We loved our stay at this guest house! It exceeded our expectations even from the photos - spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable, with attentive hosts. Sometimes the nearby hospital traffic and late evening restaurant/bar traffic were a little noisy, but overall it was peaceful and an INCREDIBLE location - walkable to so many things, including a convenient laundromat and cafes. About 15-20 minutes walking and we could get to the bus station, or Lake Shinji and the art museum, or Matsue Castle. The back deck was so relaxing overlooking the canal and boats going by. We loved eating our breakfast there, and the kitchen supplies & nearby stores made it easy to make eggs and toast. Beds were comfortable & we enjoyed waking up to sunshine. The host arranged to empty trash and refresh towels midweek, and even left a fun local snack for us - they were kind and responsive to every need. Highly recommend!!! (Also suggest 石川屋 at 3 Ishibashicho for a traditional fresh fish shop!)

We had a very good week in this spacious, clean and well-equipped house. The house is next to the onsen, which is within walking distance. The location of the house is very well placed to discover Izumo, Matsue and their surroundings. Our hosts have always been responsive and concerned about our comfort to each of our questions. We would recommend this listing.

The house is fully equipped and clean, because it is not an elevator building, only the entrance and exit of the stairs is a little small, just like we are 28 inches of luggage, we need to make a little effort to move in, the other amenities are very nice!

It was a fun and valuable stay, full of rich experiences. The building and its facilities are traditional, giving a sense of history, but it was wonderful to see that the space has continued to be used and developed to this day.An environment surrounded by lush trees and flowers, and the experience of manipulating fire.It is a space where you can enjoy the changing sky, such as the morning light, the setting sun, and the night sky full of stars, while spending a very close distance to nature, even on a little cold rainy day or a sweaty weather day.I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the host, Mr. Egakku, and he was very kind to me as I asked about life here.You will also have the experience of openly accepting the unfamiliar and gaining new skills while failing.It is a place where children and adults can spend time together without boundaries and with a rich sense of sensibility.
