If you’re here to surf, Ben‘s house is the place to be. You cannot get closer to the ocean than this, and Messanges offers the longest and quietest surf beach in the area. We’ve had a fantastic time, and the house just made of even more special: breakfasts on the terrace, waking up to pure silence and breathing in the fresh ocean air.

Awesome stay A true haven of peace

Good family stay in this charming house. The location of the residence is really very good, we particularly appreciated the traffic ban on cars (if only for the safety of children, often on bicycles), the proximity of the bike paths (at the exit of the residence!) to the lake and the beaches, the amenities of the residence (swimming pool, mini golf, tennis, etc.) AND the house! And we feel that our host really cares about facilitating our arrival, our stay and our departure!

We both loved the area and the house. Good house for 7 people. Good communication with the owner. Thank you for everything. 😊

Very cozy, modern and consistent in every way with the photos. The location is an asset, with the proximity of the lake, shops and the beach. Perfect bedding. And the best part, a garage with a very steep slope (be careful). Too bad the cleaning is extra, but especially very expensive. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

We stayed 6 nights in the apartment, felt very comfortable from the first moment and would have liked to stay longer. Everything is as described, practical and friendly and simply a very nice place. The interactions with Agnès and Jean-Marie were very friendly and uncomplicated, thank you also for the cake to welcome us and the tips for the area. The location is great, the view from the terrace of the dunes is very nice, the beach behind the dune is also nice. We also did a lot of cycling, there are good bike paths. Conclusion: We will definitely be happy to come back.

The apartment is in a fantastic location on the inner lake and right behind the sea, very popular with golf surfers. The view from the terrace is beautiful, even in cloudy weather, which we unfortunately had. The ambiance and the design of the location give a wonderful holiday feeling. The decoration of the apartment is functional with a beachy vibe and the beach, the tourist shops and restaurants are within walking distance. At the bottom of the apartment, the wooden decking path runs for hikers, which (before the busy holiday period) gives a cozy atmosphere. For dog owners, it is good to know that from 1 June, dogs are partly not allowed on the nearby beach (and most beaches there). To relax and enjoy the salty bliss, we can highly recommend this gem!

Very nice apartment, bright and airy. We were able to visit the city of Anglet as well as Biarritz and Bayonne on foot. Shops accessible on foot.

We enjoyed Nathalie and Carlos' accommodation for 4 days. Wonderful experience. The view from the accommodation is magnificent. The apartment is clean, well decorated, functional... we quickly felt at home. Convenient for leaving the car and enjoying the surroundings on foot. Communicating with hosts is easy and seamless. We were hosted very well. And we'll keep the address for a future getaway. Thank you again Nathalie and Carlos!

Thank you Jean-Philiphe and Violetta for hosting us. Friendly and available hosts. The accommodation is clean and well-equipped. Ideally located for discovering the Basque country and the Landes. The village of Hastingues is nice to discover, quiet. Just remember to take a good mosquito repellent, the proximity to the gaves brings some. We recommend this listing and will not hesitate to return if the opportunity arises.

The place was lovely and so peaceful! We had a great time in this beautiful area. The accommodation is very well equipped, quiet and without any vis-a-vis, a real jewel in a green setting. Chantal is a very welcoming host, she informed us very well, the communication was very fluid and she is very flexible. I would definitely recommend it without hesitation.

Very nice renovation 🙂 Location. With two young children, we were able to access the lake, restaurants, skatepark and village by stroller. Bike paths are also accessible right next to the house.

Very nice accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay – everything was exactly as described and we felt completely comfortable. Framboise is a wonderful host: warm, attentive and always trying to make sure her guests don't miss anything. We really appreciated their friendly welcome and communication. A small note for tall people: The bed is a little tight for two people with a lot of body size – for my partner at 1.95 m it was not quite ideal, as of course I also had to use it. Beautiful private house in a tranquil forest location. Photos are accurate and would recommend this property to others. Short walk to beach and local shops and restaurants. House very well equipped with all that you would need. Hosts welcoming and communication was good.
