Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Stratford-on-Avon District

This is the third time I've stayed in Katherine's 'shepherd's hut'. It is a beautifully situated, cosy and peaceful retreat from which to explore Oxford. Katherine is a great host, friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. I'm sure I'll be back for a fourth time soon.

We only stayed for a couple of nights, but what a little gem! We will definitely be booking again. It was such a great and unique experience-like camping, but much better! The shed was so cosy and peaceful, we could have sat there all day just listening to the birds. We had everything we needed and loved the little fire pit outside. Showering with a view of the trees was quite a memorable experience too! We walked to Bridgenorth from the shed, which was stunning-through the woods and past some picturesque houses. This is somewhere we will always remember staying.

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

The hut was absolutely beautiful, in a stunning location, very peaceful, dog and child friendly stay. Jonathan and Jenny were lovely hosts, and always very helpful. Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely stay in the shepherds huts with our daughter. She loved the bunk beds to sleep in and enjoyed the camping like experience. We played scrabble in the evenings in the kitchen and she had lots of fun doing lots of handstands on the grass out the front of the huts! We then had a lovely walk along the foot path just down the road. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something wholesome.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Ciara's shepherds hut. It is quite obvious that Ciara has put a ton of thought into this accommodation, it had everything we needed and more in regards to amenities. The photos don't do justice to the overall aesthetic and ambiance that we experienced upon arrival, the space outside and inside was very charming and we immediately felt at home. Ciara was also very communicative and quick to respond to any messages. She even offered a late check out as they had no booking on the night of our departure. There are some scenic walks from the accommodation and it is also a very lovely walk into the town centre. We enjoyed stopping at Bobby's cafe each time we were headed into town for a quick iced coffee (highly recommend stopping here). I will be sure to recommend Ciara's place to anyone who plans on staying in Stratford Upon Avon for a long weekend.

A perfect countryside escape! My partner and I recently stayed at the sheep shed and had such a fantastic experience. The hut was cozy, clean and thoughtfully designed - everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the little touches made it feel extra special. The location was perfect for a quiet getaway. Surrounded by nature, it was incredibly relaxing to sit outside with a coffee in the morning or stargaze at night. It felt remote and private, but still accessible to local walks and nearby villages/pubs. The hosts were very helpful and check in was smooth and easy, you could tell they’d put a lot of care into creating a warm, inviting space. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful rural setting. We will definitely be coming back!

The shepherd hut is located in beautiful countryside. It is compact but everything you need is provided. It was a fantastic base for me to be near my daughter & new grandson

Wow what an experience from the moment I arrived I felt at home. Duncan and his family are beautiful, kind people very responsive and accommodating. It was idyllic, peaceful, heaven on earth type of place with everything you need and all ecofriendly. A luxurious camping experience with hot showers, compost toilet and outdoor covered kitchen area. I was attending seminars and didnt get time to use the hot tub. 'Bob' the Shepherds Hut is amazing, good quality and tasteful furishing. The bed is so comfortable I fell fast asleep as soon as I hit the pillows. Lanterns are provided, wellies and I love the little fairy lights inside at night. My favourite thing about the place was the little swing as you enter the area, I couldn't resist having a go everytime I went passed. I would definitely recommend this place. I didn't want to go home. Will definitely return again thanks Duncan and Julie xxx

The airbnb was an idillic private location for my fiancé and I, plus our dog nala. Super impressed with the attention to detail from interior and had thought of everything a guest might need thanks to alice’s recommendations and guidelines. We loved the local farm trail too, that was signposted well right on our door step. Would highly recommend for those with our without pets who wants a peaceful break in the cotswolds.

This place was amazing, beautiful surroundings very peaceful. The hut was perfect, even better if you bring your dog as it has secured garden. It was a perfect stay. Rachael was a fantastic host being very friendly & responsive. Also got a slice of cake on arrival which was incredible. Would highly recommend

We wanted something different than just a hotel room and this little shepherds hut fit the bill perfectly. Melissa and Nic have thought of everything to make your stay a little home from home. The hut is beautifully kitted out, has a cosy little living space with an excellent shower and comfiest bed all set in a peaceful countryside location. Check in and gaining access was very smooth and Melissa responded quickly with any queries we had. We loved our 2 night stay and will certainly be recommending the location to others and hope to be back soon.

The airbnb is perfect for a relaxing stay and was very peaceful. It has beautiful sunset views and we loved using the hot tub after exploring some of the local villages in the Cotswolds.

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Ros and her husband have clearly gone above and beyond to make this shepherds hut lovely. The hut is fantastic - very comfortable and very well stocked. The breakfast was tasty. The area is very beautiful and there is lots of information in the hut about local walks and pubs with clear instructions. Thank you!

What a beautiful little getaway! David and Jackie were fantastic hosts, friendly and responsive. The Meadow View Hut was situated in the perfect location, offering gorgeous views, sights of birds of prey and deer. The location was private, peaceful and exactly what you want to unwind to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thank you for making this great place available!

We had the best break away staying at Sharon's beautiful shepherds hut, the scenery was so beautiful, and it was the perfect place to unwind, our two dogs loved the hut and the enclosed garden, as well as exploring all of the public walkways. Sharon is a wonderful host and you will have the best holiday if you choose this little gem for your stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Helen & Chris’s shepherds hut! They are the perfect hosts—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. The hut itself is absolutely beautiful, immaculately presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. Set on a quiet country lane with stunning views towards the Malvern Hills, it’s the ideal spot for a peaceful countryside retreat. It truly has everything a couple could want for a relaxing escape. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning in the future!

We had a great stay at Shepards View. Super cosy and in such beautiful surroundings - watching the horses in the morning was lovely! The location was perfect aswell, so easy to get to all the places to visit in the Cotswolds. Our dog loved the enclosed garden. Hosts were very helpful, not that we really needed anything but all instructions were helpful! Would highly recommend a stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at ‘The Bibury’! Only a short drive from Burford, it was a wonderfully peacefully escape in such a gorgeous setting. The facilities were fantastic and the welcome basket was a lovely treat on arrival - the wood-fired hot tub was an added bonus! The hosts were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely reccomend to others visiting the Cotswolds :)
