Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in South India

What an incredible location, hosts, accommodation, and food! I need to give a special mention to Vihanga who was an amazing host and we had some amazing conversations and he helped me immensely with arranging transport for future trips, and also arranging a tuk tuk to drop and pick me up for the day. His Mother prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast (dinner was very reasonably priced too). I loved every minute of my stay - thank you! ❤️

Back of Beyond Pidurangala is located in the middle of a forest with a thick tree cover. Its evident the hotel has done its best to preserve the nature as much as possible. Walking distance to the pidurangala rock. Many beautiful lakes nearby, great food and friendly staff. Bikes can be rented for sight seeing. 5-stars for everything!!

Its a very nice place with a very pleasant ambience. The people are very good and its a safe place for family. Will always chose this for vacations in kollam.

Our stay at Clayfingers was wonderful. The hosts and helpers were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely exceptional, a real highlight of our visit. Every meal was made with love and creativity. Breakfast is complimentary. The price for lunch / dinner was 500 rupees per each meal , per person. It’s also possible to purchase drinks and snacks for an extra fee. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the stunning garden, a peaceful oasis. Unfortunately we didn't have time for a pottery class, but it's definitely something we'd love to try on a future visit. One suggestion for the future would be to offer a filtered water refill station, reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles. This would align perfectly with the guesthouse's beautiful, natural setting and contribute to a more sustainable experience. Overall, we highly recommend Clayfingers for a relaxing and memorable stay. We look forward to returning

I had a wonderful two-day stay at this beautiful property. The location is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and a private beach that made for a peaceful and relaxing experience. The property itself is well-maintained, offering both comfort and privacy. A special mention to Robin, the caretaker, who was incredibly helpful and made sure everything was taken care of. The food was delicious and added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a serene escape with great hospitality, this is the perfect place. Highly recommend!

The accommodation is small but nice. The cabin is functionally equipped and you have little space, everything you need. The resort where she is located surprised us positively. A pool was only a few meters away and most of the time we were the only users. The site is very green and well maintained. The food in the restaurant was good and plentiful and the service in a higher standard than we are used to from the other places we visited in Sri Lanka.

I had the most amazing stay in Agonda at Manveers place. The accommodation and location was perfect and the food at Manveers kitchen was delicious! I miss my Pinacoladas at sunset every day and the wonderful staff who made everything about my stay just perfect. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to come back one day soon.

Kairi Vishranti is definitely for the nature lover, Mr. Abhay provided everything from Mosquito net, repellent to Hot water kettle, tea, coffee, milk powder and shower amenities. He also helped us in preparing our tour itinerary, and guided us where to visit and eat. The complimentary morning tea was great, and home cooked meals were tasty. Don't plan to visit Ganpatipule on Monday as everything is closed, also there is no electricity on Monday we took shower with cold water. It was pleasant stay and even our 2 doggies 🐕 enjoyed.

Amazing place, beautiful surroundings with lots of nature, very tranquil and peaceful. The cottage is spacious and well-decorated. There is a nice pool and Banya (Russian style sauna) at the property too.

There’s no network and the caretaker want on the property when we reached. It took us about half an hour to sort it out. It’s basically a line of rooms fronted by a garden. 10 mins drive to the awas beach. Luckily for us the other rooms were empty and so we had the whole place to ourselves. Swara was an excellent cook! We enjoyed the food very much. All in all we had a great time but don’t know how it would have been if the other rooms were occupied The only negative thing was the room has a double bed which is fine but the pull out is very hard and uncomfortable

It was a lovely peaceful place to spend time with friends. We went as a group of 12 and we enjoyed our time there without any hassle. Special appreciation to the caretaker who was very helpful in guiding us and helping us. The food that was served was also very good. The small dining area outdoor is a great place to hang out. Small inconvenience was the map location pointed us to somewhere random and we had trouble reaching out to the landlord because of no signal, had to depend on locals. The rooms are not interconnected, almost like 4 different properties.

we stayed in this place for 2 days. initially we had thought of exploring kotagiri side. we had booked a cab who ditched us half way and we contacted host and they arranged a cab for us immediately. We got picked in time. And dinner was served at room. Breakfast is complimentary with stay and it's delicious and tasty. We loved our stay overall. Definitely will visit again. Really cooperative staff and very helpful.

