Cottage holiday rentals in Southend

We had a beautiful stay at Seaview Cottage. Niall was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. The attention to detail and little touches made us feel so welcome along with the friendly host and unbelievable views made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We highly recommend staying at Niall and Janeen’s cottage, thank you both very much for having us!

Nice clean place to stay ,definitely worth it.

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. The house was great, very spacious with everything you need. Great surroundings and most beautiful views over the sea. Lovely walks around about. And a really nice restaurant just a 5 minute walk away called the Anchorage, the food was 10/10. Everyone really enjoyed the trip here and we’d definitely love to visit again.

This is a great place for a big gathering of friends! The hot tub is the perfect addition to the house as was the sea view. Would highly recommend this place and would stay again!

We had the perfect getaway with friends in this beautiful house by the sea. We were 4 adults and 3 young children and there was plenty of space for us all. There are lots of stairs which were difficult at times for the younger ones. But that didn’t take away from our stay. We got the hot tub which we thoroughly enjoyed once the kids were in bed. Would definitely recommend.

Paul and Laura’s place is a charming cottage with easy access to the Giant’s Causeway and other nearby attractions. The cottage has a lovely old-world feel and was the perfect spot for some well-earned rest and relaxation during our tour of the area. Paul and Laura were kind and helpful in all our interactions. I highly recommend their cozy and welcoming cottage.

This little cottage is located in an ideal setting opposite a pebble beach which my Beardie absolutely loved. The sound of the gentle lapping of the waves was so soothing in the evenings. Whilst the cottage is not close to many amenities it was only a shortish drive to everywhere. The scenery all around was absolutely stunning and Sue was a mind of information and recommendations. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed a very welcome break at Rose cottage - our 4 legged friend enjoying the most!

We both had a fantastic stay at the Coach House. Marjorie and Ronny were both very welcoming. A perfect location for visiting the island, with great views of the Clyde.

A comfortable, well-equipped and nicely organised bungalow in a very rural setting - distant views, big skies and lots of birds (and hares). Fairly central on Islay and not too far from Bridgend and Bowmore (with a car) - we didn't find ourselves constantly driving along the same roads, which would be the case had we stayed in one corner of the island. We cooked our own meals most evenings and found most of the things we wanted - maybe bring a pair of kitchen scissors.

Beautiful very well appointed cottage right in the middle of Bowmore. Lovely garden at the back. Pubs, restaurants and shops very close .

This was our second stay at Bernard's place and it was just as we remembered. It is spacious, comfortable, practical, and in a great location. Our dogs had plenty of space in the secure private garden. We have enjoyed both stays very much as we have found it a very relaxing place to stay. We can also highly recommend the meals at The Catch at Find restaurant where we have always had a first class meal. Richard & Sharon

We couldn’t have loved this property more. A beautiful location on the water, the cottage was a perfect spot to explore Islay. It was quiet and well-equipped, and we really wish we could have stayed here more than 2 nights. We’ll definitely be back!

Drumla Cottage is a beautiful place and the views are stunning. Catherine is very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. Everything that we needed was available at the cottage and it could not be faulted.

Lovely peaceful stay in beautiful grounds. Lots of walks on the private grounds including walk to their private beach. Very tranquil and special place. We did a few day trips including Ayr PortPatrick some local areas for nice restaurants. My son loves football and we went to see local town Stranraer play on his birthday and they won. We saw lots of deer and nature everywhere. Children loved the zip wire and there was a games room which we didn’t manage to get to. Kate and Angus couldn’t have been more helpful, lots of great recommendations and wonderful welcome hamper which was delicious and appreciated. Beautiful place and private grounds bigger than expected. We were sad to leave and miss the lovely scenery. Thanks so much for a memorable trip.

A great house, exceeded expectations. Walking distance to shops, pubs, and restaurants in Bowmore. Fraser responded to messages quickly and helpfully.

Beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. Spotless inside and out only wish we could have got to use the hot tub but we were there for my daughters wedding so didn’t have time . Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Sean for letting my family stay at Maggies cottage . Ps my girls loved the sheep in the field.

Dot and Dougie were excellent hosts. The cottage is spacious with lovely decor. We felt at home straight away. Delightful garden and views across the valley. Lovely walk from just across the road by a river and gorge. We'd certainly want to stay here again if we come back to Arran.

Nicola was our favorite host. She left us some amazing goodies including some farm fresh eggs! She also had ice! That was hard to come by in our other air bnb’s. Us Americans appreciated it so much! Super cute and modern cottage. Super clean and organized. I highly recommend this home!!
