Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Wealden District

Josh’s house was as described. Everything was spotless and had everything listed and that we would’ve needed. The location is slightly out of center but taxis are quick and cheap and walk was easy. Communication was quick and helpful. We met him on checking in and he was friendly and made everything super easy for our stay. Would definitely recommend and looking at booking next time I’m back.

We had a wonderful (albeit brief) stay at Jane’s beautiful home! The space was spotless, stylish, and so comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The pool was a real highlight, and we’re already looking forward to coming back and making the most of it next time. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned due to personal reasons, but Jane was incredibly understanding and kind about our situation. She was a fantastic host throughout—thoughtful, responsive, and welcoming. A special thank you for the delicious-looking marmalade waiting for us on arrival! We can’t wait to enjoy it at breakfast. Highly recommend Jane’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful and lovely escape. We hope to return soon!

Oak Cottage is a beautiful property with typical cottage feel and modern comfortable living features as seen in the pictures. Everything you needed was provided, with plenty of crockery, pans etc. a coffee machine, coffee pods a Cafetière, tea, including herbal teas & sugar all provided. There was milk, butter & bread in the fridge. Lovely details of Chocolates in a sweet tray on the dining room table and water bottles in the bedrooms. The bathroom and ensuite had hand soap and cream, shower gel, and plenty of towels were provided. Lorna was very helpful and responsive to our messages prior to our stay, we had no need to contact her during our stay. I would highly recommend Lorna & Oak Cottage.

Emily and Daniel were brilliant hosts and very easy to communicate with. Their home is beautiful and it was spotlessly clean too. Their pool area is stunning so if you get the weather it’s a really lovely space to enjoy. I would recommend this to anyone looking to spend time in this area, just be aware that the pool area is shared with their home. We were staying as did the Seven Sisters hike one day (40mins drive away). Thank you again for a lovely stay.

Exceeded our expectations despite being beautifully presented. They bought us a bottle of champagne for our birthday and were extremely flexible and accommodating. Loved our stay thank you Marta and team.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, we felt right at home. Dee and Jeff were exceptional hosts, very friendly and welcoming. They really do go the extra mile, as all the reviews say - to ensure we have a pleasant stay. The barn was everything I expected and more, you could see there were so many nice personal touches and preparation that went into making our stay as amazing as it was - from the complimentary breakfast (locally sourced), to the mobile charger and bottles of water by the bedside. Also, loved having access to Netflix and Prime! Will absolutely recommend and stay again, maybe in the Autumn/Winter time to take advantage of the log burner and fire pit outside!

We loved our stay at Chris’s place. Very cosy cottage with all the amenities you could need. Also delicious scones on arrival! We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay.

Thanks so much David & Donna for a wonderful stay. The location was brilliant for proximity to the beach which was perfect for the children. The games room, table football and board games made our time very enjoyable. We went out and about a lot enjoying lovely days out at Battle, Pevensey Castle and Herstmonceux castle plus also enjoyed lovely meals out. Our favourite restaurant was the Thai restaurant in Battle (wonderful and would highly recommend)! The house was also the best equipped of all the Airbnbs we have stayed in! Thx so much.

We had a really relaxing and comfortable stay at Annemarie’s place. The rooms were all perfectly clean and very homely. She made us feel so welcome with the thoughtful supplies provided. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to unwind in peace and quiet.

Such an amazing flat, beautifully decorated. Jasper left such clear instructions for everything. Loved the area of St Leonards. Would recommend to everyone!

Sofia was very friendly and responsive host. Her place stands out because of the interior - it looks just like the photos, very modern and comfortable, little things like scented corridors and side lights as you walk up the stairs make a difference. I stayed there with my two teenagers, and all three of us felt right at home.

We needed somewhere to stay while finding a place to live in London. The flat was excellent and well equipped for our needs. Great place to stay.

This is a lovely and comfortable place to stay set in superb countryside. The gardens and facilities are great, and my son and I particularly enjoyed playing on the pool table. It’s definitely a place to revisit and we would recommend it 100 percent.

The cabin was perfect for the couple of day's rest and recuperation that my partner and I needed. It is in a very quiet area with a lovely serene outlook. The weather was changeable but we were able to both sit out happily or cosy up indoors if necessary. The cabin was always warm without any need to use the heating. It was also spotless with a lovely hot rainfall shower. We didn't cook as there were lovely options to eat out locally, but the kitchen was well equipped if we'd wanted to. The absence of a TV was as liberating as we'd hoped and meant plenty of time for reading, games, time together and wildlife spotting. The appearance of the very tame local foxes at sundown was a real treat. We had a fantastic reset of our minds and bodies and were sad to leave but happy we'd chosen to stay.

Debbie was a great host from start to finish, super friendly and down to earth. The accommodation was great also, it had everything we needed and as described. We came to ride the local MTB trails and the location was perfect for it as well the accommodation. If your hiking you can do it straight from the accommodation to the local spots. Definitely would come back in the near future.

Beautiful tranquil space. We absolutely loved our stay, felt instantly at home as was so private and didn’t want to leave. Unfortunately the weather was hit and miss with the rain but we still managed to use all of the facilities. The bath outside was amazing never experienced that before. Loved seeing the horse and donkeys each day as they came up right by the gate and watching rabbits at night. Even saw two deer on the last morning. Loads of space to yourselves with the extra lake area which I imagine is so perfect when it’s hot and sunny. The bedroom was my favourite place to be surrounded by the trees outside so peaceful, saw robins and magpies from the window. We managed to light the outdoor fire the first night as was dry and even toasted marshmallows, so special. Truly a calm unique place to stay will be back again very soon!

It felt very homely and I loved the interesting and well considered bespoke decor. The bed was comfy and I slept well. It provided all I needed as accommodation. I'd recommend it and book again.

Absolutely brilliant Air BnB. Great location to visit Eastbourne, Brighton, Rye, Wakehurst etc though the track to it is pretty bumpy so not ideal if you are going out several times a day. However, we went out in the morning & back in the evening & it’s so quiet & peaceful when you are there, it didn’t bother us. Accommodation was exactly like the photos & was so well stocked e.g. welcome basket, milk, dish washer tablets, biscuits etc & they saved our bacon because we forgot dog bowls but there they were in the cupboard; absolutely brilliant 🤩 Extremely clean & beautifully decorated throughout with shampoo & shower gel included. Was made to feel really welcome & our little westie, Minnie, thoroughly enjoyed her week away as well. Probably one of the best Air BnBs we have ever stayed in. Will definitely return when we next visit Sussex 😊😊

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin over the Easter weekend. Groombridge is a lovely, tucked away area and the cabin feels very remote and peaceful. Christopher made us feel very at home and I cannot recommend the pizza more! Perfect dough recipe. Comfortable sleeping and spacious for 7. Highly recommend ⭐️

Really lovely cabin and location, perfect stay for us and two dogs with the enclosed garden really convenient for this. Very clear instructions on how to find and so peaceful and a great short walk into the forest. Would love to return again soon.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The space is really well laid out and thoughtfully put together — it felt very comfortable and easy to settle into. The bed was genuinely one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, which made a big difference. Check-in was smooth and easy to coordinate, and everything was exactly as described. The bathroom was spotless, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need in terms of cutlery and utensils. Joe was a great host, friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience really straightforward. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We loved our stay at Hop Pickers Retreat. The pod itself was clean and tidy with plenty of room for 2 guests. The kitchen was very cute and we loved the outside facilities like the lounge and picnic table. The hot tub was a bonus however we did struggle to keep it warm (likely user error!) would 100% recommend this location and would love to stay again. Thanks for making a 30th birthday weekend enjoyable. X
