Holiday rentals with a kayak in Texas

Sara's property on the Llano is great. We celebrated a family weekend here - from the house to river, it had everything needed to have a really great time. This property is conveniently located between Llano and Castell if anything is needed.

Just book it. I have to brag on Ashley; she is absolutely AMAZING. I told her that I was booking her place for a Ladies Retreat and that I will be making brunch on Sunday. Not only did Ashley get us an extra twin bed to make sure that everyone was comfortable, but she also got us additional serving platters to make sure my brunch was perfect. Excellent communication from beginning to end. During our stay, a very bad storm came in and we lost power. When we woke up trees and powerlines were down. Ashley came to house with a cooler with ice for us because she knew we had a lot of food from the brunch. She also brought us some batteries, fans and flashlights. During the power restoration process, she kept up updated with status and made sure we were ok the entire time. Because of the storm, she also extended a late check out to our group. I highly and undoubtable recommend staying at Ashley's place. You will NOT regret it. It's clean, beautiful and the LAKE. Two thumbs up. Thanks Ashley.

The Airbnb accommodated our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room for us to have fun and stretch out. The kids loved the game room. We love the big entertainment room. The dock was perfect for my daughter‘s fiancé‘s boat. A good size boat. The pool was nice and perfect for our size. We will definitely try this again someday.

Jessica was flexible, communicated regularly and went above and beyond to be accommodating and meet our needs. She was so kind, and her place was perfect for a lake weekend! Definitely would stay again.

We LOVED this place. My family and I had a great time with all the amentias we had just at the Airbnb alone. It was everything and more. Sergio was a great host! We also took advantage of the limo service to a concert, and it was amazing! The house was so clean and the location was great. It's only about a 20 minute drive to get to downtown Dallas. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was exactly as advised and Cynthia was a wonderful host. We had a wonderful time at the house and at the river and Cynthia brought us some cookies on a last day by the river. What a wonderful home and property to share with visitors. Thank you!

Brenda and Paul were very friendly, helpful and professional. They are Christian and I felt comfortable in their home. Worship on the deck area by the water was so peaceful and comfortable. We woke each morning, set outside and watched the lake. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay on the lake. The house is very spacious and charming. Big windows provide beautiful views of the lake. It is nicely stocked, stores are in very close proximity. Amanda was very honest about the immediate neighborhood leading to the property, however, we never felt unsafe. We enjoyed spending time outside and it was always very quiet and peaceful. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our pup. We enjoyed floating in the lake, but unfortunately, the winds were quite strong on most days during our stay. Note: The kayaks are sit-in/hull shape. If you prefer the sit-on style for more stability, you may feel little “wobbly”. Restaurants are ok. We prefer to cook, so we only tried a couple of them. Perhaps just bad luck. We decided to book an excursion on the lake and booked with George Spann. Highly recommend if you are not interested in renting a boat and prefer to be chauffeured for a relaxing sunset cruise. This lake is definitely a hidden gem!

My stay at this cottage was exactly what I thought it would be. It was peaceful, clean, and quiet. I only wish I had more time to fish in what looks like the perfect spot off the backyard.

The Lazy River cabin was a perfect little getaway for my daughter and I. Pros: It was spotless, comfortable, quiet, peaceful, kayaking was fun, fire pit was great, everything was exactly as described. The location was perfect- secluded, but still very close to Waco and all it has to offer. Cons: No smart TV and the dish didn’t work, the ladder to get upstairs would be difficult for older people and impossible for someone with physical limitations.

We can’t say enough about this place. It was just what we needed for rest and relaxation. We are Airbnb hosts ourselves and really needed a close little weekend getaway. It definitely fit the bill. We will most definitely be back.!!!

Tina displayed everything even better than the pictures are advertised! Beautiful backyard with lots of room to hang out and enjoy a gorgeous lakefront sunset! It’s hard to leave the house with how entertaining it is!

Nice Place. Tough and difficult for travelers to haul luggage across a long lawn without a walkway- but the cottage and location makes up for it.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this beautiful little cottage over memorial weekend. The cottage is small but so well laid out that actually there’s loads of space and can sleep a family of 4-6 people easily. We enjoyed being by the river, the nice big lawn (we brought a slip n slide) and its nice and quiet but still close to Gruene and New Braunfels. We had a great time. And the cottage is so beautifully decorated and attention to detail to everything. Loved it. Highly recommend it and the hosts were super helpful but we didn’t really need anything.

The home was absolutely incredible—spacious, spotless, and tucked away in a beautiful, private setting with plenty to do nearby. Sherry was an outstanding host—communicative, helpful, and incredibly understanding. This AirBnB had everything you could possibly need or want, plus a few thoughtful extras you wouldn’t even think of. I genuinely have no complaints. The only minor hiccup was finding the right house at first—the side facing the street wasn’t the front entrance, which threw me off a bit. But the locals were amazing and really helped us out, even sharing info on local events. If you’re looking for a peaceful lake getaway, this place is a hidden gem—and for the price, it’s hard to beat. I’d absolutely come back!

This was our 2nd stay at this Airbnb, and once again, the experience was outstanding. The host, Kristin, a Superhost for good reason, maintained the same high standards that made our first visit so memorable. The space was pristine, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared with all the essentials—and then some. It’s evident that the host pays great attention to detail and genuinely cares about their guests’ experiences. It felt great to return to a place that combines comfort, style, and reliability in such a seamless way. What truly sets this stay apart is the consistency and care the host provides. Throughout our stay, the host went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and supported, even offering local recommendations that made a real difference in our trip. The neighborhood was peaceful and conveniently located, which made it easy to explore and relax. Woodland Escape exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would not hesitate to book again.

Third time renting and I always enjoy staying here to get away for a weekend and get some fresh air and sun. River was higher than normal and we took advantage of it. Wildlife is abundant, a pair of owls graced us with their presence each evening once the sun went behind the trees. Perfect trip.

Sharon was a very gracious host even brought us cookies which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. The area and the place was absolutely beautiful. It was very peaceful. We were there for a wedding at High Point Estates and it was close to the venue my favorite part of the whole cabin stay was the zebra and donkey named stripes and stars. We were able to feed them and enjoy them also. This is a place that I will definitely book again.

Debra was the best host. The place was so relaxing. We enjoyed the pier, kayaks and fishing. We will definitely revisit. 😊

Words can't describe this stay. Bring right on the river, kayaking, swimming, the sheep/donkey/goats and the fire pit were just what we needed to unwind and detach from city life. Incredible stay, and we will definitely be back.

Always great to stay at this place! We have used the cottage several times for extra guests to our lake place. Very convenient and private.

Look no further!! My family and I have stayed in several homes on this street, this one is by far the best. Leslie was very easy to work with, very accommodating, and very friendly. The house is perfect for a weekend getaway.

This place was just what we needed for our son’s birthday get away! Cabin was nice and clean, and was equipped with all the supplies we needed also very spacious! The lake and private dock were a huge plus! Spent the majority of our time down there swimming and fishing, we caught a good amount of fish. Brent was very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay here again!
