Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Te Waipounamu / South Island

Man wohnt quasi mitten in der Natur und der Blick über den Wald ist wundervoll. Hier wurde ein kleines Refugium geschaffen mit all den selbstgefertigten Holz- und Handwerksarbeiten. Respekt! Wir haben die Natur und das Haus sehr genossen. Der Weg zum Haus ist tatsächlich etwas steiler und die Warnung nur leichtes Gepäck mitzunehmen sollte ernst genommen werden, da es keinen Lastenaufzug für schwere Koffer gibt.

Das Haus ist sehr modern gebaut und eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber. Es war alles vorhanden was man braucht - Gewürze, Milch, Kaffee (Nespressokapseln). Die Unterkunft hat einen tollen Blick auf den Strand und das Meer. Einziger „Minuspunkt“, es wäre toll den Ausblick mit einem Grill und einer Terrasse im Garten noch mehr genießen zu können. So haben wir hinter einer großen Fensterfront mit französischen Balkon gesessen, was wiederum vorteilhaft ist wenn es kalt ist. Ein toller weitläufiger Strand zum spazieren, baden, surfen ist ca. 8 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung für den Cube

I can't say enough positive things about Big Heart Beach. We loved staying at this wonderful home with the sound of the waves out th back door and a view of the Southern Alps from the front. The house had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here a second time if or when I am lucky enough to visit the area again.

Kath and Steve gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and made us feel at home. The place was very comfortable and well stocked. The location is beautiful! All good. We'd love to come back.

Lovely stay. The outdoor bath was such a bonus. Clean house with comfy beds and everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Kathryn's house was exactly what we needed for a rest and recovery holiday. We stayed 10 days and were perfectly happy there for the entire time. Peaceful, stunning landscape. The drive into Arrowtown and Queenstown were quick and easy with the most breathtaking scenery that it was always a pleasure to drive and then return to the peace of Kathryn's airbnb. Loved meeting Cookie the dog and the goats and chickens at the end of the driveway. We loved the style of the house both architecturally and interior design. Loved having an open fire and sitting in the window seat. Thanks Kathryn.

This is undoubtably one of the best Air BNB places we have stayed. We felt at home and spent many an hour sitting at the window with the fire crackling - nice glass of red in hand of course. not much more to say except WOW. Thank you to Angela and her family for sharing their place with us

Oh where do I begin…Sararose and Jules family has the most charming apartment nested in an incredible mountain valley. But what touched my heart was how everything was designed and built in this apartment, and I really mean EVERYTHING. From the fully equipped and stocked kitchen to the cozy fire place, to the spotless bathroom, everything is thoughtfully placed and made by hand. Craftsmanship can be felt everywhere. It’s such a warm welcoming space inside out. The window seat is no joke, exactly as shown on the photos. Come here, you will find everything you will ever need, inside out.

Beautiful immaculate Loft barn apartment with views of the countryside out to the lake. Loved staying here as peaceful and so relaxing sitting with wood fireplace each evening. Lovely well appointed kitchen too. Favourite accommodation thus far in all NZ travels and wished it was a longer stay. Will definitely try to return and stay again. Highly recommend. Lucie is a great host who was friendly and responsive.

Love the ambience, incredible and convenient location with stunning views. The place was super cozy and had a very homey vibe. Toilet floors are heated which is something that we did not know we needed haha - mind blowing. This airbnb blew our expectations out of the water.

We had a fantastic 3 nights enjoying the views and character of Julie's place, very friendly with lots of locals tips and would definitely like to revisit with the family !

Very modern and cozy stay! Walked in and felt at home. The bed was very comfy and warm. Very peaceful and quiet in the evenings. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely mums stay at this accomodation, the host was great to deal with, we even got to check in slightly earlier than expected! The house was immaculate, it would be great in there was an iron available for use, and the two king beds were quite hard, but other than that it was a beautiful house, very warm on a very cold weekend with beautiful views!

Lovely place to spend a few days and use to either relax quietly or use it as a base to explore more of the Catlins from. I'd definitely recommend!

I stayed at David’s with my husband and mum and dad and it was perfect! Really spacious with comfy beds and lounge area and a view to die for. Catching the bus into town was only $2 and left from the end of the street, there were also restaurants and bars within walking distance which we loved. Recommend this place if you’re looking for a spacious and comfortable base to explore Queenstown from.

We loved our stay at Tom and Taya’s beautiful house. Our kids didn’t want to leave. We hope to come back for another visit in the future.

We have just come home from a fabulous 2 nights in Wainui at Caro's house. We were 7 Ladies. There was plenty of room for all of us and the beds were super comfy and warm. The weather was horrendous for our weekend, but that didn't matter at all. The views over the Akaroa Heads with the weather coming in was spectacular. Caro had lit the fire for us for our arrival which was very much appreciated. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a dining table in the kitchen area as well as the lounge room. The hydrangea's in the garden are beautiful. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back. We would love to arrange a summer vacation so we can sit out on the verandah in the sun.
