Holiday rentals with a patio in South Kona

Conveniently located in Hilo. Easy to find and access rental. Hosts were very fast in communication and very friendly. I would recommend this place if you are staying in Hilo.

The apartment was beautiful! The view was exactly as the photo depicted. The place was organized, clean, and was supplied with almost everything and anything we needed. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

The stay with Robynne was amazing! It's rare to find such a great host and such an incredibly cosy and super clean Airbnb. We would have loved to stay longer. We couldn't have imagined a better stay. It felt like home. We also got to meet the two huskies and they were super cute. All in all: 10 out of 10!! Mahalo Robynne and thank you for your hospitality!

Super clean, excellent and pristine furniture. The garden and the surrounding were fascinating. I was surprised to learn that we're allowed to use the barbecue grill and the bon fire but unfortunately had little time to use as there are a lot of things to do at the Big Island. Hopefully next time! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

Angela is an incredible host! She is very accommodating and has a clean, well-designed home. The in-unit washer/dryer is a huge plus! 10/10 stay would recommend!!

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

The place was very comfortable and the property was beautiful. I particularly appreciated the wonderful exotic fruit from the property that the hosts provided.

Stuart's place is truly home away from home. Every little detail so well thought out, you won't find yourself stepping out to stock up on essentials, be it in the kitchen or bathroom. Be it towels, beach chairs/mats or toys, everything is sanitized and available to borrow. Stuart was very accommodating of my request for early check in, which is a blessing when traveling with a toddler. He even had a high chair ready for us. We enjoyed our evenings in the lanai, and I can't wait to be back soon. Thank you, Stuart.

We absolutely loved The Sugar Shack! It was more than what we expected - the house had everything we needed, and the flow was seamless. Even though we arrived pretty late, the instructions on how to get to the house were very clear, and we found it without any issues. It felt like we had lived there for years, which made it so perfect for us. The location was fantastic - about an hour away from Hilo, nestled in the beautiful SeaView subdivision. We had the opportunity to check out an event at the SeaView park, which was a lot of fun. Plus, we were close to Volcanoes National Park and some stunning black sand beaches. We highly recommend The Sugar Shack - it was the perfect spot for our stay!

Beautiful place to stay with everything you need to have a great time on the island. Everything was clean and modern surrounded by a peaceful rain forest. ITS A GREAT DEAL. Only downsides are that it’s a ways out from most things and that it’s close to the main road, so you can hear cars going by in the morning. But overall it’s a great central location if you want to vibe in the captain cook area for its beaches and restaurants while also being really close to Volcanoes National park and the black sand beach.

Beautiful home in a beautiful rural area. Stargazing is amazing from this location! We did the lava tube cave tour just 10 minutes away and visited the green sand beach near south point. About 45 minutes to an hour from activities in Kona/Kailua and northern Captain Cook, 50 minutes to Kīlauea volcano. There are many amazing places to stop along the coast between Ocean View and Kailua that we really enjoyed: pebbles black pebble beach, Shoreline Park with Hawaiian heritage sites and amazing lava flow cliffs, the Captain Cook Monument, Manini Beach with a breathtaking view of the bay and cliffs, Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park, and much more. This made us not mind the drive between Ocean View and Kailua at all.

Loved the serene feeling this beautiful place brought. It was amazing to sit in the hot tub after a long day of exploring to hear the music from the birds and coquis! Stay here, it’s a must! Thank you Andrew for the great experience!

Peter and Lori are friendly and welcoming and their property is truly lovely -- it is evident that a lot of care, effort and thought goes into to maintaining it. The cottage makes a perfect home base for exploring the area. It is also so pretty and comfortable that you just might want to pick up a pizza, watch some Jeopardy and dream about what it would be like if every Friday evening was that perfect :) Thank you so much Peter & Lori!

This is a beautiful home up in the hills, absolutely gorgeous. It was very relaxing to have coffee on the lanai every morning. It’s also close to stores and activities, and yet is a lovely comfortable respite in the trees from the day’s adventures. Beds are comfy, and it feels like a home away from home. Also, the neighborhood roads are very pretty for walking!

We stayed at Lumin’s place for a night near Volcanoes National Park, and it was an absolute gem. Surrounded by lush, beautiful plants, the home felt like a peaceful retreat. We arrived in the rain and left with sunshine—it was magical. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We picked up some fresh fruit from the Hilo Farmers Market and enjoyed a cozy, rainy evening with good food in this lovely setting. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect place to stay on the Kona side. Close to all attractions and super well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Couldn’t have wished for more.

Excellent location for all you may want to do in Kona. Beautiful view of ocean. All the amenities made our stay extra special. Davide has thought of everything. Sand toys, snorkels, cooler, telescope for dolphin watching, he has it all. The Green Flash Coffee right next store was super convenient to go to for breakfast every morning and was delicious. Would stay again.

This is the second time I’ve stayed in this building at this complex. I prefer Kitty’s place because it’s on the top floor, with the best set up on the patio. I appreciated the low chairs—and having three chairs— and a little table. I spent every evening out there and I loved it so much. Everything else in the apartment was great, including the bed, extra pillows, work table, and couch, and Kitty responded quickly to my questions. You can walk to the best dining and bar experiences. You cannot find a nicer place here; just remember to bring your own shampoo and conditioner 😬. I will return!

Dan & Kristen’s place was perfect. Had everything we needed. Both beds were comfortable. Pool was great and the bbq area was prime. Close to everything.. had no issues with parking. We would stay here again. Mahalo 🤙🏼

This place is incredible! Ocean view is incomparable. Locations is amazing. We could have stayed for weeks and never used our car. Great sandy beach just downstairs. Endless snorkeling right out your door. We often went out for a snorkel in the morning with just our masks and swimsuits. It was so convenient to leave all of our valuables in the condo and not worry. Then you can just pop upstairs and make lunch and do it all over in the afternoon! Restaurant downstairs has great food! Paranaz was an incredibly accommodating host. She was super responsive and friendly. She helped us out with a lot of special request and never hesitated to help meet our needs. Phenomenal amenities, from beach gear to bathroom supplies. We didn’t need to buy a thing besides groceries. There’s even plenty of cooking condiments, so convenient. Bed was super comfy! Best one out of the five air bnbs we stayed in over three islands. This place will absolutely be our big island go to!
