Waterfront holiday rentals in Viseu District

We rented the entire floor for 5 people: 3 double bedrooms, a kitchen with a closed terrace, and two bathrooms. The apartment is very functional, well maintained and well located. We recommend it!

Peace on the water (at the end of the world) The accommodation was only found after a telephone inquiry, although there are only a few buildings in the village. This is VERY secluded, if you want to stay longer, you should shop well. There were only two cafes and one (closed) restaurant there. The nearest store is about a 1/2 hour drive away. However, it would also be possible to arrive by train. However, it is fantastically beautiful, right on the river, and the traffic of ships, trains and cars can almost be counted. I particularly liked the surroundings with the many flowers, the access to the water and the many seating and lounging options outdoors, both in the shade and in the sun. If you want to take a boat trip, you don't have to go away, the host also does such. You can also rent boats from him, and he gave us tips for fishing. The accommodation is worth its price, is well equipped and there is also parking in the shade. Many thanks to all

This is a lovely apartment with parking and elevator. The view from the balcony is stunning! Maria was very sweet and helpful. We had difficulty finding the location and Maria and I did not speak the same language so she had someone call me back that spoke English to help me find the location and answer any questions. Great location, great apartment. highly recommend :)

Fernando was a welcoming host, and even shared a 50 year old Porto with us. The house is a true gem, filled with antiques, and everything modern that subtly goes along with that. It was comfortable, the beds had the best linens, it was clean, and bright. The view and surroundings of the duoro Valley and the towns could not have been better. I wish to return if we ever come back to this beautiful area.

Delightful spacious place. A bit remote, but also nice and quiet. Everything present. Friendly owners. And delicious oranges from the tree for fresh juice! From here, you can quickly reach the Douro valley.

Andre's place is in a great location in the Douro Valley. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Casa de Manteigas is a perfect base to explore the fabulous Serra Da Estrela. Deceptively spacious, very comfy bedrooms and plush new bathrooms. The balcony means that you can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cup of tea and enjoy views over the village. We would highly recommend and plan on returning.

Very cute little house on the edge of the Rio, converted into a mill, it's rustic but at the same time everything has been arranged and thought out to have a good time, with all the possible comforts (and even games available, a coffee machine etc). There is plenty of space to put yourself, although the house is very dark as it is in old walls, but the garden is simply beautiful. Between the sound of the stream that passes below the terrace, the flowers and the deckchairs to settle in, we were in paradise! Everything was clean and in place for our arrival. The house is right next to a bridge and we went for a walk around it was really nice. A very nice restaurant is 2 minutes' drive from there for a more chic atmosphere that is also enjoyable! Linhares da Beira and the surrounding area is a beautiful place to visit. The villa is perfect- well worth the money spent! Comfortable beds and everything you need in the kitchen. We braved the pool even though the weather was a bit cold for the time of year. Thanks to Linda and Helena for everything.

I enjoyed staying. From the location to the stylish furnishings it was what I was looking for. Although quiet in regards to food offerings there were two local eateries and a cafe. All I needed! Being close to the river I spend mornings with coffee and evenings with a glass of wine along the waterside. A (large) supermarket is only a short 15 minute drive allowing me to use the well equipped kitchen. I don’t hesitate to recommend Casa Douro!

This was easily one of the best places we have found here! The house is so cute and the land and the river around it so peaceful and beautiful! We swam in the river, walked around in the nature finding wild strawberries, enjoyed the space, the privacy, and the quiet. So many extra touches like art materials for the kids, a guitar to play, games, and more. Adelaide was a great host, she took us out to the land and showed us some of the secret spots to hang around in. She was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely love to come back some day!!

We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the time in Maureles. Friendly host and good support with questions. Quiet location and amenities as described. Ideal for excursions in the area (vehicle required). Less suitable for hikes/walks directly from the villa.

We had a wonderful time at Dulce's: everything was perfect: the calm, the nature, the animals, the typical house, the amenities ( swimming pools, tennis court, ping pong, pétanque, mini golf, horseback riding ) and especially the extreme kindness of Dulce and her husband... they are great people with whom we were able to exchange and we will never thank Dulce enough for his little touches: fresh eggs, soups, homemade cakes and ice cream offered to our children! You can go to this peaceful retreat without a second thought!!

Simply a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views, an infinity pool, lovely cottage with great views, quiet and private. Marta was extremely helpful and kind. Perfect for unwinding after Lisbon and Porto visits. Roman road outside the back door and made for a lovely walk up into the hills. We were lucky to be there when raspberries were ripe and we were encouraged to pick some for breakfasts. Well equipped kitchen and fresh sweet oranges from their orchard. Tip: Consider buying groceries before arriving. Closest supermarket is in Cinfaes 8 km away. But the bonus is after you shop you can eat at Sabres o Memorias. Great food and friendly staff. Highly recommend if you want a quiet place to stay. If we are ever back in the Douro valley area we know where to stay!

We had a great stay at Catarina’s apartment with 5 adults and a baby - it is spacious and well-equipped. The apartment is close to town (just down the hill) and good value. Like others, we found parking in the space challenging but there was always available street parking just 100m away. We had assumed the listed paid laundry would be in the building, but this referred to a laundromat a few hundred metres away in the town. Thank you Catarina for a lovely stay!
