We had such a lovely time! The place was incredibly clean and tidy, which made settling in so easy. We especially loved how peaceful and secluded it felt — the quiet surroundings were exactly what we needed to unwind. It was cosy and comfortable, just the way we enjoy our getaways. This spot is a perfect winter staycation, and we’d definitely book again!

We stayed in the Wheat Cabin. The view was fantastic, the cabin well equipped with everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a great addition and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabin is private and the best break away from the hustle and bustle. Lida and Kobus were fantastic hosts and ensured that we had no shortcomings, including complimentary wine and homemade bread.We will be back soon!

Had a lovely stay in the cottage. You are really out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views around and the stars at night were spectacular. The included game drive was great! We saw giraffes, springbok, wildebeast and some antelope on the drive. We also saw zebras while driving on our way out. The bathtub was massive. Nice towels and robes as well. We used the pizza oven and braai and enjoyed the semi catered package. Note - there were a fair amount of flies in and around the cottage and they were quite annoying but bugs were expected with the remote location. I recommend taking a SUV vs a car when driving there.

We had an amazing 2 days here. Very peaceful! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from the city. The cabin is comfy and has all you need for a relaxed timeout.

Will and Franziska have a lovely accommodation and we’re always eager to help with recommendations or problems. After a long day exploring Cape Town there is nothing better than relaxing in the sauna and enjoy the stunning view from the patio.

What a great weekend getaway for any season. We had a wonderful time on a rainy weekend with the fire place and hot tub. The hosts were responsive and the place is fully equipped.

Anton was a very responsive and accommodating host. The place is tucked away in nature which means lots of serene sounds, peace and quietness. The place is decked out with all the basic cooking stuff, guides and books to really disconnect from our city lives. Only challenge was getting our small rental car over the driveway to the cabin. Highly recommended

A lovely, quirky cottage in the mountains with loads of personality and surrounded by nature. Graham is a friendly and responsive host who makes you feel at home before you even arrive.

It was such a treat to be a part of Helen's beautiful farm life for a week. There is a peaceful bustle about, while retaining your privacy. Helen is lovely, helpful and makes you feel right at home. The perfect cost-effective base to explore Hogsback from - and dog friendly was an absolute bonus (you even have your own fenced backyard). Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Our stay was an absolute delight! The accommodation is spacious and has all the amenities one could need. Everything worked, and ordering extra wood was a breeze. They definitely put a lot of thought into smaller details as well, and it really went a long way in making us feel at home and not experiencing one bit of inconvenience for our entire stay. The yard is pretty big, and the dogs had a blast running around. There are ample spots to relax inside and outside, all of them with a stunning view. I'd definitely recommend stocking up on your entire stay's goodies, as you wouldn't want to leave the place if you are only there for a two or three-night stay.

We had a wonderful few days at Ashley's place on a farm in the Klein Karoo. Wide open spaces with blissful silence and the magical Karoo with its starstudded nightsky while keeping warm around a crackling fire is really a special experience. The accommodation is comprehensively equipped with all you need and you are even supplied with a crate of wood every day for those lovely nighttime fires. Co-host Stephné is always available and very attentive to make sure you have a memorable experience in this unique part of the world. Highly Recommended!

I went away with my mother as a birthday trip for her, needing somewhere serene and peaceful. Stephan and Anna’s place was exactly that. It was a step away from the chaos and we were able to so easily relax in their beautiful setting. The cottage was cosy, had all we needed and that fire place was incredible! Anna was so attentive, checking in on us, helping us with anything we needed that it felt like you were staying with someone you knew. We will definitely be back and have already told plenty of family and friends.

My stay was a unique experience. The views from the house were incredible, even better than the pictures advertised. Very easy check in and no issues with getting in and out etc. The only issue we had was that there was a power outage on the second day, but that's to be expected in South Africa. Susan, was great to communicate the issue and progress updates. She even offered us a free extra night if we wanted to stay a little longer. Would love go back one day and I highly recommend this spot.

Our stay at Matilda & Dean’s stunning home in Wilderness was absolutely unforgettable. The 180-degree sea views are simply breathtaking—pictures don’t do it justice! Every detail in the home was on point, from the cozy fireplace in the lounge to the thoughtful addition of heaters in each bedroom, which made the entire space warm and inviting despite the winter chill. The property is not only beautiful but incredibly comfortable, and you can tell that every effort has been made to ensure guests feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better winter getaway. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the Forest Cabin was absolutely magical. The cabin itself is beautiful—thoughtfully designed, cozy, and perfectly nestled in nature. Surrounded by lush bushes, with the ocean nearby and even zebras wandering around, it felt like a dream come true. It’s the ideal place to relax, disconnect, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. We loved sitting on the porch, listening to the sounds of nature, and watching wildlife right outside. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a truly unique and unforgettable experience—we can’t wait to return!
