West Auchenhean, Rosie's Cottage

FlorenceRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
My friend and I chose this cottage for a quiet getaway with our dogs and it was just what we hoped it would be. We were welcomed by Barbara and Graeme upon arrival and they were very kind and helpful if we had any queries at all. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the bedrooms were stunning and there were plenty walks nearby the property, which were especially lovely in the evening with the sunsets. It was the perfect scenic escape we needed. Thank you Barbara and Graeme (and Rosie the golden retriever of course!).

The Gardener’s Cottage with wood fired Hot Tub

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Wonderful place and hosts! Caroline and her husband were wonderful, made our anniversary very special. The wood fired hot tub was such a delight after some long hikes in the mountains and they made sure it was perfectly heated for us each night. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. left is some treats that were amazing and it's just such a cozy cottage. We absolutely loved our stay here.

This was our 2nd stay at March Cottage. The addition of the log burner in the front room and bedroom is great. We will definitely return for a 3rd visit.

water views close to town hot tub 1 pet

AlistairRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely time staying here. I travelled with my wife, our one year old and my brother. This place felt like a home away from home. What stood out was the attention to detail with the supply of tea/coffee, milk, toys, a cot, high chair and bathroom toiletries etc. It was the small things that made a big difference. The view of the loch was lovely to see in the morning with a coffee. We’d happily stay again.

MacLean Cottage on the banks of Loch Long

PatRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Lovely location and David was very responsive. We had a wee problem with the hot tub and David came out to rectify it early morning when the weather was at its worst. Great hosts and take pride in their accommodation and facilities. A great break in homely accommodation with the hot tub as a lovely addition. The weather didn’t spoil our stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of this great location.

Mrs Leonard's Cottage with hot tub and sauna

RichardRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Pi's place is a beautiful cottage with both mountain and sea views over Jura. The facilities are perfect and the hot tub and sauna really made the stay special. It was so relaxing watching the birds in the garden round the feeders and stargazing at night from the hot tub

Tobar nan Iasgair, Isle of Lismore, Oban, Scotland

IsabelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Thank you Frances! It was wonderful staying with you. We were only here for one night, but in that time we really enjoyed it. Frances was very helpful and helped us get from Port Appin to the accommodation, which is not a given. We would recommend anyone to come here. For those who want to experience Scotland's nature away from the tourist crowds, this is the place to be.

Ardvergnish Cottage

Gert-JanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our week long stay at Ardvergnish was wonderfull. The house was very cozy with beautiful views towards the highest hill on the Isle of Mull. The area around the house was the home of a big flock of sheep, which were lambing. The young lambs and their mothers were a great sight to see. Every evening just after sundown a herd of deer came down from the hills so we could watch them from the house. The Isle of Mull is beautiful, rugged and quiet. With beautiful beaches and wonderfull landscapes of hills, rocks with small streams and rivers. There is lots of wildlife to be seen. The sighting of two Minke whales made our hearts skip a beat. So beautiful.

Yewtree Cottage - 'The Art House' and Garden

PeterRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great small cottage as a base for exploring the Dunoon area, we had a lovely day at Benmore Gardens and a great trip over to Loch Lomond and Arachar. The cottage is compact but has everything that you need with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedroom. Top tip is to buy your tickets before getting on the ferry over from Gourock, if you’re coming that way as they charge a fortune if you buy on- board!

Picturesque Old Smiddy Cottage

TaniaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

2 bedroom renovated barn with sea views

AmyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Both David and his wife made me feel right at home. They went over and above to make my stay comfortable, even bringing out ice lollies to me amd my friends on a particularly hot day! The setting is slightly trickier to find, given that it it quite rural, but David answered my request for help immediately and called me to talk me through it. Once you are there though it is so peaceful and absolutely worth it. Thank you for a great trip. I wouldnt hesistate to stay again.

Entire Cosy Scottish Bungalow

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Beautiful, peaceful home in the heart of the Highlands. The mountain views were stunning, and the location was perfect for exploring Glencoe and beyond. The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed to cook our own meals — we didn’t eat out in the village but found the local Co-op very handy. Our host was friendly and helpful. A perfect base for hiking and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Crofters Cottage, Lyrabus Moor Croft

RuthRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a very lovely stay at Fiona and Calum’s place. The views were phenomenal and we enjoyed waking up each morning and saying hello to the sheep and the hares in the field across from us. We cooked a breakfast and a dinner at the house and the kitchen had all we needed for making a good meal. You will need to pick up oils and condiments etc. but they have lots of salt and pepper available. Overall wonderful stay with friendly hosts. Fiona offered us a list of us good taxi drivers to take us around the island. Would recommend!

Cottage, Quiet Rural Location near Loch Fyne

GillianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved Fiona's stylish, warm, well equipped. We didn't have great weather but it didn't matter because it was such a nice place to hangout. Fiona was a really good host, warning us about possible traffic problems on the way and suggesting wet weather things to do. It's a beautiful area and we'd like to go back one day.

Gometra Teacher's Bothy

ScottRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Married on 25th May at Gretna Green, we arrived at Gometra’s North Pier on the 26th via my uncle’s fishing boat, welcomed ashore by young Rhoda. Genevieve and I cherished our solitude here, reminiscing about my childhood holidays at Gometra in the '70s. The gallery honesty shop next to Jane Anne’s was a delight—we sent postcards out from there! I climbed Fairy Hill, laying seaweed in memory of Jane Anne and the Mermaid. A magical start to our life together!"

Idyllic cottage in the heart of Loch Lomond

MarkRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It would be difficult to put a price/value on this gem. The unit was so pristine, spacious and wonderfully comfortable. Never doubted the cleanliness in the place. It gives the feeling of being alone in the country, yet so close to the incredible Beinn Dubh - Glen Striddle Horseshoe, Luss. The Faerie Trail and others are a must do. Very easy walk into Luss, for pubs and food. When we return to the area, we can only hope Jade will allow us the pleasure of staying again.

Old Smiddy Cottage

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a lovely time at this super cottage. Well appointed, very spacious and squeaky clean. We particularly liked the comfy bed and the blackout blinds on the bedroom windows - so important when the sun rises early in the Scottish summer! We had a great stay in this fab cottage on lovely Arran.
