a short weekend stay. We had plenty of space to hang out with 7 adults and 3 kids. The apartments were clean and well stocked. We were thankful for the beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels. We loved the easy access to the beach. The shallow water and sand bar were great for the kids to run and play. Great area! Thanks for the great stay!

Terrific stay in a great neighborhood.

La Sirena cottage was beautiful! It was clean, updated and beautifully decorated. We only stayed 2 nights but wish we had more time to enjoy the area. Monica was a fantastic host and very responsive. I highly recommend!!

We stay 4 weeks at Jacqueline place, everything was great, did not have any problem. Place is exactly fit the advertising if not better and everything was clean and working. We find place and the area is so peaceful and quiet. Perfect location for someone just looking for rest in very beautiful neighborhood. Jacqueline was very responsive, easy to communicate, helpful and polite. I would definitely stay again and recommend for anyone needs a place feels like home away home.

A house on the water in beautiful Milford, CT, this was a great place to stay during Easter break. Clean, well stocked and cozy, I'd recommend this place for a lovely beachfront getaway.

The beach house was a great place to be with our family. My boys loved going across the street to the beach. It was walkable to so many places, and short drive. Cozy space and awesome porch deck. Highly recommend staying here.
