Holiday rentals with lake access in Steigereiland

We had a great week at the chalet and really recommend staying there! The environment is very quiet and peaceful with lots of nature. Still you can easily reach cities like Amsterdam quickly. Maurice and Ashley are very kind and caring hostess, they always replied immediately to our messages.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location with easy access to Amsterdam using public transport. Very helpful hosts with frequent communication answering any questions and even booking dinner on our behalf. Highly recommended!

The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room provide a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you'd rather not go on an excursion, but just stay in the apartment.

Very nice location, very close to the center. It is important to mention that there is no parking space for the car. 500 meters away is a free parking space. We didn't think this was a problem. First drop off the luggage and then take the car to the parking lot, went well (one-way traffic). The cottage is modern and cozy and equipped with every comfort! Train station and bus stop are nearby to explore the wider area by public transport. In the garden, there is a shed where you can store your own/rented bicycles. It is a quiet environment and yet close to the city center! Wonderful place and definitely recommended.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

Brenda's little house is furnished with great attention to detail. We rented the house to go to Amsterdam. You can get to Amsterdam train station in about 15 minutes by bus. Buses depart every few minutes near the apartment. It's a shame that we couldn't enjoy the great house anymore. We were always out and about until the evening.

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived at a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was possible without any problems. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next autumn. We found the perfect spot to spend a few days in the Breukelen / Maarssen area. Able to live like a local by biking to shops and touring the area. Nicolette and Remko made our stay so pleasant and were very friendly to help with plans or a quick chat. The space inside was lovely and roomy. Lots of place to relax outside too. Great biking and boating in the area - follow their recommendations. Most welcoming hosts we have met. Thank you for everything.

Wonderful peaceful place to stay!

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Kevin and Kim's beautiful home. The place was fantastic and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home immediately in their immaculately clean home. It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to busses, the grocery store and the lovely shops and promenade in Volendam on the water. Amsterdam was only a 20 minute bus ride. Kevin greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Truly a great experience. I would book with Kevin and Kim in a heartbeat again should our travels return to Volendam.

Very nice place, with friendly hosts, John and his wife were very friendly, meeting our needs, super recommended. who of your a beautiful region like a wonderful sunset. I'll definitely be back again.

Was a very enjoyable stay at this property, location was perfect, host was very good at communicating and making me feel welcome. Also was very understanding In regards to checking out on the final day, would recommend to anyone looking for a welcoming trip in a stunning location!

It was one of the best apartments we stayed at. It was clean, beautiful and has a great view. Everything was just perfect. Amsterdam is not very far with the car. The sorroundings were beautiful. Almere is a wonderful small city, that we never visited before. Will definitely book Kevin's place When we visit Amsterdam again. Kevin is a very good host and was very responsive. Five stars are just too less.

Lovely apartment, very easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Great location on the waterfront and close to bus station. Easy walk to town and lots of cafes / restaurants. Shafieq was really responsive and helpful and gave very clear instructions on check-in.

Lovely apartment in Monnickendam - spacious, clean. Beautiful surroundings and very comfortable - felt like home. Very good public transport links. The hosts were incredibly helpful, making our stay even better. Highly recommended!

The place is in a beautiful and especially quiet environment. It's located about 4 km from the train station, so if you don't have a rental car, you can walk. However, there are bikes for your stay, which you can use to get to the train station. In general, the owners were very kind and accommodating, the place matches the photos and description, it's clean and cozy. Highly recommend and thank you for a great vacation!

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the view. The cottage was clean and tidy and equipped with everything. The view was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow it, but the beautiful moments we were able to sit on the terrace and the jetty. We stayed in cottage # 5. Highly recommended. Good beds and full equipment in the kitchen.

A beautiful cottage in which we immediately felt comfortable. The view is sensational: ducks, storks, rabbits, lots of greenery and waterside. On the terrace with the very cozy rocking chairs, you can relax and enjoy a sundowner. The amenities are perfect, the beds very comfortable and everything super clean. Rudi is a great host and very friendly. 😊 We will be happy to come back.

Beautiful house and perfect host!

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Angelique was a good and friendly host. She greeted us right on the street, so we didn't have to look any further for the accommodation. The cottage is very lovingly furnished. The location on the water is really good. You have your privacy here. We were also very pleased about the food provided. We had a very nice time.

It is a beautiful accommodation with a view directly of the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day with a view of the lake. If the weather is good, you can also go swimming there. Will definitely be back :)

We had wonderful days at Frederika's, the place looks even nicer in real life than on the pictures. Special highlight next to the incredibly beautiful view - the rowing boat! Which we were allowed to rent for free! Small but nice. Would recommend! Note: Wifi is certainly not required in such an environment, but would have made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you!
