Trainmaster's Inn - Caboose

LisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved the oudoor area (which had both a grill and smoker -- and firepit), where we sat to watch the goings on in the train yard. The caboose was charming and well-equipped for breakfast - coffee, sweetners and half/half were provided, and there was a toaster, microwave, and a few pans and silverware/dishes. We ate dinners at the Steaming Tender and Russo's Lakeside and were thankful for the microwave for reheating leftovers. The smores kits and earplugs were such a nice touch. Like other reviews mention, the bathroom and bunks are a bit smaller, but we didn't mind - we're both hobbits and to us, this was part of the caboose ambiance. The thing that surprised us was how quiet it was. Other than the occasional train yard activity, it was VERY quiet, and a very relazing spot. Such an interesting place for a weekend - we'll have to come back! Thank you so much for hosting us!

This place is really pretty! Very comfortable & beautiful views. We felt like we had PLENTY of room! We had 6 adults. We were 1 hour outside of Boston & the drive was not bad at all. We drove there every day and back without problem!! I highly recommend this air bnb! It was perfect. Very responsive & helpful host with great recommendations for us!

Perfect for a get away. Everything looks beter than the pictures. Clean and very comfortable. Laurie is an excellent host, very creative to make us feel comfortable. Next time I need a place to stay in Connecticut, I hoop this one is available.

I cannot say enough how exceptional Ana’s suite is! In addition to being even more than listed, Ana is an awesome host~ she has ensured that I have everything I need during my extended stay, and I will be forever grateful for the safe home-away-from-home Ana has provided via her B&B. 🙏🏼🌈

Artist Common

ColleenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Quiet and comfy space! Plenty of room for our group with the bunk beds. The kitchen was great and had everything you might need to prepare a meal. There is coffee and a coffee maker. Full fridge and freezer, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave. Lots of dishes and cooking items. The bathroom has a washer and dryer, and there was some laundry detergent. The tub and shower were nice and the water very hot. Plenty of towels. My older mom had a little bit of a hard time going down the steps into the space, and getting into the shower. So that is my only advice if you need an accessible space, this would be a challenge. The artistic decor and touches are awesome!! We had a great time attending my daughter’s graduation from Mount Holyoke, and did some sightseeing. Faves this trip were the Emily Dickinson museum and we drove up to the Summit of Mount Holyoke. Highly recommend both!! Thank you for providing us with a nice home away from home!
