What a fantastic airBnB experience! Beautiful home, just as described. Peaceful location at the end of a dead end street next to incredible rock formations. Chelsea was proactive, response, friendly etc.. all of the things you hope for in a host. Would absolutely recommend.

The stay we had in our earthship was life changing! It was nice to unplug from our busy lives and appreciate how nature relates to us. This concept is such a great idea! We loved sitting out back at night and watching the stars. It was such a clear and lovely sky without any light pollution interfering. It was only a ten minute drive to the rio grande gorge bridge. We watched the sunset there.

Really enjoyed my two nights at Spafford’s dome. It was really peaceful, comfortable and spacious (for one). Highly recommend.

Truly incredible and unique place to stay. If you’re in the area you don’t want to miss this stay. It was only 15 minutes from Taos and yet very secluded and private. Given that it is an underground home made of adobe you can expect a bit of dust and a few friends with more than four legs. I will also say the shower ran out of hot water very quickly. Still would highly highly recommend.

A perfect getaway just a few minutes from Taos on a beautiful sage-covered mesa. Easy access to Taos Pueblo and the town. Inside we found everything needed for cooking, coffee maker, great coffee, 1/2 & 1/2, oranges, a lovely greeting on the chalkboard. It has a sound system with Bluetooth—you can stream your own music—or choose from an eclectic collection of CDs—not to mention books. TV with Roku if needed. Outside, the sunken and very private patio faces south toward a garden area that attracts birds—also great place for evening cloud gazing or late night star gazing. Hiking trail is located out back. Read about the other amenities, they are all there!

This place is gorgeous. We visited for a surprise birthday party and have considered making this an annual trip. We felt safe having our kids explore, which there was plenty to explore! The trails are well kept, the bridge is so cute, and the waterfall is so relaxing. We walked the trail several times. The fruit orchard is great. My kids LOVED walking around and eating fruit and collecting eggs. The weather wasn’t the most friendly, but we enjoyed the variety of available games in the kitchen area and had a great time. We had enough firewood to burn wood for 2 nights. It’s a great venue.

The house is full of character and the garden is well maintained and charming. Walkable to Old Town where we had a wonderful dinner at Antiquity and listened to music in the town square.

Such a cool place! We loved all of the creative and thoughtful touches. Exploring the stargazing tower and taking the treasure walk made it extra fun for our 12-year-old.

We so enjoyed our stay a Terra Cottage! My 7 year old said it was the best Airbnb ever! I really enjoyed the courtyard mornings with Thomas playing guitar, and the calm and peaceful evenings. Being dog friendly was a huge plus for our family. Everything was stocked as Sean said, the record player and TV access was a great bonus. I loved having a fully stocked kitchen to use and cook in. There is not a lot in town grocery or restaurant wise, but with our own planning we had everything we needed and more! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Amanda and Dan have an amazing location with a view that can’t be beat! It is peaceful and tranquil with all the amenities you might need. The bed is super comfy and the outdoor space is abundant. They provided a good balance of privacy and friendliness and are accommodating—going above and beyond to help even with an unusual request we had. Would absolutely recommend this property to others!

We had a wonderful stay! The space is beautifully curated with charming vintage furniture and decor—every corner felt thoughtfully designed. We especially loved the cozy fireplace and the stunning view. At night, it gets peacefully quiet, with the sound of frogs adding to the atmosphere. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and made for a perfect way to wind down. While the stay is on the pricier side, and guests are expected to tidy everything up clean dishes and take out the trash at this price point, we didn’t mind too much. it was worth it for a nice experience.

We had a wonderful stay. We were looking for somewhere peaceful and secluded. The house was very comfy. We slept well in the bed. The bathroom was awesome. I really liked all the big windows in the bathroom. It was a really a different experience to take a warm shower with a beautiful view. I loved it!! The first night, We lit the pit by the hot tub. And it REALLY warmed up the water. It was too cold outside by the time it was ready so we didnt get in. We'll plan it better next time. The second night, we BBQ'd and we had everything we needed for the grill. Lucas really thought of everything. We will definitely be back when it's a little warmer at night so we can appreciate the dark sky and beautiful stars.

Had a wonderful stay and everything was well communicated. The environment is beautiful with a great sunset view. The space itself was clean, fun and loved all the nice LOTR touches. Host was accommodating to our needs. There was no hot water but we were told in advance with fair compensation. Would stay here again! We are sorry we missed the llamas!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here for our mini-moon! The scenery was fantastic, the accommodations were a Tolkein fan's dream, and the food was absolutely delicious - we enjoyed the shire-cuterie board we ordered, as well as all of the second breakfasts. Lael was also super responsive and attentive throughout our stay. As a bonus, we were able to visit Lassen Volcanic National Park without too long of a drive :) We hope to return in the future!

We had a wonderful time staying at Katherine's Airbnb! It was a very cool and unique experience to stay in a completely self-sustaining Earthship, and the surrounding area was gorgeous. The house was extremely clean and Katherine was responsive and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay here while we did some hiking at Shenandoah. We heard Marlan turned a junk yard the beautiful places shown in the photos. He met us right outside and explained about ongoing construction of another “hobbit home” nearby. He was very willing to help if needed. Know that there are multiple “hobbit homes” in one area, but they are separated fairly well. We had no issues with privacy. Saw many spiders inside. Had a lovely view of a deer in the morning right outside. Also option for a small fire, though we didn’t have time for that unfortunately.

What a wonderful stay! The place was cozy, clean, and even more beautiful than the photos. Nicole was kind, thoughtful, and made us feel right at home. Everything we needed was there. We’d happily stay again!

Kate and Rick were amazing hosts and Earth Horse definitely deserves its 5 star ratings. My fiancé came to OK from Chicago to get away and visit family. It ended up being the best trip we have taken together. The home is immaculately clean and beautifully unique. The space is so open and comfortable but the smell of the home each time I walked it it was like walking into a day spa. Right next door is a cafe/store which has great smoothies but so much more. It was much comfort and serenity. So needed. This will definitely be a place we return soon.

My friends and I had a fabulous time staying here over the holiday weekend. The home and its decor was stunning and the view from the backyard was absolutely breathtaking. We really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge. I would definitely consider coming back for a return visit.
