Beautiful schoolhouse, North Uist, Outer Hebrides

RosyRating, 5 stars85 months ago
The Schoolhouse is exhisite. If you think the photos are good, the space is even more impressive in reality. A perfect place to relax with friends. Every detail has been considered for maximum style and comfort. Pierson was readily available for questions and the house is full of maps and details on local amenities and inspirations. The location is well positioned a short 15 minute walk to a stunning remote beach. Myself and my friends couldn't recommend staying at Tigharry Schoolhouse more!

Award-winning eco beach-house and sauna

JaneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The bird hide was an absolutely magical place to stay. The huge picture windows look right across the foreshore and across the sea to the islands. It was wonderful to sit on the relaxing seating with a glass of wine, watching the short eared owl hunting at dusk, and the multitude of wading sea birds and gulls. The sauna was a real treat after a day walking along the coast. The house is well equipped, and the bed comfortable with amazing views out to sea. The coastline up to Berneray is beautiful, there are views across to St Kilda and West Beach on Berneray was spectacular. Don't miss a real treat.

Cosy Entire House with Spectacular Village Views

We really enjoyed our stay at Joan’s house. Communication was excellent and the house was very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and warm. We had unexpectedly wild weather for a couple of days and were cosy and relaxed at Joan’s.

Comfortable detached 4 bedroomed holiday home

HarriotRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Wow, what a fantastic location and cosy cottage. The children were delighted to find the games room which meant a lovely relaxed holiday for the grown ups! James and Chippie were both so helpful and accommodating of our needs and Benbecula and North Uist were simply stunning.

Grandfathers House, 5 min walk from jewel beaches!

DawnRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Beautiful, clean and cosy little house. Suzan and Jan are lovely and really helpful. Northton is a great base - near to beautiful beaches, cafe and Croft 36 honesty shop. The local (well stocked) shop, brewery and ferry to Berneray are a couple of miles away. We would definitely stay here again.

Bothan Beinn

DebbieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great week staying at Ann's place in such an amazing location, perfect for relaxing and perfect for exploring the whole of the island and Vatersay. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable for our party of 6 plus our dog. We saw golden eagles from the patio, and loved the walk down to Borve headland. The track to the property is indeed very bumpy, so you need to take it very slowly! Ann was very communicative when we had questions about a couple of things. All in all, a brilliant place to stay.

Idyllic Hebridean thatched cottage

ClaireRating, 5 stars8 months ago
A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.

Red Pepper - Loch & Sea Views - Explore Uist

JohnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a fantastic place to stay. When we walked through the front door of this very cosy cabin we were struck by the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. Its facilities were fantastic leaving us wanting for nothing. Its setting is incredible, surrounded by fresh and sea water. Bird life is incredible, including a cuckoo singing its heart out fully visible on the telegraph wires near the cabin. I watched seals in the bay at sunset only a couple of minutes walk away. A special treat was the Northern Lights. A real surprise in May. Cathy and James (who live next door) were easy to communicate with and it was a pleasure to meet James for a chat. Their presence was entirely unobtrusive. They arranged magnificent weather for us 😊😊 which made the stay even more special. We felt sad to leave this charming cabin and will certainly be back to enjoy the beautiful island next year. Thank you brilliant hosts. With love from John and Julia.

We had a wonderful stay here as a group of 5 adults and 1 dog. The location was fantastic, we enjoyed taking in the views from the kitchen window. The property is also a short walk from the airport cafe which we visited each day. Ameneties were good, making our stay very comfortable.

This place was amazing, and everything we were looking for. It’s remote and peaceful: the perfect place to disconnect. You’ll need a car to get there, but it’s worth it. It’s a comfortable home with a great full kitchen and a lovely bathtub with a view. The washer and dryer were so convenient! The town of Dunvegan is relatively close, and you can go there to get groceries, etc. If you can, you should make reservations at the Three Chimneys restaurant nearby. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

What a place! We had the most amazing time. The Isle of Harris is amazing and Peigi's place was just so cute and gorgeous. Even though we had a slight mishap with the warm water supply it didn't spoil what was an incredible trip. Peigi was very keen to help us out. Thank you for a fantastic stay

Rakastuimme taloon ja sen ympäristöön. Talo on erittäin siisti sisältä ja ulkoa, sängyt olivat erinomaiset. Tulimme rauhoittumaan, lepäämään ja nauttimaan ainutlaatuisesta luonnosta. Vietimme täällä onnellisen viikon. Suosittelemme paikkaa lämpimästi. -Gerda ja Kari

Isle of Eriskay Glamping Pods 2

JimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a great place to stay. It has everything you need and is immaculately clean. The location is perfect, right across the road from Am Politician, which is a great wee pub, and a very short walk from a spectacular beach. Eriskay is a great location for walking or cycling and exploring the other islands with South and North Uist, Benbecula and Berneray all joined by causeways. Brilliant place - I’d highly recommend it.
