Castle holiday rentals in Southern France

We had 2 wonderful weeks in historical ambiance and beautiful surroundings. The reception by Catherine was super friendly and her many tips very helpful. The possibilities for exploration and activities are numerous (cave visit, Lyon, visit to medieval villages in the area, swimming in the Ain, paddle excursions) Thanks to Catherine and family!

We had a great time at this beautiful mansion, spacious, bright and warm. Its cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for hosting people or for a family stay. Despite a view of factories across the street, with continuous smoke and a little noise, we were fully satisfied with the standard offered. The interior design is a clever mix of old charm and modernity, which brings a lot of character to the place. We strongly recommend this mansion. It would certainly be even more pleasant in summer, especially to enjoy the pool. Again, thank you for this great experience!

This is a special place. It has the perfect balance between a medieval castle and a liveable modern house. The internal spaces are fine and the external spaces are really a pleasure. The little town is beautiful and quiet, and there are so many things to do in l’Empordà. Adrià is a fantastic host - always responsive and helpful. 100% recommended

Everything is impeccable! The house is as shown in the photos, very nice, very well equipped and communication was very easy and fluid.

Beautiful place, we will probably visit again

We had a wonderful time in the idyllically located apartment of Christiane and Bernard. Everything was as described, the spacious space and the unique view even exceeded our expectations. The hosts are particularly friendly and helpful and responded to our questions within a very short time. The place is the perfect base from which to explore the area rich in attractions and attractions. We just regret that we don't speak French, we would have liked to have talked to the charming hosts for longer😉.

This place is a true labour of love and testament to Eric&Remy's skill and expertise. An impressive castle, with carefully selected furniture that matches the rooms and a garden that one couldn't get enough of - absolutely beautiful, and with interesting bits to explore everywhere. If you love antiques, gardening, history, this is the place for you. Eric&Remy couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. Thank you for a beautiful stay!!

We had a great time. The chateau is absolutely stunning, comfortable and well-equipped. Vincent is a great host, very friendly, clear and accomodating. He gave us a full visit of the place and was always available. Would absolutely recommend!

We had a great time at Sophie's place. We particularly enjoyed the rooms, all with bathrooms, the exteriors, the pool and the spa. The environment was extremely quiet.

The apartment was absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend this apartment. It is in a wonderful location. It is somewhat difficult to access and you need the assistance of the hosts if you have a car. This is because many of the residential roads are blocked off unless you have a pass. . The hosts are wonderful and very accommodating. Again, I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Château Le Grave is a beautiful property and was a wonderful choice for our group holiday. We had a lovely stay and found the house very comfortable. The photos don’t quite do it justice—it’s even more charming in person. The kitchen is well-equipped, which made cooking for our group easy and enjoyable. There were a few small issues that affected the overall experience. There wasn’t quite enough toilet paper provided for the weekend, the pool area didn’t have lighting at night, and we encountered an electrical issue that we needed to resolve ourselves. I noticed similar mentions in past reviews, so it may be worth addressing these for future guests. Communication with the host could have been more positive. There was some confusion regarding the cleaning fee, which had already been included in the booking total, and we were asked to pay extra for a few broken glasses, which seemed inexpensive to replace. That said, the property itself is truly lovely and we had a great time.

Certainly one of the most beautiful accommodations I could ever stay in. The remodeling of the orangie has been masterfully successful, the kitchen is wonderful and the location is wonderfully quiet. Pure relaxation. Jitske and Matthew are also warm hosts. — Certainly, this was not the last stay.

A wonderful stay. Maud was the local contact and extremely helpful and friendly to deal with. We loved the home and it was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The location is in a quaint small village. Perfect for a calm, quiet break. It’s a bit away from anything though so if you need groceries or want to go somewhere it’s at least 25minutes to do that. Overall still a wonderful visit

First and foremost Lucie and her parents Annick and Pierre are greats hosts and super lovely. They were helpful and so welcoming. Perfect communication and always there when we need them. The chateau was a dream- peaceful and beautiful not to mention super clean! Our stay there was amazing and it’s perfect for family’s. Won’t hesitate to return! Thank you Lucie for making our trip memorable

It's a great place in nature and calm, the only noises are the cars on the other side of the Tarn. We - a couple - spent 6 nights at the castle in a studio. Also, for 2 nights a friend was with us. The studio is well equipped with everything you need and with nice details like pockets next to the large bed (tablet, phone etc.). Alexandra and Liza are very nice. They live upstairs with their 2 children, their entrance is on the other side of the building, so we were completely on our own. Nevertheless, they were always reachable to answer our questions or to fill the bottle of vinegar and oil. Activities: Swimming, kayaking 50 m, many hiking trails. Visit Albi and Toulouse. Subordinate points: - The studio was wet. The owners have already taken measures. - At the beginning, there are a lot of flies in the area, no one's fault. A big thank you to both of you!!

We had a very pleasant stay in the chateau! The place is very beautifully renovated and decorated. Its extremely spacious and all rooms were very clean. The garden is also great for kids to play. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back!

The accommodation is very cozy, it feels very good, the terrace between the bedrooms and the kitchen is shaded surrounded by bamboo perfect for meals and relaxing. Jean Marc is about welcoming you and immediately making you feel at ease. A very human and discreet person who makes everything available to make sure we have a great stay. The pool is 10m well maintained perfect for swimming and sunbeds for relaxing. Lots of walks and beautiful villages under 30min away.

Absolutely beautiful place! The house and pool are gorgeous and so well-equipped. It's in a quiet location but there is a lovely small town 10 mins away. We would stay again!

It was a real pleasure to stay in the lavender gite in the grounds of the chateau Michael's renovating. What made our stay special was the warm and friendly hospitality from Michael and his friend Gabi, and the beautiful gardens he's created around the gites, the chateau and the swimming pool. It was a bit too chilly to use the pool in our stay, but it looked very inviting in better weather!

Extraordinary. I celebrated my 40th birthday in this castle, we were 12 adults and 12 children. Impeccable layout of the rooms, clean and in place linen, safe and very pleasant outdoor environment. Don't hesitate.

We had a lovely time staying here for two nights. It was easy to get here from Nîmes and Claude was very responsive. The space looked just like the photos, very beautiful.

We have been very comfortable in the castle. Everything is super well cared for and Cristina and Gabriel are lovely. We will be back for sure!

A beautiful two bedroom apartment in a historical Villa surrounded by a French style garden which we absolutely loved! We were welcomed by Damien and felt right at home in the flat. We loved big windows, lots of light, and attention to detail that Damien demonstrated by decorating a Christmas tree for us and preparing a welcome gift - some candies. The bathroom in the main bedroom is spacious and beautifully designed. We especially loved the combination of traditional elements and modernity, such as electric stove that looked like a traditional 19th century one. A fireplace is another great feature. It makes you feel like being in a French chateau. All in all, a great stay in a great place with kind and welcoming host. We can highly recommend the flat and Damien!

We had a fantastic time at Suzanna’s place. It’s an absolutely beautiful setting with nice views out of the chateau and lovely swimming pool. We stayed for a week with our kids and their grandparents and all had a great time. Suzanna herself was extremely responsive and accommodating. We actually had an issue with another booking for which I was awaiting a refund before booking last minute. Suzanna was extremely helpful and accommodated us last minute and we absolutely lucked out with it being such a nice place.
