Farmstay holiday rentals in Watauga County

We had a great stay at the Plumtree Cabin, it was nice to journey through the mountains and find ourselves in a private Cabin next to a farm. We were also welcomed by a family of 7 deer each night of our stay. Very affordable and comfortable cabin. Will definitely keep in mind for future travels.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! First off the privacy and the view was spectacular. We were greeted by the cutest dogs! We were able to rest and enjoy the fire pit while lying on the hammock. And the host took us around to see his goats, horses and dogs! It was so enjoyable! I will recommend it to anyone who needs to escape from the city life!

This by far the best place we have stayed in the last few years. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated. Had everything we needed. Morning came with a symphony of birds and sounds from the cows in the neighboring farm. Nighttime brought a chorus of tree frogs. The beds were comfortable the kitchen stocked and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Close to fishing and hiking. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Our stay in Sugar Grove was absolutely perfect for our son’s App State graduation; it was close enough to campus but also a world away. The house was cozy, but had plenty of room for everyone, and the surroundings were peaceful. We availed ourselves of the well-appointed kitchen, the numerous books in the house, and the lovely fire pit. Everyone had a great time and Jackie was very helpful with any questions. My mother-in-law even requested that we stay there again some day. Thank you!

Even though it was a short stay for us, I can’t say enough positive things about our experience. Simon’s hospitality was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. This is our second time staying at one of Claudia's cottages. Always a nice get away and be peaceful. Claudia is a great host. The power went out and right away, she messaged us stating she contacted the power company. I highly recommend Claudia's place. We will definitely come back.

Our stay at the Yeehaw Lodge for an extended weekend getaway was amazing and the view of Grandfather Mountain from the cabin was absolutely stunning! The cabin was exactly as described and very well stocked. Liz's instructions were clear which made check in and check out a straightforward process. We look forward to booking a stay at the Yeehaw Lodge in the future.

Fantastic hosts every friendly quick to respond, we had a fantastic time loved the wagon unique stay very clean . We will be back and recommending to our friends and family !

Lovely home in a pretty setting right outside Banner Elk. Home is quiet, comfortable and just as advertised. We loved hanging out on the wrap around porch. Michael was very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back.

Kapil’s home was lovely. Accommodated all of us, 3 generations with ease. Plenty of room inside for all ages. Inside and out. Convenient to nearlyby places. Wonderful visit. Very quiet and pieceful. Enjoyed fire pit on our final night.

Awesome location right near blowing rock. Great layout both indoor and outdoor for a family and friends trip. Ziggy was a great host, we look forward to coming back

Connie’s place a hidden gem and we adored staying here. It is the coolest “glamping” experience ever and my spouse and I will definitely be coming back for a longer stay!

Very cute place to stay! Attached to the owners property but still secluded away. Perfect for my boyfriend and I who just wanted some peaceful sleep between hiking and seeing family! Would recommend!

Absolutely wonderful little place! Great stay for a couple and their pup! Bedroom: comfortable king size bed! Very roomy for a 1b1b apartment! Bathroom: the walk-in shower has beautiful green tile and bench! It is not really pictured in listing but it’s absolutely adorable! Living room: cute and comfy couch!! Kitchen: has everything you need for basic cooking! Plus a very nice grill outside! Patio: has a private hot tub and great seating for morning coffee with a view! Overall, the place was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted/needed. It was spotless when we arrived and we had no issues checking in. Highly recommended booking! We have stayed on this area in the past but this house is a new favorite. It’s so comfortable and the home is great for entertaining your family. So many great “extras”. Well stocked with amenities. We loved the coffee bar and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. We enjoyed hiking and kayaking at Wautaga Lake. We hope to return next year:)

Came up for a golf trip and Rick’s place was the perfect stay, will be staying again in the future!

This really is the PERFECT place to unwind and have a nice, slow, relaxed getaway. This was my second stay at the cottage but this time with the whole family. We spent our days walking and playing on the property, petting the cats and dogs, and sitting by the bonfire at night. The beds are super comfy...so comfy that I (accidentally) slept in every morning we were there :) We were all impressed with how cozy the cottage is and how well equipped it is as well. The state park nearby is worth a visit - we went on a short 4 mile hike that shows off a couple amazing scenic lookouts.

This was a favorite Airbnb. When you think of everything you can imagine provided. It was!!!! So beautifully decorated. Everything cozy to make you feel right at home. Clear instructions on how to use everything was so helpful. A beautiful new deck that overlooked the mountains with incredible views. A goody basket was provided...so thoughtful. Everything was absolutely perfect. Oh...comfortable beds, great linens, soft towels etc. Definitely hope to visit again soon.

10/10 Beautiful, clean, private home in Valle Crusis. Our favorite part was the idyllic views from the back porch! Hosts were extremely communicative. Be aware you have to take your trash to the local recycling center (it's close to the property).

Yvonne’s farmhouse is absolutely amazing! Exactly as described and was surrounded by beauty! It took me back in time when I grew up in Boone. Beds were very comfortable, couches and chairs were amazing, as well! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed! The farm fresh eggs, juice and milk (along with all the goodies on the bar) was such a sweet and thoughtful touch to this already amazing home! We had such a wonderful time here! Thank you so much for being an absolute amazing host!! 10 plus stars! ⭐️✨ ✨ 💜🤍

This cabin was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a long weekend trip. Rina was very responsive to questions and was flexible with check-in time as we were traveling across the state. The amenities were great and we made use of the outdoor grill, dining space as well as the fire pit. Thanks for a wonderful experience in our first Air B&B!
