Holiday rentals with beach access in Te Waipounamu / South Island

Absolutely loved our stay, fabulous view and the apartment had everything we needed. One tiny suggestion would be a couple of reading lights by the bed. We had a great time exploring the area over our 3 day stay. Thank you George and family

We loved our stay at Caroline’s. Right across the road from the beach, private with amazing views. Beautiful bed linen and bathroom. Great local eating and drinking recommendations. Lovely host! Very hospitable and responsive to our comms about (unexpected) change of checkin time. Would love to come back and highly recommend to others.

My partner and I stayed in this beautifully appointed accommodation right across from the ocean, and it exceeded all our expectations. We loved watching the sunset over the beach just across the street—it was absolutely breathtaking, and we were even lucky enough to see a seal leaping through the waves. The space was much larger than it appeared in the photos and thoughtfully laid out for a truly relaxing stay.

The Airbnb is nice and pretty big with views of the bay. It has a lot of amenities that a lot of our other airbnbs didn’t have. It had a dedicated filtered water tap, a dryer (most Airbnb’s in NZ only have washers), electric blankets etc. Do note that the drive up to the home is relatively steep and on a gravel path, parking for a large vehicle would be quite tricky as well.

What a wonderful location and fabulous accommodation just as described. Easy to locate, with uncomplicated parking and access. Everything was available at the accommodation with little touches that had been carefully considered. The bed was comfortable with lovely linen and comfortable pillows. The view from the bedroom window and the small balcony , was just lovely and the whole space created a relaxed and enjoyable break. Thank you to Carolyn for great communication. Great location, loved the sea view while supping coffee.... super bonus was the little logfire, no need for the heatpump. Lovely apartment had everything you could ask for as well as all the pots & utensils required to cook as much or as little as you wanted. Great selection of books. David a great helpful host. Beautiful remote spot but also close enough to drive to Havelock if required. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay but our little one still enjoyed stomping in the rain and looking at the animals. Close to nice walking tracks.

An amazing spot - we had such a wonderful spot and you can watch the surfers all day from all the rooms and wake to the most glorious views of the sunrise A very special house

We absolutely adored staying at Te Awa Lodge on our recent trip to Wanaka. It was a gorgeous riverside home with an amazing hot tub and sauna, which we loved using after our hikes. Graeme and Carolyn were such warm, welcoming hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The property is easily accessible to Wanaka (10-15 min) and Mount Aspiring (1 hour) . Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

I can not rate this house more highly. It is so peaceful, with the most incredible views out every window! There was nothing better than waking up and looking out the window to the mountain range, and that evening having an incredible hot spa heated by a log fire. The house is rustic, with ever piece of furniture quirky and well chosen for the space. The bathrooms were spotless and the fire was lit ready for us when we arrived which we really appreciated. The beach is so close by, listening to the waves was my favourite thing. As a family, we absolutely adored our stay here.

Best view and a fabulous place to stay especially for five people and a baby. Plenty of baby gear which made life easier for travelling. Hot Tub was awesome especially with the colder weather we had. I would highly recommend Costa Ruby, it's just beautiful!

Beautiful place, stunning view and nice and tidy home. Shouted my partner for his birthday as we’d been a couple times before and this place never disappoints! Relaxed in the spa and watched the sunset. Perfect stay for a couple getaway or to bring family and friends. Look forward to staying here again ☺️

Very nice holiday home which is excellent for friend or family groups. Beautiful views & good facilities and very private. A wee bit of truck noise early mornings from close road. Great pub & restaurant a walkable distance. Clean & comfortable with some games & cards. Lots of walks & biking tracks, kayaking nearby. We went to Barrytown & made knives. Top activity. Definitely would stay again if we are with others.

We absolutely loved everything about staying here! It’s more like staying in a luxury hotel. I’ve rented a lot in NZ and especially in Picton. This by far the best place I’ve ever been in. The 5th floor views are mesmerizing from the kitchen, lounge , balcony and master BR. Comfy sofa with a nice TV. And the beds!! Heavenly. Even my grandkids commented on how well they slept and how much they loved the sheets. We could have spent all day watching the boats and ferries but did get out for some nice shopping and great meals. I highly recommend Oxley’s bar and restaurant downstairs. The food was great. We loved this apartment and would love to stay again! Rochelle was great.

Beautiful location, was ridable to the local MTB park and walkable to the beach. Short drive to Abel Tasman as well. Highly recommend!

Nice place nestled in the Monaco apartments. It has solid heating, good kitchen facilities and a nice little outdoor spot too. It’s a quiet and safe neighbourhood. Good walks and food spots nearby too.

Our favourite accommodation of our NZ trip, everything was excellent! I can't decide if my favourite feature was the super comfortable bed and linen, the heated bathroom floor or the sensor light for the bathroom! Carolyn was great with communication and very helpful. Highly recommended, we will definitely stay here if visiting this area again.

Excellent experience, Rochelle went above and beyond with a couple of small issues. She replaced a TV that failed to operate without any hesitation despite it being a public holiday. Thankyou again.
