We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. Beautiful, clean, calm and quiet space. From the house, to the garden, to the pool and the magnificent unobstructed view, everything is wonderful. I recommend it 500%. Pedro was a fantastic host who provided detailed airport directions, transportation advice, and was incredibly responsive throughout. He personally welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect - peaceful and quiet, exactly what we hoped for. The pool was amazing with stunning views and a natural feel that made it truly special. A delightful surprise was fresh bread from the local bakery delivered to our door each morning. When we requested additional bread, Pedro generously provided extra at no charge, showcasing his wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a thoughtful host, serene location, and beautiful amenities. Already looking forward to returning with my family!

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Delightful spacious place. A bit remote, but also nice and quiet. Everything present. Friendly owners. And delicious oranges from the tree for fresh juice! From here, you can quickly reach the Douro valley.

My young daughter and I stayed with Maria for two nights. The experience was absolutely incredible. The photos do not fully capture the stunning beauty of the gardens and the surrounding landscape. We felt like we were in a fairy tale. Maria was so kind to provide us with breakfast foods in the fridge with breads we could bake ourselves so they would be warm and fresh and all sorts of coffee, juice and tea. The space itself was beautifully decorated with antique furniture pieces and artwork. We still had the convenience of very fast internet which was great! The bathroom was super clean and modern, the bedroom was spacious and had everything we needed. I cannot wait to find the opportunity to come back and stay in one of the most magical places I have ever been!! Thank you Maria!!

Very clean accommodation, peaceful environment. Lianne and her husband are friendly and welcomed us. The kids loved the pool.
