Weston sub Edge is a small village close to the start of the Cotswold Way, 20 minutes from the home of Shakespeare at Stratford Upon Avon, two miles from Chipping Campden and its Music and Literature Festivals, Broadway, Longborough Opera, Daylesford, National Trust properties such as Hidcote and Snowshill Manor. We are the ideal location for walking and exploring, so do bring your dog. Transport is essential as we are very rural and taxis and buses aren't always available.
“We had a perfect weekend at the Quart, which began with the warmest of welcomes, followed by a delicious dinner at the nearby Churchill Arms (one is rather spoilt for choice in and around Chipping Campden, and eating out well for a week would be entirely possible). Sarah and Sim have created a homely hideaway with a flourish of fine touches. There were eggs, croissants, jams and orange juice, home made shortbread and granola (it was hard to resist eating them all), an incredibly cosy duvet and a lovely patio garden. The shower felt luxurious and the kitchen was perfectly kitted out for an evening of wine and self-catering. It's probably best to have a car with which to explore, or at the very least a bicycle (and impressive pair of lungs) and we would recommend a long-weekend at the very least. There are many walks in the area, and Sim and Sarah have provided a wealth of local tips and information. We originally booked the Quart because we were guests at a wedding, but of course that was postponed as a result of these most unusual times. We are so pleased that we decided not to cancel, and with the date for 2021 soon to be confirmed, we really hope that it will mean a return visit. Andrew & Gem”
Cotswold comfort! - a pretty apartment in a 17th century Grade II Listed farmhouse in the middle of the village of Aston Magna. The Loft is really well located to explore the area and is a quiet and comfortable place for a relaxing stay. Note - guests really need the use of a car to stay with us
“A lovely. cosy find great for a short stay to explore the local area. Aston Magna is very pretty but very small but it's only a short drive or better still, cycle ride to get into Moreton-in-Marsh, if you bring your own bikes. The Loft has everything you need for a short stay with a lovely, large bedroom area. The shower is perfectly adequate with plenty of hot water but the cubicle itself is quite small due to restricted head height.”
The Old Piggery is a romantic and cosy barn conversion, located within the semi-rural village of Broom. Just 15 mins drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon, the RSC and Shakespeare's Birthplace and approximately 20 mins to the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds.
“This is a lovely airbnb, a stones throw from Stratford upon Avon. Vanessa made us very welcome and left some nice provisions for breakfast as well as fresh coffee and tea. She really has thought of everything and her place was very well equipped if you want to stay in and cook, or go out to one of two nearby pubs. The space is a beautiful barn conversion in a big courtyard, very stylish, comfortable and cosy but with plenty of light and space - we came for the weekend but would have happily stayed a week. We will be back!”
