Holiday rentals with beach access in South Kona

My second time here -- the best house, with the kindest hosts. Well-stocked kitchen and living space, and I love this neighborhood so much.

Tony and Larissa were very welcoming. It’s clear they put a lot of care and intent in their Airbnb. This is evident in quality cookware in the kitchen, a beyond comfortable bed, and hand-crafted home improvement projects. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed Kathy’s condo. It was close to all of our snorkeling tours. Kathy is a very responsive host and gave great recommendations for food and activities. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

we loved our stay, Matt and Rose's place was the perfect getaway for our 'Baby-moon'. the space is so peaceful and so much more beautiful than the pictures let on. we loved it here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. we would stay again in a heartbeat. thanks so much Matt and Rose!

Really liked this place. easy walk on alii drive to restaurants and local spots. 2-3 local beaches nearby. pool and the black rocks behind it with the ocean view was beautiful at sunset. Exactly what was expected! Safe area. Loved the extra touches like the macadamia nut pancake mix :)

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

This is my go to place in Kailua-Kona from now on. You can't go wrong with this place. Its on Ali'i drive, close to the ocean and close to town. It has nice pool overlooking the ocean. Everything in the condo was up-to-date, fresh and clean. Everything worked wonderfully. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, sheets were 100% cotton and soft. The furniture in the living room was nice and comfy. Decor is tasteful and shows off some local artists. There was a ton of snorkel and beach gear and the bikes were cool, though we didn't use them. I liked that there was coffee available for the first morning. The air conditioner worked beautifully but we really only needed the fans most of the time. It is close to the road and you can hear road noise but this didn't bother us. There's a white noise generator if it does bother you. The price was super reasonable. We got two nights for what you might pay for one anywhere else in town. Thanks for the excellent experience!

The view alone is worth the price! Everything was so lush and beautiful! We felt like we were in our very own private resort. We enjoyed the spacious house itself and the outdoor area. The pool was great and the beds were super comfortable! This was a great base to explore the entire Big Island of Hawaii! I would recommend this home to anyone! Just book it already!

Absolutely beautiful home, exactly as the photos show and as described. Located in a lovely neighborhood and a great place to unplug and unwind. Spotty cell service (as expected for the location) but WiFi was excellent and allowed us to make calls if needed, plus there is a landline if needed. All amenities a traveler could need, including beach towels, toiletries, and spices/cooking supplies. Loved the nightlife (literal nightlife like frogs singing the song of their people at night). We felt safe and comfortable in this luxurious hideaway! Would definitely stay again! Yvette was also a great cohost who offered lots of tips for restaurants and sightseeing! We found them very useful and her local insight made our trip even better!

just as described. located next to the secret hot springs and the nude beach! a quiet peaceful neighborhood with so much Beauty. A very responsive host and wonderful attitude! and don't forget the stars at night, amazing!

Wow, Magic Shack blew us away! These hosts seriously thought of EVERYTHING - stuff we didn't even know we'd need until we needed it! Their info booklet was a total lifesaver, pointing us to all the cool local spots. The place was super clean and decorated so cute - total island vibes! Kitchen had all the gadgets, and they hooked us up with awesome beach gear too. What really got us was how they seemed to read our minds - from coffee beans to bandaids and sunscreen, it was all there waiting. Made this feel way more special than just some rental. And that porch located in the jungle? :) Pure heaven! Couldn't have asked for a better spot! Coffee in hand, we'd breathe in the natural perfume around us - I already miss plumeria scent :)) cannot wait to come back - hopefully one day. Mahalo and aloha :)

This home was perfect for our long weekend getaway, so close tot the volcano and really nice neighborhood; about 40 min from the airport, we enjoyed our morning walks in the neighborhood, the fireplace was great for the really cold mornings and evenings. Home was well stocked with extra blankets and towels; easy to get into home with code, and host was very responsive when we booked

Incredible place! Beautiful gardens. Walking distance to beach. Great location for day trips. Jill has an amazing attention to detail and the spacious studio displays all of her artistic prowess. It's truly a sanctuary to unwind and chill out. Do yourself a favor and book it for as long as your vacation allows.

Our family loved the house. There was plenty of space for everyone and the set up was perfect for our needs. We especially loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings, and falling asleep to the sound of the tree frogs. The location was a further from the ocean than we realized, but we enjoyed the lushness of the hilly terrain and would stay there again. Susan and Iris were very responsive when we reported a few minor appliance issues and it didn't impact our overall experience.

Loved this home! Perfect location across the street from awesome snorkeling. Well stocked with fins and snorkels (although if you have multiple adults who want to swim, not all the gear is as good as the others). Had a high chair, two pack and plays, and a booster seat (not advertised but so useful!). The master bedroom is without a door so light sleepers beware. Lots of towels and shampoo/conditioner. Love the outdoor shower downstairs. Host was responsive.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The location couldn’t have been more perfect. It had a great view of the ocean, sunset, walking distance to a ton of restaurants, coffee shops and along the beautiful coastal strip. We felt right at home and it was a great place to experience The Big Island 🏝️ Mahalo!

We loved staying at Vincent's place. Very clean, comfortable furniture, great kitchen, and amazing location. It's a 15 minute walk or a 3-minute drive to A-Bay, which is a wonderful and calm beach for swimming. The condo was stocked with chairs, umbrellas, and towels, even boogie boards and snorkels. Great location, we loved exploring the Kohala Coast and the surrounding beaches, and there is good food within Waikoloa Beach and in the surrounding resorts. AC kept things comfortable and we loved the shaded patio for breakfast. Thanks for a great stay and I hope we get to come back!

The beach gear was so much fun for our beach days, the location was great and close to pretty much everything we wanted to do on the trip, we loved our morning coffee on the lanai, and the decor was a plus, loved it all! Beautiful clean and roomy condo in a perfect location. Close to everything Kona had to offer. I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay inside or while out on the beach. Would highly recommend! And would love to come back one day. Thanks again for an awesome vacation!

Excellent location for all you may want to do in Kona. Beautiful view of ocean. All the amenities made our stay extra special. Davide has thought of everything. Sand toys, snorkels, cooler, telescope for dolphin watching, he has it all. The Green Flash Coffee right next store was super convenient to go to for breakfast every morning and was delicious. Would stay again.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Awesome location and lodgings. The soothing sounds of the ocean are the best.

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.
