Family-friendly holiday rentals in Umpqua River

My wife and I loved our short stay at Joseph and Radmila's place! It was a beautiful (kind of) secluded area that is a wonderful alternative to your typical hotel. They were proactive with their instructions and it was all very clear. The space is wonderful and it was so interesting to pick up a random law book from the late 1800s to see what cases were about back then!

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful little perfect cottage in the perfect area. We loved how cozy this cottage is. Just the perfect size for two of us. Our hosts Jackie and Ed were wonderful, responded in a reasonable time frame, if we needed anything. Jackie even provided a crock pot for us after asking if one was there. Very glad to have found this place. I believe we will be back if it’s available the next time we are in Grants Pass. It was very close to our family as well. Bonus points there!! The nicest dog-friendly home we’ve ever stayed in! Lots of sweet extras for our dogs, securely fenced yard, and everything people could need or want too! Extremely well supplied, even found a band-aid when I needed one. Also, Danielle was so kind and answered every message immediately! We would highly recommend this place. Perfect for visiting your student at UO! Go Ducks!

We love this lakehouse. It's a prime location for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding or swimming. Kids loved fishing off the dock and caught lots of fish. House works well for multiple families staying together and host/ local caretaker were super flexible with us. Be aware the 3 rentals on this property all share the dock and lakefront space. Not a problem for us, everyone is quiet and friendly.

Wow, what a great experience. The home was just as described, so cozy and comfortable. We were able to settle in as soon as we checked in. My grandkids loved playing in the lower level and in the beautiful open spaces. The hosts were the most gracious and welcoming. They invited us all into their music room which was an experience all its own. We learned a lot and had fun too! We had a blast! Friendly hosts would be an understatement! We were overwhelmed by their generous, kind spirits. We have already been talking about returning this year.

I really enjoy staying here; I will definitely continue to book this Airbnb. The location is great. Neighborhood is friendly and safe. The restaurants are nearby affordable and delicious. The host is awesome and helpful. I am new to Eugene and this was a perfect place to stay as my first introduction to town.

We had a great experience staying here as our home base for our coast trip and golf at Bandon Dunes. We loved being right on the beach and found Khamsey was very communicative and accommodating. Would def recommend and will be back if our plans take us back to Bandon.

Pieter was an incredible host—responsive, accommodating, and genuinely kind. From the moment we arrived, he made sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed. The space itself was spotless, smelled amazing, and the sheets were pristine—which we truly appreciated. It was comfortable, cozy, and felt like a home away from home. The location was also ideal, close to everything we needed. What truly set Pieter apart was his kindness. When we accidentally left our iPad behind, he went out of his way to take time out of his weekend to meet us at a restaurant and return it. That level of thoughtfulness meant so much to us. Highly recommend Pieter as a host—thank you again for everything!

Joy's Elk River home is amazing! I've never met such a nice, generous, helpful host. Her place is spacious and well-equipped, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Joy knows an enormous amount about the geography and wildlife in the area, and she gave us a great restaurant tip. We drove from San Diego to Seattle, hiking all along the way, and her place was the nicest by far.

A beautiful little place with comfortable beds, modern kitchen and fully fenced backyard. This place is on a pretty busy small street but is easy to pull in and pull out of a large driveway.

Valerie’s place is great! Our second visit was just as good as the first.

Peaceful , everything was up to snuff. Everyone enjoyed the eclectic art and watching the dogs run across the back field. Good host response. My bed was comfortable and water pressure was good.

Matty was a wonderful host with such a whimsical, creative vision for his cottage. Port Orford is such a beautiful, windy coastal town with interesting, friendly people. Matty’s cottage is right next to two beautiful beaches which is helpful for scurrying home when the wind picks up. We were able to make a variety of meals with the amenities provided in the kitchen, the cast iron and stock pot were very helpful for chicken soup and steaks! A true gem!

Delightful rustic cottage in a private environment. Delighted in leaving the hustle and bustle and trappings of a busy world down in the valley. Serviceable wifi, and Netflix for entertainment was great. Bit of a climb up to the loft, but comfortable bed, and the view and cross breeze from the window was great. There were three fans but we didn't even need them. Fully equipped kitchenette was very sufficient and the microwave and refrigerator made it so we didn't even need the hot plate, or outdoor bbq or camp stove. But we love the deck so much, we will plan to grill next time . Hosts were great with recommendations for wineries and restaurants, and very with communications. Thank you so much!

The cabin and its front porch are really nice and equipped with everything which we needed. In the nearer surrounding, there are several waterfalls and even hot springs to be discovered.

Candy and John are delightful people and attentive hosts. Great, basic little studio. Lots of spices and other basics in the kitchen. Established herb garden too. They even have snacks for people in the laundry room! The yard is an oasis on the hill overlooking the port of Charleston. Beautiful gardens, lovely view and lots of cute wildlife. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Candy and John!

The Shed is a cute little joint built into the side of their garage. Not much more in size than a hotel room or a studio apartment, but that's all I needed! Cute, cozy, clean and pristine.

This was our second stay at Amy and Jason’s wonderful Airbnb. We love everything about it! It is quiet, extremely nicely designed and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and there is a sweet picnic table in a private space where you can eat if the weather is good. Amy and Jason are great communicators and always reply to messages promptly. We will definitely be back!

As all previous reviews have observed, the privacy and the unique situation of the house at the very edge of the dune system is the attraction of the place. You have the sense of being at the meeting point of nature and the world as we have made it with all the the comforts of the modern world. It feels like home at the moment of entry, and invites quiet with the distant ocean sounds. We especially enjoyed the very nicely appointed kitchen as well as the collection of CDs as we let go of usual routines.

Great location. Easy to find and easy check in. Lots of great space and amenities. Walkable restaurants. We had a wonderful stay.

Cute little place with three beds. If you don't like bugs this is not the place for you, the place is attached to a garage and is out near the woods, bugs are expected. Be sure to bring your own coffee creamer (they supplied the k-cups). Bea was friendly and very accommodating.

Ann's place is the perfect retreat for those looking for a quiet location but close to many city activities plus great hiking trails. This was our second stay at Ann's place and we have another month booked later this summer. we highly recommend Ann's retreat.
