Family-friendly holiday rentals in Svendborg

Wonderful house with a very lovely and private location! Comfortable and cozy. We loved the place and would stay there again! It was very comfortable for two adults and a child.

Fantastically cozy large house in an incredibly beautiful natural area. The house contained everything for the large family - large kitchen - many rooms and plenty of space for privacy in small nooks. Lovely terraces around the house. Frogs croaking in the lake just outside. A completely private Langeland hillside with a beaten path and a bench on top. And last but not least, many opportunities for walks - to the beach or in the beautiful hilly countryside. And almost 100% guarantee to see wild game or wild game on all walks.

Nice accommodation and nice view

We booked the place with several families for a few days - we all enjoyed it very much - due to the many possibilities - you always had something to do - definitely recommended. The only drawback - the rooms for sleeping - are quite small - and for some reason the second side of the closet is always screwed on. The beds on the plateau should be planned - only with two people - we had two larger children there - it is too high for small children and never fit there - there is also no closet for these. Keep this in mind when booking - if you're really a lot of people.

We had a wonderfully relaxed stay at Christina's hyggebo. It is very cozy and the cottage has everything you need. We were able to stay in the warm hot tub or sauna in cold weather and enjoyed staying with our children very much. Christina is a great and warm host who attaches great importance to detail. We were in the mood for a visit in summer to discover the island even more.

We had a great stay at the house. Great views from the terrace. Good and easy access to the water. Good beds and bedrooms. Lots of service in the kitchen. Sparing toilet paper and hand soap, so be sure to bring that. Would definitely like to stay at the house again.

We enjoyed the cozy house and the large garden to the fullest. Lars was an attentive host who made us feel comfortable. Last but not least, the house is really good for excursions, the MTB track "Skovhuggeren" and within walking distance to Svendborg harbor. We would love to come back another time.

We were 6 people during our family vacation and lacked nothing. We didn’t get meet in person, but Charlotte was always quick to respond, when we had questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the well equipped and spacious house and guest house. Superb kitchen utensils and the luxury of a dishwasher as well as washing machine und dryer, let us enjoy the real holiday things like: going to the beach (5 minute walk), The pastry bakery in Humble (only open during holidays and the weekend- with fresh exquisite bread/pastries) and of course all of the other closer and further away surroundings & towns. Some of us even went for a swim (must be amazing when the water is a bit warmer to regularly jump into the Baltic Sea.) The living room area is spacious with room for everyone to lounge. One suggetion: maybe I would add a light to the ceiling or maybe a window (velux:)…for a little more light in the lounge area when it is dark. Lovely to see how Charlotte and family share their grounds with nature.

Great place- totally private and the house is super well furnished and cozy. Your own (rocky) beach and beautiful countryside. (The ladder-stairs to the 2 second- floor bedrooms is steep so seniors should take that into account.) Altogether a great find for time away with friends and family.

We've been here before and can only recommend it. We had family with us, and my aunt was shocked that you could just go in and feel at home. It should not be cleaned first, as she said she usually does when renting through rental agencies. And we can only give my aunt right. The place isn't missing anything, and Thurø is just a lovely and pretty place ❤️❤️❤️

Lars welcomed us directly and gave many tips about the surroundings. The place was great, with a child and dog we all fit well. In the afternoon, you can relax on the terrace and make excursions to Svendborg or surroundings during the day. A ferry ride to Ærø should definitely be done too! The breakfast was really very good, we felt completely comfortable!

We have been here several times, as it is the coziest house in Langeland. Jytte is a great and extremely welcoming host.

The house was cozy and homey. Lots of activities in the house and outside. Nice to have a fenced garden when you have a dog. No TV so we spent the time on presence and coziness and you really got down and felt the calm around you. The surroundings were really beautiful and nice with the beach and harbor within walking distance. All in all, a really nice stay and we could easily go back.

Looking for a cozy home in Svendborg full of soul and charm?! Then look no further. This home has coziness, soul, and charm. The hostess, Louise, goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home and at ease. She comes with great tips and advice if needed. She's quick to respond when there's something you're not sure about. She seems like a warm and empathetic hostess. For example, upon our arrival, she had also left us chocolate and delicious Funen apple juice. It was a lovely surprise. In general, you feel very welcome in Louise's place. It's a lovely place for families with children, as there are toys - including Lego - inside that children can play with. Outside there is a large lovely garden - shared with the neighbors - where there is a cave in a tree and small cozy nooks. It's also a big plus that the home is close to pretty much everything - the pedestrian street, train station, and harbor. A lot of places are therefore within walking distance. For that reason, you do not need to use a car to get around inside Svendborg city. It's much easier to get around on foot or bike (if you bring it). Parking close to the home can be a small challenge-especially during the high season when there are many tourists in Svendborg. Luckily, we were able to find a parking spot where we first held a little somewhere (due to a time limit) and then had the opportunity to move the car closer to Louise's home. My recommendation would therefore be: Only use the car if you are going outside Svendborg and visit other cities. As previously mentioned, it's easier to bike or get around on foot from Louise's address. All in all, a really nice place with an excellent hostess who wants to make you feel comfortable in her home.

Huge cozy and lovely home with plenty of space for three generations and fantastic facilities for children - such as trampoline and chickens in the garden. Everything was clean and delicious, communication with Kasper was easy and accurate, and the heart heat radiates out of the house “Sus”. Forest and beach are just a short walk away, the city a little longer walk, and there are nice shopping nearby. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

Louises place was nicely situated close to Svendborg and with a beautiful view

Lovely house with plenty of space and a lot of nice toys. We were two families with a total of four small children, and it worked super well. Welcoming and very helpful host. Warm recommendations from here.

We have really enjoyed the days in the lovely house with amazing surroundings. Nice house with nice rooftop terrace and lovely garden. Super short walking distance to marina and city. Very good contact with the landlord throughout. We had a great time looking after a rabbit and cat and enjoyed Chili's company. We would love to come again and highly recommend this place.

We had a great stay in Villa Tranekjaer. The house is spacious and beautiful, and the garden has a lot to offer - our children enjoyed the trampoline and the playhouse. It is good to be aware that the only shower in the house is in the basement with quite steep stairs, which could be a challenge for some. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. When we couldnt access the key as instructed, they quickly found a solution and whenever we had questions Mette and Thomas answered within minutes. Nice to have a beach so close, and Svendborg was a good starting point for excursions in the area. 

Magical place! Right on the beach! Total hyge. Just you, your family and sea breeze, trampoline and Vernon (owner s cat) kids immediatelly created a bond with the cat. Everything was perfect to us.

We had a wonderful stay at Karin's charming house. The house is well set up for a small family. We enjoyed the conservatory and the small garden. The surroundings are so beautiful with a small beach within walking distance. In addition, we cycled to Smørmosen and Svendborg. We would love to come back to Karin's house😊
