Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Stockholm archipelago

Our family had a wonderful weekend in the house in Ingarö. Johan and Linda welcomed us in person, they are wonderful hosts. The house is built with quality and love for details. Well equipped, we lacked nothing, clean and warm. We traveled by car, so we managed to visit several local natural treasures - Björnö nature reserve, Artipelag. 10 minutes walk from the house there is access to the water where you can relax and enjoy the local landscape. Stockholm is in about 30 minutes drive from the house.

Everyone who was there was completely shocked and positively surprised. It was like a dream come true. 🔥

An incredible and very special location - we spent a few days here with our 4 year old daughter and we all had such a fun, relaxing time.

Our time at this place was just fantastic! From the first moment, we felt incredibly comfortable. The cleanliness and coziness of the house were outstanding, and the lovingly designed details of the furnishings inspired us again and again. Each room was furnished with so much taste and a sense of something special that it resulted in a harmonious and inviting overall picture – almost like a home away from home. The sauna and fireplace in particular perfectly rounded off our stay and provided unforgettable moments of well-being. An absolute highlight was the snowfall on New Year's Eve, which turned the already picturesque surroundings into a true winter wonderland. This combination of fantastic scenery and exceptional accommodation has made our Sweden vacation just as we had dreamed of it. We would have liked to have stayed longer! Lots of windows. Beautiful light. Very minimalistic atmosphere which gave a calm and peaceful feeling. Cozy front room with windows, daybed and surrounding views of boats passing by was perfect for coffee and relaxation. Elisabet is an excellent, responsive and kind host. While you cannot take a car there, they have two hand carts available to use when you arrive. If you don’t mind walking, it is a good walk with your suitcases in the carts from the ferry to the home and you’ll get a lot of wildlife, animals and things to see. We enjoyed the nature. Water everywhere. The sunsets were beautiful. Private beach to use (visible to everyone but not available). A sweet market just down the hill with almost everything you may need for a few days. A boat, kayak, SUPs and linens for rent—ask to reserve them ahead of your stay. We loved the experience.

A brilliant spot approximately 30 min drive from the centre of Stockholm. Right by the water with sea views and 9min drive to the local town. Our family (kids aged 9 and 12) loved the pool and hot tub. Elin and Johan were great and the house had everything we needed. Hoping to come back soon.

It was a great place for 3 of us. We were able to walk or take public transportation to most places.

Fabulous location , we walked everywhere . Real old town building with original features ,beautiful old stone stairwell to top ,78 steps . Loved our time there . Stockholm is a beautiful city . Hosted by Bella very quick to respond very helpful thank you.

Thank you to our hosts for a great stay near Stockholm. It was 20-25 minutes by car to go visit the city. The area was a nice quiet neighborhood and accommodated our family of 5. Great kitchen and space to eat together and relax. The area was great for running as well.

We stayed in this lovely Gamla Stan apartment recently for 5 nights and were very pleased with our choice. It was spacious & clean and modern fixtures with still some character features. The climb up 2 stories was ok for us carrying our luggage and on wide solid stone stairs. It was very quiet & peaceful and on a lovely cobbled (largely pedestrian) street just down the street from a famous old church. Very easy to explore Gamla Stan. Spacious bedroom and great (dark) bedroom curtains and wifi was fine. You must stay.

Magnus was an excellent communicator and his place was as described. The location was great and we walked everywhere because the weather was beautiful. We did a bike tour, the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and ate a lot of great food! It was so nice to come back to a comfy apartment to relax. The washer/dryer was a nice benefit as we prepared for our next journey. Thank you for a great stay Magnus!

Julius’s apartment was bright, very roomy, and very comfortable! It is in a residential area directly across from a park. We enjoyed the community that came to the park on a daily basis. Beds were comfortable living room was comfortable and Julius provided some great restaurant recommendations in the guidebook he left. Overall a great stay

Per’s lake house is very beautiful and made us want to come back to Sigtuna! It’s very serene and walkable to a small commercial street in Sigtuna. We drove from Stockholm in an electric car and the house has an electric charger. The views from the living room are unforgettable. Per is very responsive too! I highly recommend!

Frida was fantastic both before and throughout our stay. Responded quickly and was always flexible with our wishes. The house was beautifully located and had everything you wanted for a girls' weekend. Would love to come back here another time.

Second time we’ve chosen to stay with Louis, and we will definitely be back. The house is in a calm area, with amazing scenery, clean, and fully equipped.

Lennart and Chicki's house is a stunning stay. The view is just amazing and sitting watching the boats go by was so calming and relaxing. it's not far to drive to Saltsjõbaden where there are restaurants and cafes and a supermarket. It's best to have a car to stay here. The fact that it's slightly off the beaten path is the thing that makes it so special. The house has everything you need - comfy beds, great shower, big outdoor area, nice kitchen. Chicki was great to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks for the lovely stay 🙂

We had an amazing weekend at Ornö! The house is beautifully located with a lake view and very close to the beach/jetty. Arne was available and so we got in properly when we arrived. The large wooden deck that runs around the whole house made the jus feel big and luxurious, which set is also. The wooden deck only reinforced the feeling of space. All rooms were fresh and cozy and both the kitchen and bathrooms were top notch. We are more than happy to come back to Arne's house!
