Holiday rentals with a kayak in Southern California

This place was great for a girls weekend. Shops and restaurants right across the street. Main busy street of Ocean Beach and the beach itself was a 10 min walk. Ramona was super nice and accommodating. The pull out sofa in one of the bedrooms was very uncomfortable for one of the guests though so they ended up sleeping on the couch which was better. Would stay here again and again!

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at the Lost Shaker of Salt airbnb. The place was immaculate when we arrived and the layout was ideal for us, plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 dogs. The yard was set up nicely with chairs, lights, umbrella and firepit and view of the water. We loved walking along the beach with our dogs and the town has lots of restaurants with dog friendly patios. We would definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay! Joshua was a great host responsive, thoughtful, and made everything easy from start to finish. The space was exactly as described: clean, cozy, and well-equipped. This rental was really beautiful and well taken care of. It is evident that Wyatt was very intentional about the amenities in the home - from the child gate at the top of the stairs to the beach equipment he left available to use. We felt very comfortable and loved how close we were to the beach and to the shops in Carlsbad. Wyatt is also super responsive. Definitely an excellent experience deserving of 5 stars!

Toms place was great for us. They put great detail into their guide to help with everything you can think of. I appreciated that everything we interacted with was high quality and well maintained.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The place was super clean and had plenty of games to keep us entertained. It was also really peaceful at night, which made for a relaxing stay. Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a quiet, fun place to stay in San Diego!

Sherry’s house had everything we could need, and more! I wish I would have known beforehand, I could have packed much less! There were lots of extra touches, even fresh ground coffee provided and plenty of laundry detergent for us to use. We really appreciated having anything we could need there. Went to the grocery store and prepared most all of our meals there. We really enjoyed the short drive to Sunset Cliffs each night to enjoy the sunset. I would definitely recommend having a rental car but there are some places several blocks away.

A beautiful location. The landscaping was well designed and continued a large variety of plants and trees. That along with a couple of fountains really made the place relaxing. Very little noise and good privacy.

Our stay in Big Bear at Jon's cottage was nothing short of perfect for a work/play trip. The house is super comfortable and highly functional. We deeply appreciated all the amenities such as the bikes, ping pong, hot tub, snacks, coffee, full spice rack, ice in the freezer, great Wifi, and central heating. The location is great being close to the ski areas and the three grocery stores in town. Our dog loved spending time on the deck looking for squirrels and chipmunks. We look forward to returning for another family trip someday.

We are already considering another stay when time allows. Dahabada was extremely quick in helping with any issues we had, going above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. The location is a dream for anyone that loves nature.

This is place was perfect for my stay in San Diego with my kids. The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to the bay, the ocean and Belmont park. The place was very clean and kitchen well stocked with everything you need if you don't want to eat out every meal. Very cool/ comfortable and peaceful patio area with a grill. Karin was very responsive and helped us feel welcome. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a great location. And very lovely cottage. Perfect for two adults, two kids and our dog. Cheryl was responsive and friendly. Can’t wait to stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage as a young family - great location, cute home that feels like grandma’s house in a very endearing way, and is filled with family-friendly toys, beach accessories, movies, etc. J-me was so responsive and welcoming.

We had an incredible stay at Dawn's home in Mission Beach. She was extremely responsive before and during our stay when we had a question or needed help. The location of her home was perfectly situated for our family- closer to the bay side but only a block or so away from the ocean side. The included toys, games, and books were amazing for our seven year old. We all enjoyed a great bike ride around the bay, too! The kitchen had lots of extra small appliances and amenities that made it easy to cook many meals during our stay. The outdoor firepit and patio made for relaxing evenings with a view of the Sea World fireworks. In the listing, Dawn mentions that the garage is a tight fit for larger vehicles. Parking our minivan was very tight so we appreciated Dawn's heads up that we could keep the garage door open so that we didn't need to use street parking.

We had a great time! And the place was wonderful as were Robert and Lynn! Very helpful and responsive. There place is awesome. Exactly what we need for our little weekend get away.

This cabin is very nice and is very reasonably priced. It was very kid friendly with the provided baby gates to keep the little ones off of the stairs and also the outside jungle gym and play room. We were visiting to participate in a Spartan race and this cabin was about a 5 minute drive to the venue. Paul, the host is very responsive and is the instructions and rules are very clear and reasonable. We’ll definitely be staying at this cabin again in the future.

Natalie was an amazing host! Before I ever got there she sent the most welcoming message! The home was beautiful and exactly like the pictures! They gave great recommendations for paddle boarding / kayaking at the lake which we did! It was such a beautiful experience! We will one hundred percent be back and recommend this place to anyone who wants to get out of the city and visit big bear!!

We enjoyed a lovely, restful stay at a Stone’s Throw. The house was the perfect stay in Big Bear. My husband, son, and I enjoyed our coffee on the beautiful deck and the spa was great after a day of hiking and biking. The house is located just a few minutes from the village and stocked with games, pool table, and corn hole. Christian, is the most responsive and helpful host. Upon arrival, we found a handy binder listing restaurants and hikes in Big Bear. We can’t wait to visit again. We had everything we needed and cozy comfy beds too! Thank you :)

Tamara is absolutely wonderful. Superb service, amazingly cozy & huge cabin, all stainless steel appliances, fully loaded kitchen, huge fully loaded game room. The photos only give you a small glimpse of what you will really walk into. Hands down Tamara and her cozy cabin is the best you will find! Thank you for allowing us to make many memories in your stunning home!

Such a beautiful home and views all over the house! So clean and the kids loved running all around with so many places to explore. We can when it was about 80 degrees so be mindful as the home does not AC. There are ceiling fans in just about every room which is fine with me because I run cold, my husband and kids run hot so they would be complaining if it were any hotter. The breeze in the afternoon does help a lot. The jacuzzi in the back is a lot of fun, it feels like you are directly in the woods with an amazing view. This is an 8 min drive to the village and a 5 min drive to the grocery outlet store. Overall, great stay and our favorite room was the middle game room with a huge window and daybed to look out. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Dream come true! Tamara suggested we listen to music from the 1930s-40s, and that really sealed the ambience. I've always wanted to take a vacation to the past, and I did! Along with comfortable beds, bathrooms, etc. Lots of extra touches. Loved every second! Would highly recommend!

This place was the best. If you are looking for a place on the lake with a dock. This is it!. Cory was great! This place was so much fun. We played all day on the dock swimming and fishing. Can't wait too go back!!!

This is probably one of the best prepared Airbnb‘s that I have stayed in. It was clean. It has everything you need and more for your stay great location. Only complaint we had was the shampoo, conditioners and land soaps were not in all the bathrooms or filled and a couple of our people didn’t bring stuff based on that they thought this would be there. This was a very small complaint as to all the wonderful features this house has.