Where do I even begin with this magical place? First the actual place: it's located down a long winding track on the banks of a beautiful little lake. The immaculately maintained cottages open up to either the lake or a verdant forest. You are met every morning by a cacophony of bird chants. There's a huge natural boulder on the property from which to contemplate the universe. The four dogs - Dexter, Tani, Kalu, Moy - provide company on walks unprompted while the five-month-old kitten Sudhu provides cuddles on site! What makes this place truly memorable are the couple who run it - Amila's parents Kumari and Somadasa. I have rarely met such warm, generous, caring, attentive people. Kumari provides food on request and uses hyper-local produce to prepare delicious, quintessentially Sri Lankan food. Far better than the expensive local restaurants. You may be in middle of the jungle but local attractions and amenities are just 15 mins away! I hope to come back again and again.

The perfect place to retreat when you need solitude and peace. Ravikiran and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming, but what truly stood out were the heartfelt breakfast conversations—they made it feel like home. Such humble and kind hosts; I’d love to return for a longer stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at Ella Happy View. Our train into Ella got delayed so it was tricky to find at night but once we were there it was a convenient location. The hosts were kind, had a beautiful garden, and served a hearty breakfast. Highly recommended. Thank you!

The place is very well done up and hosts were warm and lovely. The best part about this place, was undoubtedly the food. Mangala and her team were excellent and catered to everything we required.

Felt like I was in a remote Goan village airbnb. Right next to highway and still apart from the feel of the city. The bedroom is like a small one room cottage, vintage vibes, The terrace living area is big - and reminds one of trips we used to take but now can’t anymore. The garden and trees made me not miss a visit to a remote village that we need. Ground floor is a full home, in the bedroom of which Sailor uncle lives, while the top area is all yours. Honestly speaking, we felt the whole property was a home to us, quick chats with uncle, then using the verandah and swing - no restrictions at all. I mean, yes there’s aesthetic luxury in travel that we all pay diamonds for, but this here won’t cost a diamond and will give you nostalgia and peace and comfort and a good feel overall. Yes don’t expect perfection, for the vibe is of that of a great remote cabin for a good time away from the world, and yet within minutes away from it.

We really loved our stay at valampuri. The staff were very helpful for all of our needs, Akash and Javid really looked after us and always made sure everything was ok. The food was tasty and the rooms clean. There is a boat service to the kite spot and you can also access by scooter or tuktuk. The hotel is just up wind of the kite spot, so quickly accessible. Definitely recommend this place for a good friendly time in kaliptya.

This place is a hidden gem. Situated right in the coffee estate forest with mountains in the backdrop, this place is best suited if you really want to disconnect and spend good 2D/N in the nature. I loved the 4 kms off road drive to the homestay. Anyone who has decent experience of driving can take their car without any issue or damage. I had a long sedan and it took mininal efforts to take it up and down. The place is extremely serene, has just 3 cabins, which offers great privacy to your stay. You get your own private bonfire as well in the night. Caretaker and cook aunty is awesome. The highlight is the home cooked food which was finger licking. I would suggest to have all three meals there. While there was no mobile network, the place had high speed internet and wifi which would stream any OTT easily. We were fortunate to get the rains as well. We would definitely pay a visit to this place once again.

We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay. Maintain the peace and enjoy the sound of the sea all around you! Absolutely loved the property and would definitely stay there again! We also had the most helpful staff and they were accommodating of any requests. Thank you for a great experience.

As given in photo, we were offered a full private room on 1st floor. The surrounding is beautiful. Bushy and green. You can hear wild animal sounds coming from distance and whole room was lighten by big glass windows as described in photos. The caretaker and Jaswanath were too helpful and prompt in resolving queries. We cooked our own meals and breakfast prepared by them was very tasty. I loved staying there. A heavenly 3 nights spent there.
